1️⃣1️⃣ Things About Me Continued ~ 7 🍉 I was 100% vegan for 10 years, and raw vegan/fruitarian for 2 or 3. I still eat a plant based diet, but have let go of labels and rigidity. After an entire decade, I'm learning to deeply listen to my body's messages. Though fruit is still my #1 and I still don't get the whole raw cow milk trend 🤪 8 🍸 I haven't drank alcohol in over 6 years. Like many American college students, I used to go out multiple times a week, but once I realized how much it ưeas affecting me, I had to say bye once and for all. To me, alcohol is the lowest vibration and my life elevated the day I quit. 9 🌴 There is nowhere I'd rather be than in nature. I love it all: mountains, forests, beaches, and anywhere tropical. I used to live downtown Chicago, but now can never imagine living longterm in a city again. 10 🦋 I have a Youtube channel in Vietnamese with over 31,000 subscribers. I'm actually an introvert with a sensitive soul, but have so much that I want to share, so I'm finding the balance. 11 🏞️ We plan to worldschool our children, though are still researching and feeling into what that will look like. Growing up as a South African child, we were always told that your amount of fun was determined by how dirty your feet were and how bruised your legs were😅 Having a daughter grow up in Vietnam, the slightest bruise means you’re not taking care of your child properly 😅 and shoes, well it’s always just too hot outside not to wear shoes but they get just as dirty which shoes us how good of a time she has when we’re not around. The contrast in upbringing is so different, but this little girl has South African parents, so you know she’s going to grow up the old school way, outside and in the open air ☀️

If you could plan a trip anywhere right now, where would it be? Monet’s garden {just outside of Paris} is always a good idea in the spring. If you enjoy art or gardens, I highly recommend the trip, but DEFINITELY follow these tips. *save this as a reminder* - book your tickets in advance - book the EARLIEST train from Paris to Giverny & bring your breakfast on the train - once on property, run straight to the back gardens so you can see the large pond & bridge with fewer people! Then go back and visit the home & front gardens after. Most people don’t do this, so you’ll feel weird passing everyone- do it anyways. - Take note of the bus and train rides home and plan accordingly. We took a slightly earlier bus so we could enjoy the town a bit- it’s pretty small, so we just grabbed a snack for the train back.

📍New Found Gap, The Great Smoky Mountains NP Nice overlook, but it gets really busy! The rangers said to get there early or late to see the wildlife, but we didn’t get a chance to see any. We did go later in the day which was much less crowded than the morning when we drove by. The Tennessee and North Carolina state line is here as well. As you can tell in the picture, my little one was done for the day. Fun fact: Appalachian trail connects through the New Found Gap and we were able to see some hikers come through the area who are hiking this trail. 📍 Grotto Falls, Smoky Mountains National Park. This was the longest hike with both of our kids. The road/parking by the trailhead was still closed. So we decided to walk along the road to the trailhead. Our 4 year old was a trooper walking the whole way and the baby was at wonders looking at the scenery. We were lucky enough to see some white-tailed deer.
