I’ll be honest; I am excited for the weekend. This week has been a lot. Lots of growth. Lots of emotions. Lots of getting real. Swimming and biking 🚴🏻♀️ every day is amazing and tiring. I think I’ve reached that sobering parenting milestone when you realize they have way more energy stamina and speed than you do 😂 Feeling the many blessings of these wild and healing children. My own healing impacts their lives in 🏔 massive ways. Being a parent committed to a healing journey is not a straight and easy path. What I notice as I continue to grow and move through patterns of codependency is that my own trust increases. When I open to loving myself even more, I have so much more love for them. When I set boundaries, I am so much calmer, clearer and level-headed. When I care for my nervous system, I can listen to their problems objectively. These are big moves. As big as learning to ride a bike, learning to read, play soccer, multiply or tie your shoes. Inner healing work was not taught to us as kids. In my family, I am changing that. My kids know: 🌙 How to connect with their spirit helpers ♾ How to call their power back home 🌙 What is wu-ji stance and why it helps you feel better ♾ That hands 🙌🏻 placed on a boo-boo with loving intention, heal 🌙 That their mom is a good witch ♾ That different foods make you feel different ways 🌙 Crystals are healing ♾ Salt is cleansing 🌙 Fairies are real. When your baby is born those cells have hardened and will have taken shape as a tooth just under the gums, they will become the sharp pearly whites on a day in the not too distant future. FUN FACT…1% of babies are born with a tooth! Teething gets blamed for a lot of sleep issues and yes, sleep is always going to be disrupted when your little one is teething. However these teething moments come in waves and generally should only cause disruption for about 3-5 days/nights. If your are experiencing disrupted sleep for longer it is very possible there is something else going on. >>WHO AM I?<< I’m known to be a little bit of a weirdo. Well my gals tell me this anyway! The more life I live, I realise that maybe, just maybe I’m not like most people. I love having an active life. I walk just about everywhere. The more steps I fit into a day the better life is! I love fun! I get bored fairly quickly which keeps me and my family on our toes. My amazing hubby has had to deal with kitchen changes a little too many times. I am a passionate person about pretty much any and every subject. I’m a researcher, lover of knowledge, lover of critical thinking and need to know the facts. I’m not swayed easily, this has been my curse and blessing all in one. I at one time had a very successful career (as I longingly look into the distance) but my ultimate dream was to have kids so I decided to leave it all to become a wife and mum. I have been married now for 12years and have 3 children. My eldest is my husbands biological daughter, she's 20yrs old (now that’s a journey) and then we have two together. My 11 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I love my kids and love who they are but parenting was much harder than I ever expected. I naively thought it would all come naturally (just like breast feeding) and after working 50 - 60 hours a week how hard could parenting be? I have had to work things out for myself, that’s where Rach steps in and with her I have managed to keep it together (not all the time), and actually find a joy in and amongst the chaos. I see Rach as ballast to my ship, she has always been able to balance me out when I can’t see things straight. She’s a straight shooter and I LOVE it. 1 Step Forward One Day, 10,000 Steps Back the Next... . Potty Training... As soon as we get confident in our schedule, the milestones, going in public bathrooms for the first time, having zero accidents in a day, telling me she needs to go instead of me asking, today it feels like we are starting over yet again after MONTHS of hard work. . So far today, she has had several accidents in her underwear. She tells me she needs to go today as usual then she sits and stands like what she did in the beginning. As soon as we get off the potty, she goes immediately on the rug in our living room. . Very discouraging. Extremely frustrating. It feels like all of the hard work we BOTH put in the past SEVERAL MONTHS has completely been thrown out the window. I was finally getting confident in our trust throughout this journey. She understands it. She knows what to do. Nothing is different in our schedule today. I suppose this is one of the many examples of a child going against the grain of what has been taught. . Twenty minutes into waiting to meet Santa Claus, I knew I was more excited than Mili 🙈 The fact that this would be her first time EVER meeting Santa Claus, I couldn’t wait for them to get clicked together! 🤗 Though we hadn’t planned it, we did end up joining this queue. Well, here’s what happened next. The moment it was our turn finally, Mili decided to NOT get out of this car 😂🚘. We tried. We tried again. She said NO. Santa walked up to us, stood behind her and said, “let’s take the picture here.” And this is THAT picture. Yes we couldn’t get an official picture with Santa, the one we had plans to pay for! 