After the last kids movie I watched I needed to watch one that I know is decent. I grew up watching #TheLionKing, and I know all the words! This crowd pleasing cartoon musical from #WaltDisney had enormous box office appeal, and proved so popular that it was adopted as a stage show. For the children there's the story of how a lion cub, exiled by his wicked uncle, achieves his destiny. For grown-ups there's a visual feast of exciting animation work and some good @eltonjohn songs. #JeremyIrons is the stand out as the evil uncle #Scar. Oh and he has the best song! 🎶 Be prepaaaared 🎶 4 stars

The Lion King 5/5 As a cub, Simba is forced to leave the Pride Lands after his father Mufasa is murdered by his wicked uncle, Scar. Years later, he returns as a young lion to reclaim his throne. This is an incredible animated film that is as astounding today as it was upon its original release. Story wise it losesly adapts a number of Shakespeare plays and whilst this is reflected in the incredibly well written characters the story has a whimsical tone that results in a perfect family film. The animation is nothing short of astounding, the vibrant colours and wonderful cinematography create this aesthetic magic. Another thing this film does incredibly well is give us unique and distinct characters, they all have personality and an individuality that makes them interesting. Simba is a brilliantly compelling character with obvious flaws that enable character development that help make the film as impactful as it is. Scar is a fantastic antagonist with an interesting movitation and relationship to Simba that makes thier interactions all the more intriguing. Like all the renaissance films the music is incredible both catchy, fun and poignant, all of them are tonally perfect accentuating the mood of the scenes they accompany. Like the music the narrative does a brilliant job of balancing poignant and hilarious and the way it balances both seemlessly is the reason it is still synonymous with amazing animated films. Ah remakes, love or hate them they're certainly here to stay for a while so I figured it's time to just enjoy them and avoid this crazy hype bandwagon they seem to pick up. Admittedly the original Lion King was never a favourite in the Disney world, a great film for sure but I never got the appeal most people my age group seem to have. In a way I feel this makes me enjoy the 2019 remake a lot more. Stunning visuals displayed here, seriously this film is gorgeous to look at. A lot of hate was how this was a boring shot for shot version of the original and with that said, how can that possibly be a bad thing if you like the original? This gorgeous adaptation with a stellar voice cast all a round. I can only agree that yes with more realistic animals it's harder to display emotions within them but I didn't find this took me away to strongly from enjoying the film at all. Music of course is brilliant here again was surprised the film only contained one original song during the film (minus the credits) as I thought we may have got a few new additions but again i'm not mad at this and I'm glad Disney didn't throw songs in for the sake of having them in there. Did Spirit add anything new to the film? Not particularly but it was a cute scene and of course it was inevitable we'd get a showcase from Beyoncé being attached to the film. Overall I found this remake to be enjoyable and gorgeous to look at, of course was it needed is the strong question and my response is no one is forcing you to watch these remakes. The Lion King (1994) First of I would like to say that the majority of my viewers are nit following me. I would love it if you could chuck me a follow @georges.movie.tv.reviews Cheers! Now to the review. (Spoiler Warning) The animation of this film was remarkable for its time. The story was well thought about and linked in very consistently. The prospect of a mean uncle who wants it all was actually better than I thought. Music in this film was amazing! Elton John did amazing for both the songs and score of the film. The songs are so catchy that I find myself singing along whenever I can and the fact that such a big name in the music industry was behind this film made it all the better. As a character, Simba makes me feel as though he is a man child or a big kid. At the begining he is a cheeky kid taking risks and being cocky. But by the end, with the help of Pumba and Timone - My favourite duo of Disney, he evolves into a much better, more respective and compassionate lion. Scar definitely gets his comeuppance at the end because the fact that he is a two sided hypocrite made the hyenas turn against him and that ment that simba didnt have to kill him. The Lion King 4K (2019)(Live Action) Video: The Basics At first I was really impressed by the picture quality; and I thought it looked higher than a 2KDI, but then a few long shots ruined that for me. The long shots looked soft and 2K with halo-ing; this is typical 2K issues; and for a movie this big I'm not that impressed. I saw some noise in the dark areas of some background shots; this leads me to believe that the bit-rate is not high enough on this disc; I don't know why we're still having to deal with film companies not using enough bit-rate for their movies. I think this movie looks great a lot of the time; but it's the small details that may go unnoticed is what I pick up on and want improved. For me, I expected more from Disney; considering that Toy Story 4 was so good. It looks as though Disney are back to their old ways. By the way, the movie is absolutely incredible; and this is Disney's best "Live Action" upgrade they have done. Also, I think that The Lion King is the best story Disney have ever made. I really enjoyed this. VIDEO SCORE = 4 out of 5 THE BASICS: GOOD BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH The Lion King 4K (2019)(Live Action) Audio: The Basics The Lion King 4K comes with Dolby Atmos sound which is standard now for new movies. The audio is around 6db to 8db lower than my reference level; and because it's a Disney disc I preemptively increased the volume by that amount. The sound is very good; but I feel as though it's holding back all the time, this is typical for Disney discs and just something we all have to deal with. The dialogue is loud and very clear. The music is excellent; and I was very impressed, the only song that wasn't as good was the Elton John cover by Beyonce in my opinion. Surround and Atmos use was excellent throughout the movie; and has a great level of quality. It's a good sounding disc for Disney. 🦁 Before I begin, I grew up with all of these Disney classics and this by far, is my ultimate favorite live action remake 🦁 Everything from beginning to end, the details, the songs and scenery, is absolutely amazing and omg, the CGI was incredible! 🦁 I had goosebumps during the songs because they were performed exactly like the originals! My mom and I couldn't help but song along! The Lion King (2019) Imdb rating: 7.1 Personal rating: 7.5 A feel-good movie, much like the original. The animation is good, the singing is great, and Seth Rogen as Pumba is simply perfection. The movie definitely carries a strong moral, as is the Disney way. There is a moment or two (if you've watched the original, you know) that demands a few tears from the audience, but aside from that, it's mostly smiles all the way through. Be warned, the nostalgia is real. 🌳 it’s the circle, the circle of life 🌳 Animal Kingdom used to be one of my least favourite parks, but now with Pandora and the amazing Pandora ride (might be one of the best rides in the world????) it’s jumped up there 👌🏽 but I’ve always loved looking at the Tree. 🌳 the more you look at it, the more animals engraved into it you can see 🥰 we went to see The Lion King finally the other day and I must say I did enjoy it 🙈 loved the little beauty and the beast Easter egg too! The visuals are amazing (but it took me a while to get used to seeing the lions mouth say the words 😬!). 🦁 The MABS charity shop are closed a couple of days a week for summer so we’ll try again today to drop off some donations 💼 it’s also Rio’s TWO YEAR gotcha day!!! Two years of Rio! What a delight 💖 it’s already 32 degrees and supposed to hit 35 today and tomorrow 🥵 so make sure you wear plenty of sun cream. 🧴 I switch between @hawaiiant_uk mist, @clarinsuk sun care cream and @biodermauk photoderm- they’re all really good but Clarins (from @worlddutyfreeuk) is my favourite as an all rounder! The Lion King. 2019 (Cinema) THE KING OF DISNEY'S ANIMATION IS BROUGHT TO LIFE I'm willing to bet most people, especially those who were kids in the 90's, would say 'The Lion King' is their favourite animated Disney movie. With the likes of Aladdin and Dumbo getting the live-action remake version, The Lion King was always going to happen. I'm sure we all know the story and nothing has changed here regarding the plot. First of all, the film looks fascinating! After watching this I have realised that there is nothing the movie studios can't do in terms of visual quality. We have a film full of likeable characters here too just like the animated version along with incredible voice work. Seth Rogen being the standout as Pumbaa just fitted perfectly. There are a few funny moments lashed in too as you'd expect and I didn’t find myself bored at all for the whole runtime but this movie has two glaring problems for me that take away a bit of the shine. The first is even though the film looks amazing, its the animation of the characters faces. This wasn't a problem for most of the Disney live-action movies, however this has the same problem as 'The Jungle Book' did. The animals look TOO real which creates a problem that the animated version didn’t have as they are expressionless most of the time. It's a hard medium to find and this movie just didn’t quite grasp it. The second issue I have was that even though I really liked this movie, if I want to watch 'The Lion King' again I am almost certainly going back to the animated version. It just has more charm and likeability and for most people, that will be the same because of a little thing called nostalgia. It's also a shot for shot remake so it doesn't bring anything new to make me want to go to this one. This is still a very good time though and worth watching for the visuals alone. Fun Fact: Director Jon Favreau also directed The Jungle Book (2016) Best Moment: The Stampede with the infamous character death scene. Best Quote: Pumbaa 'I always thought those things in the sky were balls of gas billions of light years away' Score: 8/10

