Old photo! Feeling a bit ostomy odd! Unsure why I’m feeling like this. I’ve had one for 7 years going on 8 years. But this new stoma doesn’t feel apart of me yet! I know it looks better than the last two. It’s a tiny dot compared to the others. 6 wks post op and still feeling pains that which are cramping around my new stoma. My pelvis still feels like it’s been booted by a horse. But saying that I’m trying to not to have to many strong painkillers. Also I am struggling with small blockages which I can’t eat many veggies anymore. With my last stoma of 7 years I could eat most things and knew my dangerous foods. Now I’m wondering what to eat! I’ll soon look like a piece of meat and a potato! This is why I do what I do.. 1 week between pictures! Zoom in check the health of the skin, skin quality and hydration is key! Find a therapist that understands the pain in the first picture! If you do not see or feel a difference after a massage, YOURE NOT DRAINED - Hands only, never tape, never a needle used or reopening of incision!! TIP: Skin Hydration is key to post liposuction recovery, always use natural organic pure oil, skin is fragile and extremely sensitive (think pain similar to sunburn) due to disruption of skin sebum and histamine production. This affects skin movement and function, and is why tape is not suitable for liposuction aftercare! You wouldn’t tape or cup sunburn! There are 3 layers to the skin, just because the epidermis looks ok the deeper layers are damaged so actually contraindicated to most therapy techniques. Care of the skin is key to drainage! Anyone who disagrees with this statement ask them for images of results using tape or other methods that beat my hands only results in same time frame. FULL BODY ALWAYS! It’s a system you cannot drain one area and expect noticeable instant results like this! My lovely client has received aggressive liposuction, the first picture is large plane fluid accumulation. She had received massages elsewhere prior to her first visit to myself (1st pic) without any results. Techniques unique to myself, and what a difference on her second visit yesterday only 1 week later.. Rarely do clients require more than 1 weekly massage! Key is to properly drain and leave so not to overstimulate which can increase fibrosis! Less is more in this case. TAPES, AGGRESSIVE METHODS ARE NOT REQUIRED - TIME AND CARE ONLY! This system plays a big role in your immune system by helping your body detox pathogens. When I dry brush I usually do it before a sauna session to help open my pores or before I hop in the shower. I start from my feet and work my way up my body in long sweeping motions towards my heart. After my feet, legs, and mid-section I move to my arms. Lastly, I work in a clockwise circular motion when dry brushing my abdomen to help support digestion. Follow up blood draw this morning. As is the norm for me my veins didn't want to give up their juice so a double whammy for me 😜🤣🤗 One in each arm just to keep me balanced i guess hahaha Lana was my phlebotomist and she was great- we had some laughs which always makes things easier. Still having some symptoms and feeling quite shaky at times. Follow up appointment tomorrow arvo hoping for some good news or at least answers 👍 Wondering if ill be able to head back to work next week or if ill need some more time off. In the meantime I just have to rest and trust the process. The foot’s pretty bruised up, but “looking good” according to my care team, and I’m also cleared to start pedaling on the trainer, in the boot and on flat pedals in zone 1 🙌. Don't think I've done one in awhile, so quick little Monday health update. Today is 12, 10 and 7 weeks post ops. Sometimes I have to remind myself to give myself a break cause that's still pretty recent, especially factoring in the complications after the last surgery. Hip is gonna take more time than I thought to rebuild but it's going great. I just had unrealistic expectations lol. Gi and colorectal stuff was improving but with some new annoying things that need to be addressed. Had a bit of a backwards slide this week but Ill be fine and just one more thing to be addressed at upcoming appointments. I guess I was having so much fun out here I forgot I came out to finish healing and recovering.
