[ 1984, Sanjay Suri, Sikh Riots, Indira Gandhi, Real Story, The Anti Sikh Delhi Riots, History, Prabhat Books ] . . . #1984 #sanyaysuri #delhi #sikhriots #truth #untoldstory #sikh #sikhdange #indiragandhi #riots #realstory #hindibooks #bookstagram #bookstagramindia #booksofinstagram #antisikhriots #books #history #historybooks #prabhatbooks

[ Book Of The Day, Bhartiya Grahak Andolan, Siddhartha Shankar Gautam, The Evolution Of Indian Customer, History, Prabhat Books ] #bookoftheday #bhartiyagrahakandolan #siddharthashankargautam #evolution #indiancustomer #consumer #indianconsumer #consumersupport #hindibooks #history #bookstagramindia #bookstagram #prabhatbooks

Book: The Banksia House Breakout Author: James Roxburgh Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(4/5) Reviewer: Sha Review: Most stories typically centre around kids, teenagers, or young adults. However, I love that “The Banksia House Breakout” revolves around an older protagonist, making it enjoyable for readers of all ages. The story follows Ruth, a woman embarking on the second chapter of her life as she moves into a nursing home, a decision made by her son. Her experiences and adventures there are both exciting and thought-provoking. Through the character of Michael, Ruth’s son, readers are led to ponder whether we are genuinely focused on life’s important aspects or are merely caught up in the relentless pursuit of success. This book offers a fresh perspective on the older generation and life’s later stages. It suggests that, stereotypes aside, everyone deserves beauty, joy, and the freedom to choose, regardless of age. The characters encompass a broad spectrum of personalities and experiences, providing readers with a comprehensive glimpse into various life paths. Moreover, the story beautifully delves into the theme of sisterhood, illustrating how women support each other during trying times and showcasing the significance of deep, meaningful female friendships. In sum, “The Banksia House Breakout” is a well-rounded, beautifully crafted tale. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates heartfelt stories. #shazbookclub #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagramaustralia #bookworm #bookstagramindia #bookstagramusa #audible #jamesroxburgh #thebanksiahousebreakout #bookrecommendations #fiction

The memory paradox (the gift and curse of human memory) is an excellent book written by TE Aravind . Even though this is the first book written by author, readers won't even feel it is so. Aravind predicts a new dream like story which can be a reality very soon. The imaginary medical concepts used were very captivating. Book uses very intriguing plot and keeps the readers involved in the story with well developed characters. I appreciate the original concept in this book and I so look forward to read the next book in this series. I hope even the bookworms will love reading something fresh, original and innovative. This book will take you in whole different world. The tale highlights the story of IT professionals exploring solutions for complex technological aspects like erasing or altering human memory of a particular period of time. One of the main protagonist falls prey to a plot set by one of IT professionals and is targeted and experimented on this project. There are some strong female characters as well , very nicely portraying the importance of mental wellbeing , how our future will treat mental traumas with advancement of technology and how it can be a boon as well as Bane. Book also shows a suspenseful ending, some spy team who are looking out for this technology and hinting for a second book in this series. #newrelease #bookstagram #bookstagramfamily #bookstagramindia #bookstagramfeature #indianbookstagram #bookinsta #goanblogger #novels #bookstagramdaily #bookstoread #bookblogger #goodreads #authorsofinstagram #bookblogger #goanblogger #thememoryparadox

[ Amar Bal Lahaniyan, Rambriksh Benipuri, Hindi Writer, Hindi Sahitya, Children Book, Children's Literature, Book Of The Day, Prabhat Books ] #maatikimoorten #rambrikshbenipuri #hindiwriter #hindisahitya #bookoftheday #hindibhasha #sahitya #booksofinstagram #bookstagram #childrenbook #childrensliterature #storybook #ruskinbondquotes #storybooks #storytelling #bestsellingauthor #hindisahitya #bookstagramindia #bookstagram #bestsellingbook

