FOOD IS FUEL. 🍉 Following from my post over the weekend about my body building experience. A couple of years later I gave Triathlons a go! What a fun year that was. 🏊🏻‍♀️🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️ I was confident on the bike as I was teaching multiple RPM classes each week. I was playing netball at that stage too so running was going to come easily to me but swimming was definitely a struggle (I was great as a kid but then puberty hit) 😅 very glad it’s the first leg so I could make up ground after. I was also eating so much food to support my training! Whatever goal you are working towards your nutrition requirements need to match your training. When you are able to change the way you perceive food - using it as fuel for your body it really does lighten your mind to thinking you will put on weight if you need to eat a lot (something I hear a lot). It becomes critical to make sure you select the right sources of food which in turn will allow you to achieve your intended goal. I have helped athletes from a wide range of sporting to improve their performance, just by ensuring what they are putting in their body is in line with their goals. 😊 Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated! You need to be able to sift through all the information to find what’s relevant to you & your body.
