We have all been told that grinding and working hard is the only way we get rewarded for “things” we deem ourselves worthy of. This is huge. Are you focusing on allowing your child to feel thier emotions all the way through to completion? Whatever form that may take - are you allowing and accepting? Or Are you focusing on fixing them, the feelings and ultimately trying to get those feelings to go away? Our children have this built-in system that allows them to offload big feelings. They're experts at releasing and then moving on with ease and flow. Ultimately it is us as the parents that struggle with these big releases and big emotions. It's hard for us to not want to stop the big feelings or "fix" our children. When we consistently try to stop this process from happening or try to "fix it" we ultimately interfere with our child's innate ability to release and flow. We create drama around the event, which can cause a great deal of anxiety, shame and even fear for our children around big meltdowns or tantrums. Not only that but focusing on making these big feelings go away ultimately makes our children stuff and ignore those feelings vs. feeling it all the way through to completion. Feeling it to heal it. When we regularly interrupt this process behavioral issues can arise. When we don't allow these feelings to be released they start to come out more frequently in spirts here and there over trival stuff. Children NEED these big releases. You can’t control when the clarity will come. But you CAN control the conditions you create for which it can come. Today, I planned a free energy healing for the collective and several people registered for it. I was so excited, vibing high, cleared the space, lit candles and sat, prepared for the profound energy work I was about to do for others. What happened next what even more profound and it was all for me. No one showed up. Except one beautiful soul, who is so dedicated to her mission and so truly embodied in her work - she has become an exceptional healer and mentor for MY personal journey. What was supposed to be a 20 minute session that I was providing for others turned into an hour and a half of HIGH-LEVEL conversation and potent activations that I was guided to receive. The feast and famine cycle with my money was all just an act to protect my ego 🤯 It all started to become easy in my little corner of the universe, the wild ride of entrepreneurship was paying off… 🌴I was getting paid for simply being myself and sharing stories and lessons I had learned 🌴Money was coming out of the woodwork in big ways 🌴I was traveling so much and deeply invested in high level mentorship I had finally created a life I’d always desired.🥂💄💋 Deep down, I was so afraid that the work it took me to get to that level wouldn’t be “seen” if my life looked *this* good… I was so afraid people would think I was lazy, that things just got handed to me, that I just got “lucky”…. I was so afraid that it was all just a fluke + things didn’t actually get to be this good… I’d wake up any moment to it all being GONE. So it was too scary for me to flaunt it and celebrate what I created. Your toddler doesn’t need an iPad. 📱 Hate to be that guy (actually I don’t), but did you know early screen exposure has been associated with lower cognitive abilities, language development and academic performance… shit, is it really worth it? And no, iPad’s aren’t needed for educational content. Sorry to burst that bubble. Not to mention the problems with social-emotional development and significant behaviours too…especially around the transition away from the iPad. Might be an unpopular opinion but I believe kids need to be outside kicking around, making friends and getting creative with their imagination. iPads are a barrier to this. ❌ And don’t get me started on the fact that they’re used as a babysitter to keep kids quiet… mind boggling. 🤪 Now, I’m all for the TV in small doses e.g. following current recommendations of no more than 1 hour for 2 - 5 year olds. The thing about the TV 📺 is that it’s not easily controlled by your child. It’s a remote sitting on a table rather than a device that you’re taking from your child’s hands (helloooooo meltdown town). ✨️ 4/4 ✨️ Here's a story for you: About 18 months ago, I was having a brainstorming/creative day with @irobincredible and as I opened my mouth to share something I was day dreaming about, I almost said, "This might sound crazy but......" And instead, I paused that thought before it left my lips and said to her, "Listen, from here on out, I am going to stop prefacing my big ideas with caveats about potentially sounding crazy and I'm just going to start saying the thing. No more self-imposed limitations." Guess what started happening? ✨️ Magic ✨️ The big, seemingly "crazy" things that I wanted started flowing towards me and because I had already moved that barrier, I received them. Not without their fair share of obstacles. It hasn't been easy. But i watched my life begin to change when my words began to dramatically change... Abundance began to flow. I began to experience joy in new ways. The magic of the universe began to reveal itself to me when I stopped calling it crazy and began receiving it as love. I won't stop now... I've got big ol dreams and plans. But all of them revolve around truth, love, peace, ease, creativity, community, and abundance. I'm here for the ride at this point..... trying my best not to fight against the tides, knowing that they inevitably come I don't always know what life has for me 5 steps from now but as I learned from @glennondoyle a few years ago - my inner knowing will always know what comes next. And sometimes "next" is all I need to keep the path lit. They receive and amplify the conditioning from the world around us, and can be sources of great distortion when we use our mind to make decisions.
