Everyone hears about the story of the caterpillar turning into a butterfly but very few stop to think of the actual process between the 2 animals we see 🤩 It’s more complex than just simply growing wings... You see the caterpillar performs metamorphosis to become a butterfly... It cocoons itself away and becomes a chrysalis... it digests itself using enzymes triggered by hormones. Then, sleeping cells (similar to stem cells) grow into the body parts of the future butterfly. Then when it is ready it breaks out of the cocoon as a beautiful butterfly! You see guys the journey is harder at times than it is made out to be, to become that beautiful person you know you truly are deep down inside, you have to reach deep inside yourself, allow yourself to break down and emerge again as the stunning butterfly self 🙏🏻💓 #payattentiontothelittlethings

This morning I went to get my nails done. Here is how it went: Me: good morning. Can I get my nails done? Gel, please. L: Sure. Me: but this is not gel. L: yes, it is. It's powder gel. Me: oh, I wanted solar gel. Well, that's ok, I guess (they didn't have that option). Please cut my nails shorter. I can't do anything with these long nails. L(with very long nails): like me, if I cut my nails short, I can't do anything. Me: I think I said the opposite. 😵💫 L: yes, the same. What colour do you want? Me: chocolate, dark brown. I don't want purple. L: (comes back with purplish nail polishes) Me: oh, this looks purple. L: no, it's not. Me: do you have any dark brown nail polish? L: this one is (purple) Me: (feeling very frustrated) ok. Can you please leave the shape square but round on the edges. L: yes, sure. In summary, left with purple powder gel nails with sharp edges that could be a weapon. It could have been a pleasant experience, but it was not. That happens when we don't communicate clearly what we want, assume the person knows what we want, and settle for something else that is not exactly what we want and don't speak up. I let frustration take the best of me and totally gave up on what I wanted. Time to step up my game. Now doing an inventory on where else this behaviour is showing up in my life. ➡️ Y’all. I have been feeling SO MUCH better about myself lately! SO 👏🏼 MUCH 👏🏼 BETTER 👏🏼 And it all started exactly NINE months ago today!! As most of you know, I decided to change my lifestyle, loose weight, & start eating better. Basically, just start taking better care of myself in general. And boy oh boy, when you have 3 kiddos and a house full of responsibilities, you wouldn’t BELIEVE what taking 10 minutes to yourself once a day will do for your mind AND your body. Most of the time, (or just about all the time honestly), I use my time to talk to God. I pray to Him and thank Him for everything He has done for me leading up to this point on my journey, because I know without Him, none of it would be possible. He has lead me every single step of the way. And He continues to lead me in each day to come. I am so GRATEFUL the Holy Spirit continues to catch my attention and pull me into God’s Word. As my Daddy once told me, if you just PAY ATTENTION, the Holy Spirit is there, and God wants nothing more than for us to follow Him, LOVE, and be Happy!!
