Today is Jaime Chung’s 41st birthday. Born in San Francisco, Chung and her older sister are second-generation Korean-Americans as their parents immigrated to the United States in 1980. They ran a hamburger restaurant. She graduated from Lowell High School in 2001 and graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2005 with a degree in Economics. Keiner kennt Stu so gut wie ich es tu. . Nach der unvergesslichen Junggesellenparty in Las Vegas will Stu jedes Risiko ausschließen – er wünscht sich einen unverfänglichen, ganz normalen Brunch vor der Trauung. Allerdings läuft nicht alles so wie geplant. Vegas war Vegas – doch Bangkok übertrifft selbst die schlimmsten Befürchtungen. . Nachdem #hangover eine der kommerziell erfolgreichsten Komödien aller Zeiten wurde, kam #2011 dann wenig überraschend das #sequel .Mit "wenig überraschend" kann man diesen Film wohl am besten beschrieben. Der Film wirkt wie ein abgepaustes Bild des ersten Teils, alles was diesen erfolgreich machte tritt nun in leicht abgewandelter, deutlich derberer Form auf. Das nimmt den Film unglaublich viel von dem Überraschungsmoment, was den ersten noch auszeichnete und das Sehvergnügen so unverwechselbar machte. Auch ist der deutlich derbere, rauere Umgangston definitiv Geschmackssache. Doch dafür gibt es auch wieder sehr sehr viel zu lachen, auch wenn die Gagdichte etwas reduzierter ist und einige Situationen etwas erzwungen sind. Dafür gibt es wieder ein paar extrem Spielfreudige Darsteller, einige abgefahrene Situationen und erneut einen extrem unterhaltsamen Abspann. The Hangover (2009) 🎬 The Hangover Part 2 (2011) 🎬 The Hangover Part 3 (2013) 🎬 I recently re-watched this trilogy so thought I would share some quick thoughts! Part 1 - At the time this was one of my favourite films, I still remember seeing it for the first time and crying with laughter. It still holds up well and is by far the best of the bunch. Part 2 - Sadly it is just a carbon copy of the first film in terms of plot, but in a less interesting location and worse humour. There’s a few laughs to be had but disappointing when compared to it’s predecessor. Part 3 - Shouldn’t even really be called a “Hangover” film, this is more fitting for the heist genre than comedy. However, I enjoy it slightly more than Part 2 just because it did something a bit different. One thing is for certain, this should never have spawned a trilogy, one was plenty! What are your thoughts on The Hangover Trilogy?

Resacón 2: ¡Ahora en Tailandia! Dirección: Todd Phillips Año: 2011 (CRÍTICA CON SPOILERS) Magnífica sucesora de la primera 'Hangover'. No creo que supere a su antecesora, pero creo que llega a igualarla. El nivel de comedia sigue siendo altísimo, y las desgracias que les ocurren son aún más divertidas. Alan es un auténtico capullo del cual te acabas enamorando. Stu es el pobre desgraciado que siempre sale mal parado. Y Phil es la cabeza del grupo, que intenta ponerlo todo en orden (y si puede pasárselo bien, también aprovecha para hacerlo). Doug es el olvidado, y me da pena, porque es un buen personaje. Lo mejor de la cinta es sin duda el personaje de Stu, el mono camello, y el personaje de Leslie Chow, que poco a poco se va convirtiendo en un memorable villano. The Hangover Part II (2011) Without having the grace of the surprise grace movie, this one ages worst as all the jokes were very on the noise. Same movie as the first which worked at the time but watching it so soon after the first made it feed like too much of the same. The shift in country added to the absurdity but not much else. ☝️☝️☝️

🎥 The Hangover Part II (2011)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣🔽⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ After the hugely successful The Hangover movie, a sequel was inevitable. But director Todd Phillips didn’t want to keep the same setting, so they changed Vegas for the exotic Bangkok in Thailand. In the film, after a crazy bachelor’s party, the “pack” wakes up in a dirty hotel room and, once more, can’t remember a thing. So the race begins to find a missing bride’s brother and get in time for the wedding. “We chose Bangkok because it sounds like trouble and it sounds like there’ll be bad decisions made in a city like it.” This decision sparked a new interest in the city, specially because it was really shot, for the most part, in real places. My tour starts in what is probably the most iconic location in the film: the Sky Bar at Lebua Hotel (1055 State Tower). It’s a famous rooftop bar where the gang goes with Mr Chow (Ken Jeong) to meet Kingsley. It’s here where the trio gets desperate in the stairs, with the city in the background. If you’re planning to visit Sky Bar, keep in mind there’s a dress code and drinks won’t be cheap. But hey, you’ll have an awesome sunset view over the city and even an exclusive cocktail called “Hangovertini”! Second stop is Charoenrat Bridge, an historical bridge built in the south city moat. This location is next to the police station, which plays a part in the film when the group goes for clues and brings a monk with them by mistake. They then decide to take the silent monk back to its monastery. That’s my third and final Hangover stop. It was shot far out Bangkok city in a theme park called Ancient City Museum. It’s dubbed as the world’s largest outdoor museum and it’s filled with temples, historic relics and lots of replicas. It’s a great sunday walk for the whole family and it’s recommended to explore it by bike or kart. I also refer to my weekends as hangover trilogies... THE HANGOVER took the world by storm. I often recall it as the first R-rated movie to be released while I was working at the movie theater. I did not see it all the way through until home video, but the audience was wayyyy into the parts I did see. Lots of laughter, tons of applause. The sequels I did get to see upon their release. And the response was.... is "tepid" the right word? The response to the first sequel was but a fraction of tge enthusiasm I saw for the first one, although despite it being largely a retread of the first movie, I actually don't think it's that bad. Then we come to the third movie, which I don't recall ANY enthusiasm for at all. Again, maybe there's some fun to be had with the characters, but it had no effect on any audience at my theater. Pretty much came and went. The direction of these movies was always bizarre... there's an angle of meanness in the second one that gets escalated into the third, but without any improvements or deviation in the comedy, aside from stripping away the elements of the first two, such as the titular hangovers amd their consequences. It's a weird progression of a successful movie.