@lionking review by your one and only @babythakker 💁🏻♀️ ROAR!🦁🐾 Did that sound like a king’s roar? Well, maybe someday. But I am sure that sounded like a little simba roar for now. Well, so this Monday me watched #TheLionKing with my Mufasa and Sarabi. Oops I mean Ma and Pa🙈🤣 and god that was one movie to watch. I mean I had always heard about this from Ma, Pa, Ki and Ka but since I am not from their era, I didn’t know the whole story but yet was excited to see Simba. Such a cute cuddly woodly lion baby he was in the first half and I almost planned to adopt him just like Timon and Pumba wanted to but then Ma told me he can eat me up so I dropped the plan. I almost cried when Mufasa died😭😢 Or maybe that was just because of the roars of BIG Lions😱 But before I could cry louder I saw a chubby Pumba running towards with tiny Timon on his back and I was like hahaha they be so funny🤣🤣🙈🙈 oops I hope Pumba won’t get mad at me for calling him chubby. I know you don’t like bullies but me is cute and chubby too so peace out Pumba. Well, the movie continued with some jokes and then some aww moment when Nala and Simba met again and the condition of Timon and Pumba was pretty much relatable to me as even I get jealous when Pa and Ma hug or Ki and Ka too for that matter🙈🤣 And then the movie got even more interesting as Simba went back to fight with the scary Scar and become the king of the pride rock. Me was literally dancing when he did dishum dhishum to the bad Lion and hungry Hyenas. Team lion for the win🙌🏻😘🦁 Well, the cutest part however, was the ending when they introduced the baby of Simba and Nala the same way Simba was introduced. I was like Awwww soooo cuuuteee🤗😘🤗😘 Well, this was the best movie I’ve ever watched. I haven’t watched too many but still. Totally worth my time. Especially with the voice of @iamsrk and @___aryan___ I’d go with 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.S. I just realized Simba looks a lot like me. THE LION KING (2019) The 2019 iteration of the Disney classic from the 90s is just that, an iteration. Many of the set pieces and framing borrow directly from the originally. However unlike the remake of The Jungle Book, also directed by Jon Favreau, I found this to be a worthy remake. The original 2D animated Lion King still stands the test of time, while this technologically advanced 3D version provides just about enough to be worth your time. The detail and character of the 3D rendered characters are quite astounding and are on a par with the best CGI cinema has offered to date. The Music played a big role in the original and I'm happy to say this new version largely stayed faithful to the original, however one change to the iconic scene of Simba making his lives NG awaited return to the Pridelands had the Zimmer soundtrack replaced with Beyoncé's new single' Spirit'. While I wasn't entirely happy with some changes made, there were some hilarious moments that might just have eclipsed the original (especially Seth Rogen's Pumbaa). Some changes I felt were unnecessary but then again I don't think this film was released for me but instead for a new Childish Gambino and Beyoncé loving generation; a generation that didn't necessarily grow up rewatching The Lion King every week. Unlike other recent Disney remakes I didn't watch this wishing I could just be watching the original on the big screen; there was enough new here to appreciate however when I next need a fix of The Lion King I will undoubtedly be reverting to the original. Review for The Lion King (2019): Synopsis - You know Pros - The graphics in this movie are amazing, most of the animals look photo realistic and are very well done. The Musical score is fantastic as well as the voice work by all these actors. Seth Rogan as Bumba is really good, but the stand out was James Earl Jones as Mufasa again. The movie is also filled with heart and emotion. Cons - While this did not bother me, this movie is a straight up copy and paste of the original 1994 cartoon. There is nothing really new in here. Also, some of the big characters from the cartoon take a seat and are barely seen at all or until the end (example: Rafiki). Finally, the songs were good, but Scars “Be Prepared” song was short, half-assed and disappointing. Conclusion - If you wanted a “new, fresh take on the Lion King” your not going to get that here, if you DONT want to see the same movie redone, then this isn’t for you. However, I really loved this movie a lot and while it does play on your nostalgia, it works and will most likely hit you emotionally if you were a fan of the cartoon. Movie review - The Lion King . . Pivotal to the 2019 version of "The Lion King," was to make it as realistic as possible. The filmmakers certainly achieved that goal giving us a visually appealing movie, which if for nothing, must be acknowledged for how much animation has improved through the years. . . This photorealistic version stays true to most of the original film but with some welcome improvements. The Lion King (2019) provides more context which