Spetterà all'infermiera Quinn Harris cercare di sopravvivere alla sua data di morte ingannando l'app... • Il film sfrutta ciò che va più di moda oggi: lo smartphone e l'utilizzo di nuove app. Peccato che il film risulti noioso e con poco brio, strizzando l'occhio per alcune tematiche (ad es. l'impossibilità di scappare alla morte) alla saga di "Final Destination". Der Film hat eine eigene Art und interessante Grundidee. Man hat auf jeden Fall den Geist der Zeit getroffen. Die Story ist spannend und bietet selten langweilige Momente. Starker Beginn und auch die weitere Handlung ist ereignisreich, doch leider ist das Finale vorhersehbar und sehr hektisch. Die Effekte können sich sehen lassen. Es sind reichlich Jumpscares vorhanden. Die Auswahl der Charaktere ist passend, aber der Tiefsinn fehlt oft. Elisabeth Lail macht als Hauptdarstellerin einen sympathischen Eindruck. Die anderen Schauspieler leisten ebenfalls gute Arbeit. Wie erwähnt ist die Idee großartig, doch leider ist die Umsetzung enttäuschend. Ein klassischer Mainstream-Horrorfilm für zwischendurch. Woman downloads app, app tells her when she will die, we spend time watching woman try to beat app, etc etc. The acting was actually pretty good, even though the plot was predictable. The ending leaves room for more, which I don't really always like in these sorts of films because let's be honest, if there's a sequel it's gonna be exactly the same. « COUNTDOWN » de Justin DEC avec Elizabeth Lail et Jordan Calloway (2019) Le postulat initial était vraiment original pour ce film d'horreur même si le début fait penser à une version moderne de "Destination Finale" avec la mort qui vient frapper.. Puis, il faut reconnaître que le dénouement de l'histoire est très classique avec les personnages qui cherchent les origines du mal pour pouvoir l'éliminer et rester en vie. On peut y voir aussi une critique des réseaux sociaux et des nouvelles technologies, et #MeToo est également évoqué ! Toutes les ficelles du scénario sont clairement cousu de fil blanc, on comprend tout très vite de A à Z mais malgré tout je n'ai pas décroché.. L’idée de départ était plutôt alléchante mais hélas cela ne suffit pas de sauver malgré de bonnes intentions et de moments. Oui, le film est efficace, il se regarde sans problème et ça fonctionne. Malheureusement, cela reste très académique dans le sens où tous les codes du genre sont là et sont respectés, il y a donc peu d'originalité. et beaucoup de vu et de revu. Έτσι, μια νεαρή νοσοκόμα που κατεβάζει για πλάκα την εφαρμογή αλλά μαθαίνει πως έχει μόνο δυο ημέρες ζωής, προσπαθεί να βρει έναν τρόπο να ξεφύγει από τη μοίρα της, χωρίς όμως να παραβεί τους όρους χρήσης. Αν μη τι άλλο, είναι ενδιαφέρον το concept και καλογυρισμένα όλα τα jump scares που στην περίπτωσή μας είναι και λειτουργικά. Εν γένει η ροή του σεναρίου είναι φροντισμένη, όμως δεν μπορείς να μην εντοπίσεις πως πάσχει στις λεπτομέρειες. Αυτό που μένει να συζητηθεί -αλλά μόνο σε επίπεδο θεωρίας, αφού κανείς μας δεν ήταν παρών στο στάδιο της προετοιμασίας- είναι ο λόγος που μια τέτοια έξυπνη και "παρθένα" ιδέα δεν δουλεύτηκε παραπάνω στα σημεία αλλά αφέθηκε απλά να εξελιχθεί σε ένα ακόμα φιλμ τρόμου σαν όλα τα άλλα. Με άλλα λόγια, είτε η εφαρμογή που υπολογίζει την ημερομηνία και την ώρα του θανάτου σου ήταν η κεντρική ιδέα της ταινίας, είτε μανιακός δολοφόνος, είτε δαίμονας, το φιλμ εξελίσσεται με τον ίδιο ακριβώς τρόπο και με τα ίδια ακριβώς συστατικά: δηλαδή, τυχαίοι θάνατοι, κυνηγητά, χιούμορ, γραφικοί χαρακτήρες και απανωτές τρομάρες. Οφείλεις βέβαια να αναγνωρίσεις στην ταινία ότι αυτά τα κλασικά συστατικά τα χειρίζεται σωστά και αξιοπρεπώς, οπότε και τρομάζεις και τινάζεσαι και περιμένεις να δεις τι θα γίνει στο φινάλε, το οποίο να σημειωθεί πως ουδόλως απογοητεύει. Το μοναδικό "κρίμα" σε όλο αυτό έχει να κάνει με την πολλά υποσχόμενη ιδέα που δεν εξελίσσεται σε κάτι φρέσκο και μοναδικό. Κατά τα άλλα, μια χαρά.

Countdown Horror/Thriller USA 2019 90 Minuten/ FSK 16 Regie: Justin Dec Drehbuch: Justin Dec Musik: Saunder Jurriaans Besetzung: Elisabeth Leil, Jordan Calloway, Anne Winters, P.J.Byrne, Peter Facinelli, Talitha Bateman Handlung: Eine neue App zeigt einem angeblich seinen genauen Todestag an. Die junge Krankenschwester Quinn Harris installieret sich die App ohne Hintergedanken und die genauen Bestimmungen durchzulesen. Die App zeigt ihr an das sie nur noch 3 Tage zu leben hat. Als sie mitbekommt das immer mehr Nutzer der App von einer unheimlichen Gestalt verfolgt werden und kurz darauf sterben, versucht sie hinter das Geheimnis der rätselhaften App zu kommen und tut sich dafür mit Matt zusammen, dessen Telefon ebenfalls seinen baldigen Tag voraussagt. Kritik: Auch wenn die Idee mit einer App gar nicht mal so schlecht ist, hat der Film leider nicht's neues und aufregendes zu bieten. Die meisten Figuren in dem klar auf ein Teenie-Publikum zugeschnittenen Horror-Thriller beißen planmäßig ins Gras und auch sonst ist der film sehr vorhersehbar. Der Film bedient sich an Filmen wie Final Destination oder The Ring wo es ähnliche Ansätze gab.
