Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone!!! ✨ Ryan and I joke that 2019 was the year that we “existed.” While our friends got engaged, married, had babies, built and bought houses, we...well we went to Disney. But 2019 was so much more than that. I ran my first half marathon. We finished our 2019 Disney bucket list. We spent many days at our favorite lounge. We traveled to another planet and adopted a baby droid. And most importantly, we made new friends and got closer to old ones. I gave myself a bit of a break for March as a reward for training so hard and pushing through to accomplish a huge goal I set for myself. I still worked out this whole month but I ate regularly again. It's really true that exercise is only 30% and the rest is diet because despite working out daily, I definitely felt the difference every time I indulged. I also had more stomach pains and bloating than normal, eating "bad" again. I've been feeling more tired than usual lately too. I'm ready to hop back on to clean eating in time to look good and feel good in 5 weeks for my next adventure. Well guys it’s #MedalMonday and I never shared my story or pictures from my first #RunDisney experience! I promise I will share all the pictures from my experience, one day. — two weeks and a few days ago, I participated in my first #DisneyPrincessHalfMarathonWeekend. Friday was the 5k, Saturday was the 10k, and Sunday was the half marathon, yes back to back, yes I did all three. No I didn’t run all of them in full. I will be completely honest. I walked/ran the 5k and 10K, I walked MOST of the #princesshalf. There were times I wanted to give up, it was HOT, it was HUMID, I was TIRED. Getting up at 2am to be on the bus by 3am to get to the race, and to let you know, I’m not a morning person. But the whole time during the race all I could think about were the children I was running for at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. #RunForTheKids I ran for the ones who can’t, I didn’t give up because they don’t, I fought it because they fight for their lives every day. 22.4 miles(all races together) is nothing to what they have to go through day by day. I want to say THANK YOU again to everyone who donated to #CMNH, yes you may have help me entered in the races, but most importantly you donated money to the KIDS! I promise, they thank you too. There are many other moments I will share during my experience, along with the pictures I post. But for now, yes I got the medals, I felt guilty for posting getting these, because that’s not what it was about. Yes, when I signed up, I wanted nothing more than to get the princess medals, but after completing the race, I realized it wasn’t about the medals. — one day, I will have a blog about my experience.