😀 Instead, my instinct told me it was going to be historic, so documentation was a necessity. We got a “free” photograph but at what cost? 🤷🏻♀️😛 This is the only proof of Mili meeting Santa for the first time ever in 2019. Thanks Mili. Namun ternyata, kekesalan dan emosi itu hanya buah dari ketidaktahuan! Tidak tahu apa sih sebenarnya hakikat anak-anak kita? Tidak tahu mengapa sih mereka tantrum? Kenapa sih setiap diberi perintah tidak dituruti? Kenapa sih ga mau makan? Aku kembali teringat workshop yang aku dan suami ikuti beberapa bulan lalu, mba @ellenkristi_ mengatakan bahwa segala sesuatu di dunia ini ada ilmunya. Morning, happy soulful Sunday to you all. We had 2 of our nieces stay last night & they were up with the larks this morning. 😴 it’s going to be a long day! Our girls received their end of year report cards & they were amazing. The comments their teachers wrote about their kindness, caring attitude & support they give their classmates was wonderful. As parents we put our feet down at times & when we say no it’s hard to stick to it but totally the right thing to do. We had a strict no device rule yesterday until we had finished our jobs. The girls weren’t impressed but if I’d given in then I wouldn’t be teaching them how important all the other stuff is. Yes there are times where we do give in but the majority of the time we stick with it. It’s a wonderful compliment to your kids when others recognise the beautiful qualities they have. We all think 💭 our own kids are the best & they are. Love them dearly, show them kindness, wish them happiness, give them confidence, encourage them to be open & honest about their feelings & be adventurous with them. Show them the world 🌍 is an amazing place. Give your special wee people an extra big hug 🤗 this morning, take a second out to appreciate that they’re still kids & the world 🌍 probably doesn’t make much sense to them at times. This is what my workout looked like today. 🤨. Both of my kiddos had dentist appointments that went way longer than was planned (it took 30 minutes just to get them in the back). By the time I dropped both of them off at their summer camps, it was time to pick up my littlest from her camp. I'll fit some activity in somewhere today but for now, I am going to embrace the fluidity that motherhood has brought to my life. 💓 My Mom and Me 💓 I didn’t always appreciate her, especially in my teenage years..... But isn’t it lovely how you grow up and have kids of your own and then realize just how amazing they are?!! My mom is amazing. She is so selfless and I have to say the best Nana ever. 🙋🏼♀️ That mom guilt though right! 🙋🏼♀️ It took me a while to fully understand how much us moms (and anyone really) need to have our cup filled. I love my kids and love spending time with them. They are my hugest joy but they can also be my biggest pain point too. Yes, it’s ok to admit that. One minute we are snuggling up the next minute the two are at each other’s throats. I have found that if my cup is full and I am running at 💯 % then I have much more patience and the ability to parent them calmly. This means that regularly I take time for myself. What that looks like will be different for each person. For me, it’s a dinner or wine date with my husband or a girlfriend. Or maybe it’s a solo trip to Target (cause what woman doesn’t love that! 😂) Maybe it’s going for a walk. Whatever it is I encourage you to do it regularly. Once a week if you can. You will find that if you are fulfilled personally it helps you in all areas in your life. To be a better parent, sister, wife, friend, teammate, etc. 🌸 So let that mom guilt go! 🌸 And give yourself the freedom to take care of you!

I was SO excited for Jaxon to try Jujitsu especially since my best friend and his Uncle @1leggreg is a children’s jujitsu coach, well Jaxon refused to do anything for the first 50 min! He clung to me and got emotionally and just wanted to “punch those things” hanging bags they have in the gym. At the end Jaxon decided to “play the game” of jumping from the belt to the mat. He laughed and enjoyed himself for the last 10 minutes. The first 50 I felt terrible, I wondered why my child didn’t like to participate with others and why he got so emotional, all the while my youngest is screaming that he will do it, he’s big enough, he wanted to play “WiF coach Greg”. In her eyes I hear her thoughts! I was about to continue, waxing poetic when my 14yo who is watching me over my shoulder says. .... "How do you hear thoughts in her eyes?" "It's poetic!" Today I'm happy to report I broke 3k words today! I have so many things I've left undone, and with only one more week left in #nanowrimo18 , I imagine they'll sit undone for 7 more days. Often we label chores, family, and friends as reasons we cannot pursue or dreams, but these should be labeled procrastination. You can have kids and dreams!
