Look, I’m not saying surgery threw me for a loop, but ummm…yeah. This is the only way I can explain the level of exhaustion I’ve had since surgery 😆😂😆 I can’t stay asleep for long because I am in a lot of pain and feel like my back side has been run through a paper shredder several times over and then my eyeballs with their scleritis flare up that hit me Wednesday really doesn’t help the pain. Well…I’ve had this great little problem I can only describe as being like narcolepsy, but with insomnia sprinkled in. I can’t sleep AT ALL during the nights, but then during the day I cannot stay awake for the life of me. I keep falling asleep in the middle of things. I keep nodding off mid sentence verbally or typing txts/ emails. There mayyyyyy have also been a couple instances where I sleep ordered some things too 😆😂😆 I somehow manage to fall asleep with my fingers on the screen so it’s kind of anybody’s guess what may get typed or ordered or anything else 😆 LOL I feel like this snippet of a txt exchange sums up my problem pretty well 😆 the irony is almost too much to handle given that I was attempting to explain my issue when I narcolepsied myself again 😆 man…I really need to get my sleep schedule back on track 😆 #surgery #surgeryrecovery #sotired #cantstayawake #cantsleep #insomnia #narcolepsy #whatishappening

I could never make it through a movie🍿 Ralph would get so frustrated...poke me and say… “You’re snoring”! I couldn’t help it! I was exhausted! Running a business, teaching several courses, caring for the needs of 3 kids, a house and a dog (yeah… I believed the kids when they said they’d take care of the dog if we got one🐕)... Friend...I was constantly “on”! So when we finally had time together...my down time...I completely crashed. This was not good for our marriage! I got so angry every time he poked me that I would jump up, stomp upstairs and get so upset that he didn’t understand how tired I was. Truth was...I didn’t understand how worn out my body was. I was struggling with exhaustion, stress and overwhelm...not to mention bloat and extra lbs. But...It was the movie night fights that were the last straw.🥊 I knew I had to do something about it or we’d end up in separate bedrooms! Good morning. I thought I’d give you an update. So following the bad cold I had a few weeks back, I’ve had a very bad week and struggling to stay awake! So yesterday I went to the doc and after an hour and a half of tests and back and forth, he says I have Postviral fatigue syndrome and has signed me off for a week. I don’t sleep great normally, but that’s all I’m doing at the moment!! I slept for 11.5 hours last night and am now on the sofa ready for a nap!!