deepen certain characters such as Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Shenzi (Florence Kasumba). Despite these, this version is not as emotive as the original. . . . In The 1994 "Lion King," you are captivated from the opening sequence and get goosebumps when Rafiki embraced Mufasa before Simba was presented. Scar is a phenomenal villain, and the original film showed his range of emotions from disdain to sarcasm and a pretentious fondness for Simba, with brilliance. Jeremy Irons was extraordinary in his portrayal of Scar. And the performance of "Be Prepared," was a highpoint. The late Robert Guillaume was boisterous as Rafiki. In general the performances were lively but one cannot say same for the 2019 version. . . Nonetheless, Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon are the standout performances. Ejiofor did not perform "Be Prepared" as a song but did a theatrical Shakespearean-style monologue, and it also worked. With Beyonce joining the cast, it was only fitting that she did a song, so we got "Spirit." . . News of the remake did not please me but I was happy to learn that James Earl Jones would reprise his role as Musafa. However, his voice has aged and so he didn't command as much authority as in the the 1994 animation. As such, perhaps we need to let go and understand that with "The Circle of Life," comes change. So, for those who didn't see the 1994 version of The Lion King, the 2019 film is not bad. Yesterday I went to see the live action Lion King. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect, when I watched the trailers I can’t say I was overly excited about it. It wasn’t until a clip on Timon and Pumbaa was realised that I got excited about it. • Well, I absolutely LOVED it! It was just as funny, heart warming and brilliant as the original. I think Disney casted the characters so well, especially Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner they represented Timon and Pumbaa just how I imagined. When leaving the cinema there was a guy saying he knew it was “live action” but he couldn’t believe how they all looked so real, in my head I was thinking “duh” (insert Billie Eilish Bad Guy) When I thought about it, that’s the incredible thing about film. It has become so advanced over the last few years and they consider every single detail. The scenery throughout the film was beautiful and the animals? Well they looked real😂 All because of the talent evolved around special effects, cgi and all the other fancy aspects of film. I don’t think it’s appreciated enough. One character that stood out to be the most was Scar. My word did he look terrifying!!! Again, it was all down to incredible detailing. Overall, I laughed, I cried and I smiled. The Lion King | Dirs: Rob Minkoff & Roger Allers The Lion King is a film about young lion prince Simba’s life, exile and subsequent rise as king of the Pride Lands. Seeing as this movie was on at the time, The plot is easy to describe. Most people have seen or at least know about The Lion King. After watching this as a six-year-old, I can safely say that this movie holds up. But what do I like about it? Well, the characters seem real and believable. Scar is a great villian, Simba is a protaganist you can sympathise, and all the other characters do the jobs really well. Techincally, the film holds up. Suprisingly, the editing is pretty good, with some decent wipes and transitions in between scenes. The cinematography is really creative, especially in the opening sequence (but more on that later.) The score and music is exceptional, with songs most people who watched The Lion King as a kid can recall by heart. Can you Feel the Love Tonight is a bit short in my opinion, but memorable nonetheless. The 2D, hand-drawn animation style used still holds up today. What I like about it is that is vibrant, majestic and you can tell what the emotion of any scene is just by looking at a single shot. It also makes the characters look friendly and approachable.Now onto the opening sequence. I still get chills watching the sunrise rising over the African savannah and listening to the first bars of music kicking in. Circle of Life is the perfect fit thematically for this sequence and in my opinion, is one of the greatest opening sequcences ever put to cinema (do @ me on that one.) However, there are negatives, to. While Timon and Pumbaa are charismatic, I felt that they were a bit too in-your-face at times, even though Hakuna Matata is a joy to watch. I also feel certain characters are shunted to the side to make way for the dynamic duo, but this is just a nitpick. 