In this workshop, we will discuss mindfulness and learn neurographic art. I will discuss how these mindfulness practices can help regulate your nervous system. When our nervous system is regulated we feel better and alleviate many of our physical and mental symptoms. We can live in the moment and be our authentic selves. An asana is being in the state of pranayama, mudra, pratyahara and meditation. It inverts the senses within and helps vibe with the nature around. A student of mine first came to me with back pain. After a couple months of 2-3 personalised yoga sessions a week, it is gone! Also her legs look toned and they feel stronger during practice 🤩 During personal sessions, we can chat between poses about your concerns and create a plan that focuses on those areas. 🫶Sadeln🫶 Det finns några få ställningar som både mina elever och de lärare som utbildar sig hos oss gärna undviker, Sadeln är definitivt en av dem. Den väcker rädsla, ja, till och med skräck! Jag säger det om och om igen, var inte rädda för Sadeln, den är fantastisk. Sadeln öppnar upp hela framsidan av kroppen; bröstet, låren och buken. Ryggraden får en så kallad kompression, när kotorna pressas mot varandra. Många känner mycket i bäckenet, höften och framsidan av låren medan andra känner mest i ryggen. Denna ställning kan vara bra för dina knän, men om du har knäproblem bör du rådfråga din läkare eller kroppsterapeut. Eller göra någon av de mildare varianter som jag presenterar på nästa sida. Sadeln stretchar även ut höftböjaren – Psoas, en muskel som sitter vid höften och som ofta blir stel, med ryggsmärta som följd. Sadeln kan hjälpa dig till mindre ryggsmärta, bättre hållning och den har även en positiv inverkan på andningen. Ditt nervsystem kommer troligtvis säga åt dig att komma ur posi- tionen redan efter några andetag men försök våga vara kvar även om reaktionen är stark. Efter cirka någon minut kommer det sympatiska nervsystemet (försvar och stress) att lugna sig och det parasympatiska (lugn och ro) att ta vid. Stanna så länge du känner dig bekväm, det vill säga så länge du tror att du kommer att överleva, kanske bara någon minut i början. Utöka sedan tiden. Våga! Texten är kortad ur min bok. A sneak preview as Lili and I enjoy a playful session together, we will be preparing mini yoga videos for equestrians (after her exams are over!) watch this space…… As we know, yoga is a practice for the mind, however the physical health of the body is important and can be nurtured through the yoga moves, we call asana. Even with a short daily practice, the equestrian athlete can benefit from physiological and psychological improvements before and after riding. When the rider is in a more balanced mental and physical state, this positive energy will transmit to the horse. Although animals are healing for some, when training for a competitive sport, the care and wellbeing of the animal should always be considered, especially when you’re not having a great day or feeling frustrated in your life.
