I don't usually post at this time, but it's the first chance I've gotten today! Recovering after a two day event is always difficult for me. The thing that people don't think about (me included) is the preparation and packing before the event, packing up the car, unloading the car, setting up at the event, spending all day at the event x2, breaking down after the event and loading the car again, only to have to UNLOAD after you get home. Whew. So today was a bit of a recovery day and catching up on all the emails that I didn't answer over the weekend. This photo was my new t-shirt display, made by my amazing dad. The #1 selling product this weekend was the blue tee in the middle. Everyone who walked in my booth had to touch that one and hold it up. And everyone said the same thing, "It's so soft!". There are two locations now, but I visited the original, on Milwaukee’s Lower East Side. I love this place! It’s sort of buried within the neighborhood, very cute, well designed inside & out. I picked something off of their seasonal menu. It was a hard choice! Barista said they could make pretty much any drink vegan, and so many sounded amazing. The carrot cake latte tasted like spice & brown sugar with a hint of cream cheese frosting, def reminiscent of carrot cake I’d say. I checked online before coming, and looks like both Interval locations have a couple vegan food options on the menu, although I didn’t order any on this particular trip. Interval is one of my top favorite Milwaukee coffee shops because the drinks are always the “extra mile”. When you come over the bridge from Minnesota to God’s Country, you come up the hill and curve to the north. Nestled in the hill is this beautiful barn in Houlton, WI. Delilah says "Peek a Boo" When photographing wildlife, I never bait a subject or even prepare for that so called 'perfect shot'. With this particular barred owl, whom @angieven42 and I have been following for years, it's about spending time with this beauty. Watching......learning...observing and photographing. But NEVER....EVER.....harassing her or getting too close. She's just doing her thing, trying to survive and raise her owlets. Now it's been a couple of years since we've seen her and are we 100% sure it's her? No......but She's back in the same nesting tree She's always used and I believe it's her. If you come across these magnificent birds.....or any other wildlife, please do not bother, get close or harass them.