🦁👑 My review on The Lion King 📝 please don’t read any further if you haven’t seen it yet and want to avoid any spoilers ☺️ • I have really mixed feelings about this one, I enjoyed the film as a whole but for me it just didn’t stand up against the original. The music is what made it worthwhile for me, the score is really the only thing that pulled it in to give you those original Lion King feels (that and the epic voice of James Earl Jones), however I was disappointed they cut the full song ‘Be Prepared’ and as much as I love the Lion Queen that is Beyoncé I feel like ‘Spirit’ would have been better placed as a song for the credits. It didn’t sit right where it was, especially when all other lyrical songs were sang by characters and that seemed to just be plopped in, replacing a piece of music from the original that I would favour, even over Yoncé 💁🏻♀️ Extending ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ was a stroke of genius and maybe my favourite part of the film but it was the only time I really enjoyed Timon and Pumbaa. • It’s not something I would go and see again in the cinema but I’m perhaps willing to give it another go when it comes out on DVD. THE LION KING (2019) - FILM REVIEW CLASSIFICATION: PG RUNTIME: 1h 58min GENRE: Animation/Adventure/Drama/Family/Musical SYNOPSIS: After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery. Ok, this film has been getting mixed to very negative criticism from critics and audiences but as a huge fan of the original and Disney films alone, I really enjoyed this film. The first thing you notice is how incredibly breathtaking the photorealistic animation is and I refuse to call it live action because realistically it's still animation that makes everything look real and visually it's incredibly spectacular. The voice acting and characters in my opinion are spot on especially Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon deliver some very funny moments, James Earl Jones reprises his role as Mufasa although his voice sounds a little aged, he still is the one and only King Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor does a brilliant job at making Scar sound evil which I was a little concerned that he might not be evil enough but he is on par with Jeremy Irons in my opinion and Beyoncé's portrayal of Nala and Donald Glover's portrayal of Simba are great and the original characters justice. The screenplay is sensational however there is one scene that could have been written better and the musical numbers are phenomenal however Be Prepared only goes for two minutes so it's only half the song although it is a well done scene but I would prefer the full original song and Can You Feel The Love Tonight is sung in the daytime which again is a great scene but they could have done it in the late afternoon like the original or if they want to do it in the daytime change the lyric to Can You Feel The Love Today.↘️↘️
Yes, 10. I tried to fault it, but it felt like a forced exercise. I have to admit that I was a bit underwhelmed by The Lion King back then when it first came out. I liked it, but it felt like a weaker follow-up and the beginning of a decline of the golden Disney era, but this remake has uncovered newfound respect for the movie. The story is very concise with great pace. Dialog flows naturally and each character is highly individual bringing something different to the mix. Scar in particular stands out. I didn't remember how good a villain he was! His evil is uncompromised and far from cartoonish. The CGI is incredible - a crowning achievement that serves to reminds us of that sense of amazement that everyone looked forward to in the next Disney movies exactly around the time when the Lion King came out and Disney were leaders of the high-tech animation space. What follows from this technical achievement is cinematography directed with paintbrush precision. Each frame finds new ways to impress the eyes - whether immersing you into panoramic green lands or creating chilling moments such as the beautifully framed early exchange of our vulnerable cub hero and his evil uncle lurking gigantically behind his back. The music is possibly one of the reasons for its longevity. I'm partial to the Circle of Life - it's a beautiful song with standout depth, but as most know, the movie balances the heavy philosophy of life and death perfectly with pop culture gems such as "Hakuna Matata". The comedy is as on point as the drama. All actors nail their roles specially the famous comedy duo. Bonus points for the Beauty and the Beast self-reference proving this is a much less serious Disney than it used to be. I'm dumbfounded by criticism that it's too much like the original. It's meant to be a new experience not a new story! The only explanation I have is that we live in the age of hatred for everything and hive mentality eagerness. Like it or don't like, be fair. It's a retelling. And in my opinion, one that serves as evidence that movie magic can be carried over into remakes if you just treat those works with love and authenticity. #thelionkingreview #lionking2019