“I don’t know where to stop, or how to go on. I stop when I shouldn’t. I go on when I should stop. There is weariness. But there is also defiance. Together they define me these days. Together they steal my sleep, and together they restore my soul. There are plenty of problems with no solutions in sight. Friends turn into foes. If not vocal ones, then silent, reticent ones. Book name: Where Rainbows End Author name: Cecelia Ahern "Note to self: Do not under any circumstances fall in love again." Relatable right? Where Rainbows End is a series of things gone wrong and how when life starts happening, one needs to start coping with it the best way possible. It is a book written purely in letters, instant messages and emails and spans for about the lead's lifetime! First and foremost, a book that barely has any dialogues, but still feels so so so verbose! Hi, It's been a long time, I know. I recently bought some books (first slide) in a recently opened bookshop in Kolkata. There I met a few people, talked about books with them. And I missed how I used to talk about books here, I missed talking about newly released books. I also finished some books recently, I will come with the reviews shortly. But first, I'd like to talk about why I was missing. (Will come soon) How have you all been? Everything alright? Thank you for not unfollowing though I was not posting for a long time. Means a lot. #bookstagram #bookstagramindia #bookstagramkolkata #kolkata #books #butter #solitaire #newbooks #hi

Book: Death of Sarat Rout Author: Ashok Nanda Review: The book cover and the story setting made me nostalgic of reading stories during our childhood in schools, because the cover is artistic and simple as that, and the story takes us to the enchanting villages of 2960s Eastern India. Of course the school texts don't talk about death and corpses. But yes, the writing style is nostalgic. Sarat Rout's corpse is found hanging on the guava tree in the courtyard of the minor landlord's house. People know who might be responsible, but do not dare to reveal. No one speaks about death in public but conversations happen in houses. We get to see the village through the innocent eyes of Pahali, a boy too young to even understand the meaning of death, and we see a realm rich with mystical beliefs, ancient rituals and age-old customs. We get to witness the rural life and the complex social structure during the times. The depiction of the caste system and the injustice is a realistic portrayal. A vividly painted description of temples, beggars, witchcraft, gods and goddesses while the book touches upon several important themes and does not get weak with the time. It's a page turner and an easy afternoon read. I finished it in just two sittings, because it's such a gripping tale and I wanted to know about the suspense. The storyline is engrossing and a good murder mystery. It's an entertainer and it's brilliantly written. Definitely recommended. 🌟5/5 . . . #581 #bookstagram #books #booklover #book #bookworm #bookstagrammer #reading #bookblogger #bookstagramindia #bookinfluencer #influencer #booksbooksbooks #deathofsaratrout #ashoknanda #murdermystery #thriller #thrillerreads #casteism #ruralindia #village #indianbookstagrammer #booksta #review #bookreview #readsandmusic #livre #livreaddict

Q - what is your current read? (I just finished this book so I’m still in the process of finding a new book, so drop your recs below) I’ve heard accusations that murder mysteries are ‘formulaic’ and have no fresh ideas. I would now point these accuser towards Seishi Yokomizo who seems to have been hell bent on trying on focusing on a new aspect of a murder mystery in every book - for the Village of Eight Graves it was characters and for the Devil’s Flute Murders it is the investigation process. The Devil’s Flute Murders - Review : ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think the characters and the actual murder are of poor quality, but the investigation process - which makes up a bulk of the book is actually amazing. The constant fight against time, the interesting characters they met along the way who had even more interesting stories, and the various people they had to meet to connect all the dots - all these things felt like you were part of the investigative process, almost like you were a shadow, following them everywhere and seeing the work of the detectives. I think the process of reading this book was more akin to being on a ride in a a theme park, specifically the Fast and Furious ride in Universal Studios, where you’re in a bus and you’re seeing the action happening all around you and you’re going along with the action - you feel the ups and downs they feel and the losses and wins they feel. Overall, I really liked this book! I would definitely recommend it!

