These Ohio allergies and sinuses have taken me down hard today!! I woke up with sandpaper in my throat!! It hurts to breathe or talk! Sudafed and hot tea have been my best friends today. It’s rare that I’m sick enough to not feel like working, but when I am, I’m so glad that that many years ago I wasn’t afraid to make the boss moves and I don’t have to sacrifice my health for a paycheck or to get someone’s approval. Years ago when I decided to leave the corporate side of the real estate industry it was because I had to call in one day when Lainey, my oldest daughter, was sick. I got so much grief from my boss, who was a fellow working mother, that I decided I was done working for someone else. I told her right then that I would never put my family second to any job, so she would be getting my resignation in about 5 mins. I took the leap and never looked back. It wasn’t always easy, but it has been so worth it. My PSA for the day….Remember, you are never stuck! You can make boss moves too and create the life you want! Now along with running my own real estate team I get to coach other working moms who are building their own businesses so they never have to put their families or themselves second. It feels like a full circle kind of day. P.S. So I get the flu shot for a reason, every year like clock work and have never gotten the flu. 2017 decided different. This shit came on so suddenly. I've been on and off sick since last Friday, mostly coughing, low grade fever and body aches, just not feeling 100% but certainly trying to. Well damn if I finally get into to see my Dr yesterday, they swabbed me for the flu and well got the call this am, I have the damn flu. Oh and its a "different strain". So on top of an acute upper respiratory infection and bronchitis I have the damn flu!!! WTF and where in the hell did this come from??? So here goes, 5 days of Tamiflu and no exposure to anyone, ahhhh! And hubby has to be on a stronger version of Tamiflu for 10 days to prevent him from getting it.