MOVIE REVIEW: So... We finally got the live action Lion King movie. Was I hyped going in? Yes! Was I hyped coming out? 🤷🏾♂️. . Did it carry the same wonder of the cartoon? No! . What about the songs, were they as incredible as the cartoon? No! . But were the songs good at all? Yes, Beyonce's voice is life! . What didn't you like about the songs? They changed the lyrics & slightly altered the melody of some which made it loose its nostalgia, preventing that sweet feeling that comes from reminiscing on the beauty and positive impact the cartoon had on my life because even though I watched the cartoon only twice in my life, I have had the full soundtrack album on my phone for many years! . What about the story line? Pretty much the same! . The CGI nko? It was on point. But i couldn't differentiate between Sarabi and Nala, when Nala got older! . So did you like the movie at all? Yes I did, they added a few well placed jokes that made it funny plus Timon and Pumba were hilarious! So today we went to see Disney’s new live action The Lion King movie. We really enjoyed it (however the screening that we saw had quite a few children running around and up and down the stairs during the movie which kinda spoiled it for us a little😩) but I still think I prefer the OG! I was a little dubious about liking certain characters too, like Zazu not being voiced by Rowan Atkinson, but I was pleasantly surprised by John Oliver! Aaaaaaaaahh topengaaaaaa bababi chinoa... (Spoiler free) #TheLionKing is directed by #JonFavreau stars #DonaldGlover #Beyonce #SethRogan and #BillyEichner and is about, well, you’ve seen the original. It is that. In fact, this movie is incredibly faithful to the original, unfortunately to its detriment. It takes the same scenes, the same order, with the same songs, and a lot of the same lines, with a lot of the same shots, all to create a “nicer” looking version than the original. I put nicer in parenthesis because it does look incredible. The visuals are stunning, but I don’t think this movie looks quite as good from a creative standpoint. It plays it safe, I would say too safe. It is so scared to break out of its self imposed box of realism that if feels boring from a visual standpoint. There’s nothing that really stands out when it comes to how this was directed. I think the cast does really well. Billy Eichner & #JohnOliver are standouts for me. They both captured the essence of their characters while bring a little something new which I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the score quite a bit. #HansZimmer came back for this and he uses most of the same music, but I really enjoyed the updated sound. I can’t seem to get over how it’s just the same exact movie, even more than other remakes. I’m not sure what I was expecting here. I wanted the same feeling as the original, without following the original movie like it’s the Bible. #Aladdin did a great job bringing some new songs and story beats to the movie, without breaking the feel of the original Aladdin. I guess I wanted this movie to do the same. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but among the 2019 #Disney remakes, #GuyRitchies Aladdin was my favorite, and I am shocked that that is true. I give this a “Look, if you want to watch The Lion King, watch the original... or the broadway show. This is the third best Lion king adaptation,” out of ten. But what did you think of these movies? In this circle of life, we return to Pride Rock for Jon Favreau’s “live action” version of The Lion King. “Live action” is in quotations because it’s actually still an animated movie, just made to look more realistic using high end CG imagery. The film’s look is a beautiful marvel, especially in scenes that copy shot for shot of the original animated film. The story does stay true to the original film and only deviates very so slightly, where it doesn’t change the path of the original storyline or you don’t really notice the change at all, unlike the other Disney live action remakes. Where the original has the advantage over the remake, it’s the emotional impact. In a classical animation, there is more freedom to show emotions on a character’s face. When it’s moves to the more realistic animal look, there is more limitations on how to get the emotions across. Overall the new voice actors did well, especially Donald Glover and Chiwetel Ejiofor, but I do miss Jeremy Irons and Matthew Broderick. When it come to the music, only a couple of the song I didn’t really enjoy the new take. Also hearing Childish Gambino sing “Can you feel the love tonight?” was interesting. What I enjoyed the most was seeing how the change from the original’s fantasy cartoonish scenes to a practical vision. It was familiar and different at the same time, which had me smiling on the brilliance or looking puzzled on why they did it that way. Overall the original 1994 film was better, however the 2019 film is enjoyable and shouldn’t be passed on. The Lion King live action adaptation is 1 van de nutteloze films die ik ooit heb gezien 😑 Deze film liet mij echt beseffen dat live action remakes onnodig zijn. Wat deze film natuurlijk red is dat het The Lion King is. Maar tergerlijkertijd is dat ook weer een nadeel want dit is THE Lion King 😅 Net zoals alle andere live action adaptations heb je hier ook wat aanpassingen maar van alle aanpassingen was het bij deze film het meest onnodig. Visueel/CGI zag de film er fantasties uit 🦁👑 Disney laat wel zien in deze film hoe ver ze erin zijn gekomen om alles fotorealistisch te maken. Maar daardoor komt de film vaak over alsof het een natuurdocumentaire is + omdat de film half uur langer is kan het soms saai worden. Alle acteurs deden het gewoon goed als hun character. De muziek was niet verkeerd modern gemaakt maar de nieuwe nummer was niet echt iets bezonders. Wat ik wel beter vond in deze film dan in de animated film is Pumbaa, The Lion Sleeps Tonight en de Final Battle voor de rest vond ik alles minder.