★★★★☆ The Next New Syrian Girl is a ya contemporary by @ream_shu which follows the story of 2 girls, Khadija who belings to the Syrian American diaspora community and boxes to cope with life (and most of all her condescending mother), and Leene, a Syrian refugee who has recently been granted asylum in the US and appears to be the perfect Syrian daughter.  The book alternates between chapters from the povs of both Khadija and Leene, which perfectly portrays how no matter how perfect someone's life may seem, in reality, it's far from being perfect. For Khadija, Leene is the epitome of Syrian values and is one of the lucky ones to be granted asylum and for Leene on the other hand, Khadija is the wealthy American blessed with both family and material abundance. An unlikely event happens to bring the two girls closer, which challenges their preconceived notions and teaches them how everyone deals differently with grief. Character development is not everyone's cup of tea and is often written very poorly, but Khadija's character development was chef's kiss, very natural and beleiveable. I literally went from despising Khadija to empathising with her. Highly recommended for Zoulfa Katouh and Khaled Hosseini fans. 📖📖 Book Title: Solo 📖📖 ✍️✍️ Book Author: Rishi Suri ✍️✍️ 🌟🌟 Book Rating: 4/5 🌟🌟 ✨✨ Book Review ✨✨ In " #Solo - Embracing the Darkness to Find a New Light", author Rishi Suri crafts a poignant narrative that encapsulates the unpredictable nature of life and the transformative power of introspection. Through the riveting journey of protagonist Vedant Malik, readers are taken on a visceral exploration of loss, despair, and ultimately, redemption. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a spontaneous solo road trip to the Himalayas, undertaken by Vedant in the throes of overwhelming grief and hopelessness. With no fixed destination in mind, Vedant's journey mirrors the tumultuous twists and turns of life itself, as he navigates treacherous terrain and encounters unforeseen challenges along the way. Rishi masterfully captures the essence of Vedant's emotional turmoil, painting a vivid portrait of his inner struggles and existential dilemmas. Yet, amidst the chaos and despair, there are glimmers of hope – fleeting moments of connection with strangers who offer unexpected kindness and support. Central to Vedant's journey is his encounter with a Spiritual Guru, whose sage guidance becomes the catalyst for profound inner transformation. Under the Guru's tutelage, Vedant not only confronts his grief but also embarks on a journey of self-discovery, delving deep into the recesses of his soul to unearth his true purpose and potential. Rishi's narrative is both captivating and deeply evocative, drawing readers into Vedant's emotional odyssey with an immersive blend of prose and introspection. #Repost @readsandmusic with @get.repost ・・・ Book: Peace Tigers Author: Dave Martelon Review: Peace Tigers is a wonderful title to an engaging blend of science fiction and spiritual exploration, challenging us to the true nature of our purpose, a coming-of-age fantasy novel. Malcolm Tilden, a former DC native and reluctant initiate in a Tibetan monastery along with his best friend Aimi train the next generation of initiates. To survive they must embrace a blend of ancient and modern mysteries, joining their heads and their hearts in a shared destiny to bring peace back to their neighborhood-and the world beyond. Together they face off against the sinister Music Man and his reptilian army to fulfill a prophecy as old as civilization. It's a big science fiction fantasy of 436 pages so I took my time with it. The book has a unique plotline, and a very interesting approach to it. The prologue was compelling enough to attract me into reading it. The main themes include fantasy, martial arts, family, friendship, belief and peace. The book has an enjoyable storyline and a brilliant, intelligent setting. The book shall leave readers with a lot to think about. It's entertaining and gripping, insightful and unique. One of its kind. 🌟5/5 The book is on a discount through this link- https://shop.ingramspark.com/b/084?dTKl3aW1g1Lhoy9RQkdcYJxjXVzD5xyAF7Q2HnYr3CT . . . #580 #bookstagram #books #booklover #book #bookworm #bookstagrammer #reading #bookblogger #bookstagramindia #bookinfluencer #influencer #booksbooksbooks #peacetigers #ireadbooktours #davemartelon #sciencefiction #fictionfantasy #fantasynovels #spirituality #indianbookstagrammer #booksta #review #bookreview #readsandmusic #livre #livreaddict

