I’ve been trying to rotate Coco’s toys recently because I read that it encourages creativity and focus, and it also helps my decluttering goals this year. It’s been good so far because she gets excited whenever I bring out new set of toys everyday. Bulk of the toys in our rotation come from @Lovevery. I’ve been very vocal about our love for their Montessori-based toys not only because of the quality, but also they are age appropriate. Something magical happens when you become a mama. The moment you find out you’re pregnant, you immediately put that baby first before yourself. It’s crazy how that works! The love you give to your child is so great that you forget about yourself. When I identify myself, the first thing I say is that I’m a mama. So even if life gets a little crazy, with kids screaming in the background, house a little messy, body a little stretched out, mind a little tired, I can honestly say, I’m happy. We have so much fun gearing up for Valentines. We love to celebrate love and friendship year round in our house. And just like that, she's 3...well, she's been 3 for almost a week buuutttt I've been so IG lazy that I didn't even post on her birthday 🤦♀️. . . Her third birthday week came with a lot of fun...2 family dinners (thank you to NS for still allowing 10 people in homes!), skating for the first time, a new big girl bed (more on that later), and she can now swim on her own with her puddle jumper...or do some form of movement in the water that looks like swimming...ish... . . She is sweet when she wants to be, extra sassy pretty much always, way too smart, hilarious, and keeps me always on my toes. She's the greatest gift God has given me and Chris and I are trying to raise her right with His guidance. . . She's given me more reasons to pray, more reasons to practice patience, several grey hairs, and more joy then I thought possible. Here's hoping we both survive until your 4th birthday kiddo. 🤪 . . A year ago on this day we were arriving in Thailand for our annual winter escape, a trip we won't be making this winter. 😭 I came to terms with the fact that we wouldn't be making our usual trip this winter months and months ago, but today, seeing photos pop up in my archives and in my facebook memories this morning, I was hit by a little wave of sadness, knowing that it'll probably be a while yet before we are making another big overseas getaway.⠀ ⠀ Thankfully winter has been kind to us so far. The kids and I got out for a 9km walk today, enjoying sunshine and bright blue skies, and a daily high 4°C (39°F) weather. I kid you not, it was -40°C (-40°F) with the wind chill around this time last January, so this is definitely a beautiful winter's day worth celebrating! 🌞🧣❄⠀ ⠀ As lovely a day as we had though, I'm still longing for that next big family travel adventure!⠀ ⠀ What was the last big holiday you took? I can't be the only one who needed a break from Instagram recently... When I gave birth in December, I decided to take a break from Instagram for a month (aside from some pre-scheduled posts). It was probably the best thing I could have done! I was finding myself getting really caught up in the stress/competition of Instagram. The need to be perfect all the time and the fear of failure. I'd be scrolling endlessly, wondering why I wasn't doing what someone else was. Stressing over whether my feed was as perfectly curated as the others I was seeing. Worried that I would come across as boring or uninteresting on stories, so avoiding them all together. Too worried a post might “flop” to ever hit submit. This year I’d love to continue to grow my page and community with confidence, while staying as real as possible. To be able to post or story about something I love without self-doubt! One of my goals lately has to be more active as a family, although it’s winter and it’s freezing outside we’ve been spending as much time as possible doing things to keep moving. Puzzle time before nap time🧩 Santiago has been learning so many new things this month and he loves practicing with his @shop.flourishco puzzle! With his little brain developing so much he is also going through his 18 month sleep regression and it’s hitting us hard😴 he has been having a lot more separation anxiety and will only sleep if we put him in our bed or sleep next to his crib🙈 I have literally been sleeping on the floor beside his crib for the past two nights because he usually is a really good sleeper in his crib so I really don’t want to get him used to sleeping in our bed! I think it started on tik tok( not sure I dont have one) but it’s something along the lines of “ tell me you have kids without telling me you have kids.” In my 20s I remember being on a flight with my two besties. A baby crying hysterically behind us and us laughing saying “ feed that baby.” Still to this day when I hear a baby crying In public I laugh thinking of my 20 year old single non kids self. I remember dropping Bubba off at preschool when he was 3. I was a #ftm and all the moms dropping off had multiples and were in #lululemon work out clothes. I thought, so that’s what they are about to go do?! Girl, I get the @lululemon hype. It’s real. And when you see me in workout clothes, maybe I worked out or maybe I just want to be comfy! I get that #motherhood is messy, it’s crazy it literally fills your love tank but 5 minutes later makes you feel like you’re losing your mind. That sometimes you just need to drive to target alone and walk around aimlessly. It’s great therapy. I get that all now 3 kiddos later. 🤣 So tell me you’re a mom with out telling me you have kiddos:

All the 😍 for these two! Lots of change around here. I have decided to close my business so I can spend more time with family. Being back to work in the hospital, managing a business and being a mom to 3 little ones just felt SO busy. Something had to give and I didn’t want it to be the time I spend with my children. I’m a bit sad because I truly loved helping mamas and their little ones but I’m also excited for more free time. Wanna know something funny? I used to love taking pictures like literally I was the queen of selfies. Over the past three or so years I’ve slowly shied away from them more and more. It’s had to do with a lot of things but mostly due to confidence that has quickly faded away. Whether it be my weight, my skin or my hair I have constantly fed myself messages of not being worthy and it has only gotten worse with age. I know I’ve said this often and I have a ton of goals for 2021 but one of my biggest ones is healing my self image and loving every bit of myself even the parts I feel society deems not “good”.
