Esta historia es un urban fantasy en el que tenemos a nuestra protagonista, Aria, que llega a su pueblo después de haber pasado una temporada en Portland. Pero, cuando vuelve a casa de su madre, descubre que todo ha cambiado, que su madre ya no vive sola y que le guarda muchos secretos. Llevaba un montón de tiempo queriendo leer este libro, pero, por cosas de la vida, todavía no lo había hecho. Fue cuando fui al Crush Fest que dije «esta es la mía» y me compré el libro y, encima, me lo firmó Lidia, la autora, que es majísima. Me lo empecé al día siguiente de volver del festival y, chicas, ¡qué maravilla! Era la primera vez que leía urban fantasy y me ha gustado un montón. Creo que Lidia ha hecho un trabajo increíble con el worldbuilding de la historia, de verdad; me ha flipado y me ha parecido bastante original (o por lo menos yo no he leído nada parecido). Y qué decir de los personajes. Aria me ha gustado muchísimo, la entiendo mil cuando no se daba por vencida para encontrar la verdad detrás de todo el misterio aunque la gente de su alrededor se lo impidiese y ocultándoselo para «protegerla». ¿Cómo va a protegerse de algo que no conoce? En fin. Y, bueno, Killian… Lo que me gusta a mí un personaje gris de pelo oscuro. Increíble. Me ha gustado mucho su evolución. Y Jared y Zoey también me han gustado un montón, sobre todo las salidas que tenía Jared en los momentos más serios😂 En fin, que me ha encantado el libro. Solo puedes esperar a que se cure y aprender a vivir con una bonita cicatriz». Jo, qué feliz me hace publicar este post. Lo voy a hacer distinto ya que este libro es muy muy especial para mí. He tenido el gran privilegio de trabajar con Lidia en el proceso de edición y no puedo explicar con palabras lo increíble que ha sido todo el proceso. Qué bonito es disfrutar de tu trabajo tanto como lo hago yo. Este libro nació hace muchos años y ha ido cambiando en el proceso y en el tiempo al igual que lo ha hecho Lidia. Es INCREÍBLE la evolución que ha tenido su estilo de escritura y de creación a lo largo de todo el libro. Y el resultado final no puede ser mejor. 📖 NECESITO destacar dos cosas: 🌸 WORLDBUILDING: lo que ha creado esta señorita es una fantasía, literalmente. Tiene un nivel de detalle que no os podéis imaginar lo que ha costado dejarlo todo bien atado en el proceso de edición. Lidia un día dijo «yo quiero liarla parda» y aquí estamos. Y seguiremos yendo porque lo que se viene en el segundo... no estáis NADA ready. 🫣 🌸PERSONAJES: simplemente ✨Jared✨. Mi parte fan está indignadísima de ver tan pocas menciones sobre mi bebé Jared porque es MARAVILLOSO y es el mejor. Lo amo, me río muchísimo con él y me parece que es el que le da todo el aire necesario a la historia —que con tanto drama que hay no viene mal—. Pero también estoy especialmente orgullosa del tira y afloja de Killian y Aria, es que, ¿hola? Lidia, chillando me tienes todo el tiempo.🔥 Así que, a modo de resumen express: small town, slow burn, enemies to lovers, secretitos, fantasía con romance y mucha investigación con tintes mágicos. Yo no sé qué más se puede pedir ya. Un 5/5✨ en este inicio de trilogía tan TREMENDO. Y enhorabuena a Lidia, estoy orgullosísima de ti, de todo lo que has crecido y conseguido. Há livros que nos enviam a outros livros. Estava lendo o "Ex-libris: confissões de uma leitora comum", de Anne Fadiman, e em determinado ponto ela descreve a biblioteca de seu pai, ao referir-se a alguns livros aos quais ela não tinha acesso quando criança. Tratava-se do pequeno acervo de obras eróticas que seu pai mantinha, longe, lá no alto. Um desses era este que trago aqui hoje: "Minha Vida e Amores", de Frank Harris🇮🇪🇺🇸. Publicado em 5 volumes, entre 1925 e 1963, foi proibido, o autor foi processado, passou por todas as situações que os (bons) livros do gênero passam. Como tenho eu também a minha subcoleção de Literatura erótica, não perdi muito tempo para conseguir um exemplar, tendo achado este, de 1963, que reúne os 5 perigosos volumes. Não posso negar que há passagens bem ousadas, mas o trabalho concentra-se mesmo é na vida de Harris, que, diga-se, tinha desmedido amor-próprio, pois passa o texto quase todo a gabar-se de suas habilidades literárias e a desfilar o impressionante rol de personagens importantes, artistas, escritores, políticos, milionários, ministros, príncipes e reis com quem conviveu. É obra que vale a pena ler, pois, abstraindo-se a vaidade do autor, obtém-se profundo conhecimento do panorama político e artístico, principalmente literário, internacional do final do séc. 19 e do começo do séc. 20. Mais do que o erótico, o mérito mesmo está na crônica de uma época que se acabaria com a Segunda Guerra Mundial (e nunca mais o mundo seria o mesmo). Ah, e devo dizer que as palavras de Harris me conduziram a outros livros que não tardarão a aparecer por aqui. "O desejo", observei, "é a porta e o guia para o amor. A beleza física, por assim dizer, pode ser vista e medida, enquanto o afeto e a devoção precisam de tempo para ser apreciados. Ella es un torbellino y no puede parar quieta , quiere investigar para saber que es lo que está pasando en todo momento 🌸 Killian es un chico misterioso, sarcástico y tiene mucho tira y afloja con Aria. 🌸 Enemies to lovers 🌸 Misterio + fantasía + intriga + secretos + romance 🌸Slow burn 🌸 La ambientación y la trama me ha parecido muy original 4,5/5⭐️ Me he quedado asi 🤯.
