Practical insights into understanding the golden ratio, the rule of thirds, and @long.explorer’s editing process! “Creating dynamic and aesthetic photos relies on good composition. To achieve visually pleasing images, consider the following compositional rules: 1) The golden ratio (1.618 to 1) is a common pattern found in nature that naturally leads the viewer around your image in a balanced and visually appealing way. You don’t need to do any complex calculations to apply this technique. Awareness of this pattern, looking for it in nature, and composing your images with a spiral arrangement can be sufficient, especially when starting - see pic. 2. 2) The rule of thirds simplifies the golden ratio and is easy to apply with our cameras and editing software. To use this rule, divide your landscape into thirds horizontally and vertically, creating a grid with nine rectangular areas. Then, place your subject at one of the intersecting points, like the top left or right, or bottom left or right. This simple adjustment can make your image more visually appealing - see pic. 3 To find these patterns in nature, I try every possible perspective getting ultra-wide shots, compressed tele shots, detailed shots of the surroundings, and panoramic shots. Shooting like this lets you get into a very intense flow and maximize your compositions. 3) When editing, I start by adjusting the exposure and white balance. Then, I fine-tune the light using curves and sliders. Next, I edit the colors until I achieve the desired style. To sharpen my photos, I use ‘Supersharp AI’ to bring more details and make the image look crisper. Sometimes, you want to reframe your photo to adhere as closely as possible to the compositional rules mentioned above, which means you get a lower resolution. In this case, use the ‘AI Upscale’ tool to recover more details. Finally, I make local adjustments to highlight the subject, darken the foreground, and remove unwanted objects. I aim for a defined color scheme with two or three colors to maintain a consistent and recognizable style in my photos - see pics 8 to 10.” 🎨📸

Coffee and brekkie at a motorcycle themed cafe in Lymington, Hampshire - @777motorcyclecafe ☕️🏍️🛞⚓️ ✔️This morning we visited a recently opened spot in the waterside town just off the main high st at the top of the famous cobbled street leading down to the quayside. It’s a bit of a hidden gem tucked away and has been a garage for around 35 years until in October the owner John opened it up as a coffee and food spot too. It’s got plenty to take in with motorcycle themed decor everywhere you look and vintage couches and more. Indie rock music playing and serving up local Lymington Coffee mongers coffee roasted around the corner. They still do motorbike mot and servicing as part of the cafe space! They serve up brekkies and lunches and we had a avo and egg plate as well as sausage and egg sandwich which set the day right. 🍳 Its open 9-4 Tuesdays to Sundays and also available for private hire. ❗Spomenik Prvi belokranjski četi na Gornjih Lazah v občini Semič ➡Med 2. sv. vojno je Bela krajina dala pomemben prispevek k uspehu narodnoosvobodilnega boja. ➡28. oktobra 1941 so na Smuku nad Semičem ustanovili Semiško četo. 30. oktobra so se jim pridružili borci iz drugih belokranjskih krajev in ustanovili so Prvo belokranjsko četo. Še istega dne so v visokem snegu krenili v boj na Dolenjsko. Njihov pohod je bil načrtovan pomanjkljivo, saj so premalo vedeli o poti in ovirah na njej. Ko so prispeli do reke Krke, narasle vode niso mogli prečkati. V snežnem metežu so se vrnili na Gornje Laze, da bi tam izčrpani prenočili. V svoji neizkušenosti straže niso postavili. ➡Italijanski vojaki so izvedeli, kam so se zatekli partizani. Obkolili so Mavsarjevo domačijo na Gornjih Lazah in jo zažgali. Partizanom so tako onemogočili umik in jih pobili, ubili so tudi gospodarja Alojza Mavsarja. Nekaj partizanov iz Šobarjeve hiše se je uspelo umakniti, a so jih prijeli v naslednjih dneh. Skupno je življenje izgubilo devetnajst belokranjskih prvoborcev. ➡Komisarja čete Jožeta Mihelčiča so ujeli dan pozneje. Novembra 1941 so ga Italijani v Ljubljani obsodili na smrt, ga ustrelili in pokopali v Trstu. Leta 1951 je bil proglašen za narodnega heroja. ➡Na mestu, kjer je nekoč stala Mavsarjeva domačija, danes stoji spomenik, delo akademskega kiparja Stojana Batiča. ➡V spomin na dogodke ob ustanovitvi Semiške čete občina Semič praznuje občinski praznik 28. oktobra. Spomin na te borce živi tudi v imenu Osnovne šole Belokranjskega odreda Semič.
