This morning I got to see Avatar: The Way of Water before its official release on Friday with other Animal Kingdom Cast Members! We heard that James Cameron and John Landau actually requested for DAK CMs to be among the first to see the movie, which is incredible (and a huge Irayo to them). There was even a special intro for us featuring Sigourney Weaver and some of the other Avatar actors. I really enjoyed The Way of Water and was blown away by the spectacular visuals and the new creatures of Pandora. I think I actually like this one more than the first! There’s no better way to see a new movie in theaters than planning out an evening at Disney Springs for it! • Last night I saw Strange World and really enjoyed it! It was pulling at my emotions hard in the first 10 minutes and it’s a really great story. Seeing the main character being openly gay, talking about liking another guy with family and friends with no negative reaction, and it not being the major plot point but just a character detail was FANTASTIC to see. THIS is what representation and diversity in media should be like. Could the story have existed without him being gay? Sure. Wouldn’t really change much. And that’s what is great about it. I can’t stop thinking about some closeted teenager seeing this movie with family this holiday season and seeing the ideal acceptance they long for portrayed up on screen. Have you seen it? • • I watched it today at Disney Springs and being back in a theater to see a marvel movie is an experience! The audience reaction and energy, especially on an opening weekend, is like none other. And of course, you’ve got to go for the fun photo ops outside! (Swipe for my attempt at a superhero landing) • • 💥 Spoiler Free Review: This movie is SO good and worth the wait! I can’t help but feel it would have hit different a year and a half ago but it still gives us some good context on events in Natasha’s pre and post Avengers life. It’s also possibly one of the funnier marvel movies - it’s heartfelt and action packed but PLENTY of comic relief right there with it. CRUELLA HAS ARRIVED 🖤🤍 I saw the new @disneycruella live action last night at Disney Springs! Now in theaters and on Disney Plus Premier Access! • • 🎥 The movie was truly much better than I expected. I didn’t have a lot of expectations and didn’t know much about what the story was going in. It took some turns... some pretty major OMG moments and plot twists... it’s exactly what an origin story should be (very marvel esque in that way) and I love seeing villains get more depth than they get in the original movies! • • 🍿 This was also my first time in a movie theater since 2019! Being back felt really natural and wasn’t bad at all like I thought it might be! We did the AMC dine in at Springs so had reclining seats, and lots of space! They are still distancing and closing off seats too. Because it was dine in, masks were off pretty much the whole time for everyone. Not a problem given the extra space! You do have to order when you enter and have it brought to you, they haven’t resumed servers in the theater yet at this location! Still, the food was good and the experience was very positive!
