It's all about doomed love as usual with Tsui Hark's THE LOVERS. This one is arguably Hark's dreamiest work, and its subdued tone really helps it to stand out amongst his wilder classics. It's strange to me that Hark has never really been en vogue with cinephiles the way many of his Hong Kong peers are as his visual sensibilities and adoration for Chinese folk-motifs are second to none. It's just an astounding work of romanticism and possibly my favorite in Hark's massive filmography. Mini-Crítica/Mini-Review (ESP/ENG): High Risk (1995) Una cinta de acción/comedia inspirada por "La Jungla de Cristal" en la que las peleas están chulas y la mayor parte de los momentos cómicos te hace reír. La mayoría de personajes cumplen bien con su cometido, aunque alguno de ellos/as sobra y algún/una otro/a es mejorable. Jet Li hace un buen trabajo con las escenas de acción, Jacky Cheung hace lo mismo con las escenas de humor, Kelvin Wong es un villano decente y el resto del reparto tampoco lo hace nada mal. Es divertida, aunque no es lo que me esperaba de una película que empieza con un grupo de niños saltando por los aires. An action/comedy flick inspired by "Die Hard" where the fights are cool and the larger part of the comedic moments make you laugh. Most of the characters fulfill their role well, although the film could've done without a couple and one or two of them could be better. Jet Li does a fine job with the action scenes, Jacky Cheung does it with the funny moments, Kelvin Wong is a decent villain and the rest of the cast doesn't do a bad job either. It's a fun watch, albeit it isn't what I expected from a movie that starts with a group of children blowing up. Kung Fu Jungle / Kung Fu Killer / Yī Gè Rén De Wǔ Lín (2014) de Teddy CHAN - 1h40 🇨🇳🇭🇰 Plateforme : Amazon Prime Video La capitaine de police Luk YUEN-SUM (Charlie YEUNG) fait face à une série de meurtres dont les victimes sont tous des experts en arts martiaux tués par un tueur en série, à l'aide de techniques dont eux-même sont les plus grands spécialistes. Hahou MO (Donnie YEN), un expert en arts martiaux emprisonné pour avoir tué un homme à main nues lui propose son aide et dit avoir une idée de qui est le tueur... Cette pépite d'action est portée par Donnie YEN, Charlie YEUNG, Wang BAOQUIANG, Michelle BAI, Alex FONG, Xing YU, Yu KANG et Louis FAN notamment. Globalement, c'est une course poursuite exaltante où nous sommes en présente de scènes de combats impressionantes où à chaque fois une technique différente est de mise. BAOQUIANG et YEN sont très convainquants et le premier a d'ailleurs une superbe interprétation de son personnage. On a ainsi beaucoup de diversité sur les combats qui nous emmènent sur de nombreux décors, dans des éclairages assez sombres et en même temps jaunes-orangés. À mon sens, c'est sans doute l'un des films de kung-fu les plus impressionant que j'ai vu, porté par des acteurs du genre. La musique se fait très présente aux bons moments (absente sur internet...) et le scénario est plutôt sympathique même s'il est relativement simple. On regrettera simplement les scènes dramatique qui ne sont pas terribles. Dans l'ensemble, ce film est vraiment excellent et est à voir absolument ! “Fallen Angels” di Wong Kar-wai È sempre notte ad Hong Kong, una metropoli segnata da un sottile alone di malinconia, silenzio e solitudine che si va ad unire e confondere tra le tante e più disparate luci della città che vede, come nel precedente“Chunking Express”, l’alternarsi di due vicende molto diverse ma simbolicamente altrettanto vicine che sono sviluppate, narrate e meravigliosamente illustraste da un Wong Kar-wai veramente sontuoso. Amare ed essere amati è una necessità che dentro di noi coviamo quotidianamente. Esso fa parte della lista dei principali bisogni di ogni uomo e di conseguenza tendiamo a cercarlo, volerlo ed anche vederlo in ogni coltivabile circostanza che alla mente, anche solo per un secondo, ci fa passare alla testa proiezioni di un futuro felice, un futuro di quelli che da sempre popolano nei nostri sogni e che anche solo attraverso l’immaginazione per un momento ci fa sentire bene ed un un certo senso meno soli… Riuscire però a condividere queste visioni con la persona che ci troviamo di fronte non è purtroppo una cosa scontata.
