I was excited to jump in as soon as this gifted copy dropped in my lap from @authorkaycove , @pageandvinebooks and @luvbooksclub ! The premise and plot had me intrigued but once I started reading I was hooked. There’s just something about building up a woman’s worth, while also falling for the other person in the process. Avery reminds me of myself before I finally really, truly opened up to my husband for likes and dislikes. Where, like Avery I struggle with intimacy. Finn is an absolute dreamboat and I would love to have one of him in my life and the way he treats and supports Avery? Ahem. Yes please. The storyline is rock solid, and perhaps at times may not be somebody’s cup of tea, but the author does a fantastic time of keeping the flame lit even between the scenes. This was my first novel from this author but she left me wanting way more and I look forward to putting more books of hers on my shelf. What to do when your VOICE lets you down? Many of my colleagues, and perhaps even listeners over the years will know that I’ve wrestled with vocal problems thoughout my career. I live with chronic illness, and when I get run down, my voice is the first thing to go 😣 The scratchy sound.. Loss of range.. That irritating tickle in the throat. I’m here to tell you it’s a special kind of fear when it kicks in during a LIVE television appearance! It came close to being a big issue on the weekend.
