മഞ്ഞവെയിൽ മരണങ്ങൾ : ബെന്യാമിൻ നോവൽ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ക്രിസ്റ്റി പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ എന്തൊക്കെയോ ആവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച് എവിടെയൊക്കെയോ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നവരല്ലേ നമ്മൾ എല്ലാവരും? മൂന്നു തവണ ആവർത്തിച്ചു വായിച്ച കൃതി. ഒരു നോവൽ ആദ്യമായി വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന അനുഭവം അല്ല അത് രണ്ടാമത് വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഇത് രണ്ടുമല്ല മൂന്നാമത് വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ. എന്റെ പല സംശയങ്ങൾക്കും ഉത്തരം കിട്ടിയ ഒരു വായന ആയിരുന്നു ഇത്തവണ. ബെന്യാമിനെ തേടി ക്രിസ്റ്റിയുടെ email സന്ദേശം എത്തുന്നു, സെന്തിൽ എന്നൊരാളുടെ കൊലപാതകം നേരിട്ടു കണ്ട ചെറുപ്പക്കാരൻ. എഴുത്തുകാരൻ ആകണമെന്നാണ് ക്രിസ്റ്റിയുടെ സ്വപ്നം. പക്ഷേ എഴുതിത്തയ്യാറാക്കിയ നോവൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കാൻ ഉള്ള സാഹചര്യം ആയിരുന്നില്ല അയാൾക്ക്. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ക്രിസ്റ്റി തന്റെ നോവലിന്റെ ആദ്യ ഭാഗം ബെന്യാമിന് അയക്കുന്നു. അയച്ചു കൊടുത്ത അയാളുടെ നോവലിന്റെ ആദ്യ ഭാഗത്തിലൂടെ ഡീഗോ ഗർഷ്യേയെ കുറിച്ചും അയാളുടെ ജീവിതത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ബെന്യാമിൻ അറിയുന്നു, പിന്നീട് ആ നോവലിന്റെ ബാക്കി ഭാഗങ്ങൾ കണ്ടെത്തി വായിക്കുന്നതായാണ് കഥ. വ്യാഴച്ചന്തകളുടെ ചർച്ചകൾ മികച്ചതായിരുന്നു. ചിരിപ്പിച്ചു അതിലേറെ ചിന്തിപ്പിച്ചു. ഒരു typical friendship കൂട്ടം തന്നെയായിരുന്നു അത്. അവരെല്ലാവരും കൂടി നോവലിന്റെ ബാക്കി ഭാഗങ്ങൾ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നത് എനിക്കു വല്ലാത്തൊരു അത്ഭുതമായിരുന്നു. കൽദായ സഭയെകുറിച്ച് ആദ്യമായാണ് അറിയുന്നത്. ഉദയംപേരൂർ ഒന്നു പോകണം. ആ പള്ളികൾ ഒക്കെ ഒന്നു കാണണം! ഒത്താൽ ഒരു മറിയം സേവയും! ക്രിസ്റ്റി അവകാശപ്പെട്ടതുപോലെ വല്ലാത്തൊരു ത്രില്ലർ നോവൽ തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകം. വ്യഴച്ചന്തകളുടെ ഇൻവെസ്റ്റിഗേഷൻ കൂടെ ചേർന്നപ്പോൾ മഞ്ഞവെയിൽ മരണങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരു Benyamin Magic ആയി. എന്തൊക്കെയോ പറയാൻ ബാക്കി വെച്ച്, ഒരുപാട് ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരമില്ലാതെയാണ് നോവൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നത്. പക്ഷേ അത് തന്നെയാണ് നോവലിന്റെ വിജയവും, ഒരു ബെന്യാമിൻ ബ്രില്ലെൻസും! എനിക്കും ഇനിയും ഒരുപാട് എഴുതണം എന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ ഇവിടെ നിർത്തുന്നു. നോവലിലെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട മറ്റൊരു കഥാപാത്രമാണ് മെൽവിൻ. പറയാൻ ബാക്കി വെച്ച കൂട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് ഞാൻ അതും കുടെ ചേർക്കുന്നു. ശരിക്കും ക്രിസ്റ്റി അന്ത്രപ്പേർ എന്നൊരാൾ എവിടെയോ ഉണ്ട് എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കാനാണ് എനിക്കിഷ്ടം. എന്നെങ്കിലും അയാളെ ഒന്നു കാണണമെന്ന് എവിടെയോ ഒരു മോഹം. ക്രിസ്റ്റി ലോകത്തിന്റെ ഏതോ ഒരു കോണിലിരുന്ന് പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകം രണ്ടാം ഭാഗം എഴുതുകയാവും. അതൊരുപക്ഷേ വീണ്ടും മറ്റൊരു Benyamin Magic ആയി പിറന്നേക്കാം. കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.. #readingmotherlanguage #malayalaminmarch #manjaveyil_maranangal #benyamin #benyaminnovel
കുന്നോളമുണ്ടല്ലോ ഭൂതകാലക്കുളിർ : ദീപാനിശാന്ത് ഓർമ്മ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 നമുക്ക് ജീവിക്കാൻ ധൈര്യമില്ലാതായിപ്പോകുന്ന, നമ്മെ കൊതിപ്പിക്കുന്ന, അർത്ഥവത്തായ ചില ജീവിതങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അവ നമ്മെ ഇടയ്ക്ക് പുച്ഛിക്കും. "നിങ്ങളീ ജീവിക്കുന്നതൊന്നുമല്ല ജീവിതം. ഇങ്ങനെയൊന്ന് ജീവിച്ചു കാണിക്ക്" എന്ന്പറഞ്ഞ് വെല്ലുവിളിക്കും.. ആ വെല്ലുവിളി ഏറ്റെടുക്കാൻ ധൈര്യമില്ലാതെ നമ്മൾ ചൂളിച്ചുരുങ്ങും. ബസിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാൻ ഒട്ടും താൽപര്യമില്ലാത്ത ഒരാളാണ് ഞാൻ, അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെയാണ് കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് ഡ്രൈവിംഗ് ലൈസൻസ് എടുത്ത് എന്റെ അഹങ്കാരം ഒന്നുടെ കൂട്ടിയതും. പക്ഷേ ഇൗ കുറിപ്പുകൾ വായിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ബസിൽ ഒരു യാത്ര പോകാൻ വല്ലാത്ത മോഹം തോന്നി. ടീച്ചറെ പോലെ ഓർത്ത് വെക്കാൻ എനിക്കുമുണ്ട് കുറച്ച് നല്ല ബസ് യാത്രകളും സ്നേഹം നിറഞ്ഞ കണ്ടക്ടർ ഡ്രൈവർ ചേട്ടന്മാരും. ടീച്ചറെ പോലെ തന്നെ എന്തേ എന്നെ മാത്രം ഡാൻസും പാട്ടും പഠിക്കാൻ വിട്ടിലാന്നും പറഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിൽ ബഹളം വെക്കുന്ന ആളാണ് ഞാനും. സ്കൂളിലും കോളേജിലും ഡാൻസും കളിച്ച് പാട്ടും പാടി ഷൈൻ ചെയ്തു നടന്നിരുന്ന എല്ലാരോടും ഭയങ്കരമായ അസൂയ എനിക്കും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്റെ പിള്ളേരെ ഞാൻ ഡാൻസും പാട്ടും ചിത്രം വരേം മ്യൂസിക് ഇൻസ്ട്രുമെൻസും പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ വിടുംന്ന്‌ അമ്മയോട് വീമ്പു പറയാറുണ്ട് ഞാൻ! വീട്ടിൽ പണ്ട് വരുത്തിയിരുന്ന വനിത മാഗസിനിൽ അച്ചടിച്ചുവരുന്ന തുടർനോവലുകൾ അമ്മയും ചേച്ചിയും കാണാതെ ഒളിച്ചിരുന്നു വായിച്ചിരുന്ന കുട്ടിക്കാലം എനിക്കുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു! പതിവുപോലെ തന്നെ, ചില കുറിപ്പുകൾ ചിരിപ്പിച്ചു മറ്റുചിലത് വിഷമിപ്പിച്ചു. നന്ദി ടീച്ചറെ, കുട്ടിക്കാലത്ത് പുസ്തകത്താളിൽ ആകാശം കാണിക്കാതെ മയില്പ്പീലി പെറ്റുപെരുകാൻ വേണ്ടി സൂക്ഷിച്ചു വെക്കുന്നത് പോലെ എൻറെ ഹൃദയത്തിൻറെ ഏതോ ഒരു കോണിൽ എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായി അടച്ചുപൂട്ടി വച്ചിരുന്ന ഓർമ്മകളുടെ പൂട്ട് തുറക്കാൻ എന്നെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചതിന്. ഓർത്തുവയ്ക്കാൻ ഒരു കുന്നോളം ഓർമ്മകൾ ടീച്ചർ എനിക്കും സമ്മാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്, എൻറെ ഓർമ്മകളും, ടീച്ചറുടേയും. നന്ദി ടീച്ചറെ, ഇത്രയും മനോഹരമായി ഓർമ്മക്കുറിപ്പുകൾ എഴുതാം എന്ന് പഠിപ്പിച്ച്‌ തന്നതിന്. ഓർമ്മകളോളം കുളിര് മറ്റൊന്നുനുമില്ല എന്ന് ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചതിനു. #readingmotherlanguage #malayalaminmarch #kunnolamundallo_bhoothakalakkulir #deepanishanth #deepanisanth #sreekeralavarmacollege #thrissur #memoir #ottamarapeythu #nanajutheerthamazhakal #malayalambooksandnovels #malayalamauthors #malayalambookclub #keralabookstagram #bookstgramcommunity #bookstagram #ilovereading #bookphotography #naturestories #natureandbooks #greeneryandbooks #green

The Forty Rules of Love : Elif Shafak Fiction 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ How can love be worthy of its name if one selects solely the pretty things and leaves out the hardships? It is easy to enjoy the good and dislike the bad. Anybody can do that. The real challenge is to love the good and the bad together, not because you need to take the rough with the smooth but because you need to go beyond such descriptions and accept love in its entirety. Before beginning this book I was thinking why the number forty!? But when I came across the importance of forty I was shocked! This book taught me the forty rules of love and so many other things. A very different reading experience it was. Complicated story, yet I loved it so much. Ella is a forty year old home maker. She received a book named Sweet Blasphemy, written by a Sufi, Aziz. That book was about two amazing people, Shams, a Sufi and Rumi, the renowned poet. That novel focuses on their journey, how they met, the growth of their friendship, their discussions about love life religion, how their friendship affected Rumi's family and so on. Ella's marital relationship with her husband David was not a success even if they had three children. The story focuses Ella's emotions too. She felt disappointed towards life until she met Aziz. He too had a different life story to share. Eventually they fell in love. At the end Ella took the bravest decision ever which made her realise the value of life and taking appropriate actions when the time comes. There are so many characters in this book, with different stories. Thus we can live so many lives. The book also accounts on Sufism. There are amazing quotes and lessons that everyone should learn and understand. Somewhere in between the two era, in Ella's story and in Sham's we can feel resemblance between characters and their thinking process. Which I think is another beautiful thing about this book.