Happy Independent Book Store Day! 📚🔖 The charming little booknook @walkingbookfairs has seen me as a reader in my grizzly beard laze and as a writer in my susheel phase. I love this bookshop so very much despite the number of times their name features on my cc statements! But this is no ordinary bookstore. It is 'literally' a traveling bookshop and library whose founders, Akshaya and Satabdi travel across the State of Odisha and more to little known towns and villages in their customised bookmobile donating books to communities and government schools for them to open up libraries of their own. This isn't a business for them (they admittedly barely break even against the behemoth of Amzn). Just sheer love for books has made them cover distances of >>>> 10,000 kilometres. If this isn't a script for an Indian Romcom version of You've Got Mail, I don't know what is. Please support them! They always have the most eclectic recommendations at the best possible discounts! And recently they have enlarged their SFF shelf (for which I am truly grateful). Do you have a local bookstore you love, too? Tell me in the comments! #indiebookstore #independentbookstore #bookstore #bookstagramindia #independentbookstoreday #bookshop

The excitement and positive awareness about social media-famous books often let me down. I’ve read books influenced by either book-twitter or bookstagram, and most of the time, I’ve had a dull experience. Don’t get me wrong; it’s not that I strive to read only great, award-winning books. I’m over that hoax, and I love my share of trash lit, but there are quite a few outlandishly first-worldish books that I can’t relate to anymore. However, #YELLOWFACE by #RebeccafKuang really impressed me for how approachable the book was. The story about a Chinese literary star and a white literary fraud thrillingly swings between #race and identity and poses a very interesting question: Is it alright for white people to write historical and cultural narratives about people of color? YELLOWFACE had my attention from the get-go. I mean, there’s a possible murder, a literary heist, some tea on the dark secrets of the publishing world, and quite possibly a ghost. I was truly sold on the idea. Throughout the book, Kuang walks us through the loneliness of the green-eyed defeated writer who at one point wanted to unzip the skin of her Chinese-American friend and get into her skin. I mean, she somewhat succeeded in it. On several instances, YELLOWFACE reminded me of the 2017 psychological horror film Get Out and made me realize how wounds of racism cut so deep. I found it interesting how Juniper calls out Athena on her rich background while overlooking her white privileges. A narrative we often see here in India by the upper caste people who dismiss reservation. I came across a recent publishing report where it was said that in the US, 75% of white people get to publish their books, whereas the rest of the 25%, including Blacks, Asians, and other races, are often expected to write about their generational trauma and tragedies. YELLOWFACE is a satisfyingly fast-paced book, a decent popcorn read I never knew I needed until its over-the-top, 80s Bollywood-style climax went down.

B O O K R E V I E W The Kamogawa Food Detectives Genre - Japanese Contemporary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Start by swiping left to see what was on my mind all along, my favourite ramen place @koie.ramen ! ➡️🍜🥢 Disclaimer: Do not read this one on an empty stomach! 😂 The Kamogawa Diner is no ordinary place. The appearance might be off putting but the smell drifting out were enticing. Ran by a former police (now food) detective, Nagare Kamogawa and his daughter Koishi, and a one-liner advertisement in the Gourmet magazine, this place is a road down the food memory lane but only if you can find it! This cosy book is about six different stories, or 6 different people who solved the one-liner advertisement and found this hidden diner. On the first visit each diner experiences an exquisite Japanese meal and while their chopsticks dance back and forth between dishes, they share a story about that one meal they loved in their life and are longing to have that exact taste just one more time. Koishi carefully takes note of the desired dish to replicate and tries to recreate it in 2 weeks, where they want the diner’s first taste to be their own sense of time travelling to those old days! There is always a sense of comfort in Japanese writings. And these cosy, calming yet bittersweet stories are surely about food but more so about the beautiful lost memories. It’s surreal how that one favourite meal can help someone feel comfortable, move on in life, and answer those unanswered questions. And yes, as the cover suggests there is a cat in the diner, Drowsy. Although if you ask Nagare, he would suggest never to have a cat near the kitchen. And I would not call this one a mystery read! Thanks to @panmacmillanindia for this review copy! 🫶🏻✨ #bookstagram #readersofinstagram #bookreview #bookrecommendations #thekamogawafooddetectives #foodbook #bookcommunity #bookclub #booklover #mustread #booksaboutfood #bookstagramindia #bookphotography #bookaesthetic #booksbooksbooks #bookworm #rineereads #panmacmillan #japanesebooks
