Mahamrityunjaya Mantra or Rudra Mantra- Its God is Rudra, i.e., Shiva as per Hindu beliefs. It’s a prayer to Lord (three-eyed one) who is a nurturer; who possesses the growth of nourishment, that “may I be released from bondage=death”. It has its roots in Rigveda and also recurs in Yajurveda. Benefits of this chanting are numerous. This chanting is said to be beneficial to restore mental, emotional and physical health and happiness. Furthermore, in Indian tradition, this is also a belief that regular chanting of this mantra not only unblocks healing power and remove obstacles in life but also protects humans from premature death. That’s why sometimes this mantra is also referred to as “Death Conquering Mantra”. Happy Maha Shivratri everyone. ☮️ 🧘♀️🧘♂️🕉 🌟 Old texts say that in ancient days, only a handful no. of sages had access to this mantra. This mantra has such positive energy with it that few mins of chanting can heal you from your lowest moods. Mantras and positive affirmations are great tools for self-healing, provided they are chanted correctly and in a sound frequency that connects you with the higher energy. I prefer to chant this mantra frequently in my practice.
