Rose szn 😍 I started growing these roses a few years ago. I was inspired by my neighbor who had beautiful roses in all colors trellised up the front of her house and I wanted to recreate the magic for myself. These roses grew so well the first couple years, but then I had to relocate them to a different part of the yard while we renovated. They struggled all of last year and I was just happy they survived at all 😂 So I pruned them back heavily, added tons of compost and a boost of fertilizer, and now they are thriving 💃🏼 Aside from the relocation drama, these roses have been quite easy to maintain. I was intimidated to grow these because I had heard about the intensive care they require, but that hasn’t been true in my experience 🤷🏼♀️ I highly recommend growing roses if you don’t already! Some carrots and first year Meyers lemons then limes both young trees have produced a good bit of fruit this year. Our Clematisis vibrant and in full bloom! These 2 citrus trees will go into a couple of 40gal, nursery pots for the next several seasons. Their health and yields will determine if they stay or go in the ground. I like the planter option. A comparison of Falstaff (left in first video, third video) and Munstead Wood (right in first video, second video), both English shrub roses bred by @david_austin_roses . Falstaff has a slightly lighter coloring, a gorgeous cupped shape as it opens, a higher petal count, but doesn’t have much fragrance. Munstead Wood is a beautiful deep color with a strong fruity fragrance but has absolutely wicked thorns. I had to be very careful holding this bouquet because I was wearing regular garden gloves instead of my thicker rose gloves. Purple coneflower is an herbaceous perennial in the Asteraceae (daisy) family that is native to central and eastern United States. It may grow 3 to 4 feet tall and produce pinkish-purple flowers that mature in early summer through mid-fall. This plant prefers well-drained, moist loam but is adaptable to various soil types. It is drought tolerant once established and can grow in full sun to partial shade. It is also deer, heat, humidity, and salt resistant. Easily propagated by seed, it will reseed itself in the garden. This is a popular and long-blooming plant for use as a border or in groupings in a native or pollinator garden, meadow, and naturalized areas. Many cultivars are available for varied sizes and colors. Several pollinators are attracted to the flower, especially butterflies.
