So today, commit to getting 1% better at something! Maybe add a few more ounces of water, read for a few extra minutes, intentionally breathe for a few moments, do 10 jumping jacks. Whatever YOUR 1% better is, do it! Movement doesn’t have to be an hour commitment. It can look like dancing in your kitchen, walking the dog, jumping jacks and some yoga movements throughout the day. Fresh vegetable broth is easier than you think! 🍠 🧅🥕😋 I started making this after chemo (wish I knew to make it during treatment!). I make a large batch, strain, pour it in mason jars of various sizes for the fridge and freezer. Current fridge situation is TOO MUCH PLASTIC! I had a Whole Foods delivery this morning. There is waaayy too much plastic in my fridge right now for my liking. 😫 anyone know how to reuse these cold bags??? Paper bags I can use to keep down some weeds in my garden and the small plastic bags we can use for dog waste. Avoiding plastic is harder during #pandemic2020 times. Today is my mom’s birthday. Yesterday, 22 years ago, my mom lost her life to metastatic breast cancer. Lillian and I set the alarm for the sunrise yesterday, thinking it was going to be cloudy and raining but took a chance! ☀️ I am so grateful for this sunrise, the joy and peace it brought to me on an always difficult day. After my own cancer diagnosis I intentionally decided to CHANGE my story. I choose health and well-being every day. That is my “why”. It is now a one-way but as my auto pilot kicked in I didn’t notice the two do not enter signs. I only realized after I got into my parking space. I watched seven other cars do the same thing. I will be honest... I dislike Halloween 🎃 So much plastic, waste, and fake ingredients in candy! The candy makes my kids crazy (food dyes, sugar, and BHT (propane!) Walking into the Halloween store with my kids always makes me feel ill from all the chemicals in costumes. This year I did dress up and went safe for my chemical sensitivities and tried to go eco friendly but caved on the hat. The belt is from 2000, borrowed boots, my clothes, and cotton cow print sewed chaps. Btw, I agreed to this for a Halloween Party with my hubby, which turned out to be a very fun night!
