I am absolutely giddy and over the moon from the phone-call I got today!! The amazing folks at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre called to tell me that after 14 years of being under their tutelage I have completely finished my commitment with the #clinicaltrials and my, for lack of better words, #sabbatical with them!!! I am #finished #done #finito #nevergoingback #outtathere!! 🎉 My lead #oncologist called me personally to congratulate me, let me know that I have influenced treatments with my involvement in the trials, and that my time spent with him has, as of today, has come to an end!! He suggested I pop in to say hi sometime but that he never wanted to see me again professionally!! 😂 🥰 I’m with him on that one!! 👍👏🥰 We did have quite the journey together along with so many of you, my family and friends who have carried me when I couldn’t bear the weight alone!! 🥰❤️ I know there will always be some scares and scars, but hey, 14 years later those wounds are a small #pricetopay for what I have today!!❤️. I have said it before that “I prayed for 50 and was blessed with 60” so I’m gonna go ahead and pray for 80 and plan on being blessed with 90!!! ❤️ Does it #getanybetter?! 🤩 I am blessed, I am grateful, I am loved and I just couldn’t love you all back anymore then is humanly possible!!! ❤️❤️ Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! It amazing how different religion looks like once you get outside of it. When I first started deconstructing, I could only liken my experience to that of growing up inside of a soap bubble in the kitchen sink and being told that was all the world there was. Once I opened my eyes and began seeing all the hypocrisy and abuse and inconsistencies, it felt like I was floating up and out of that bubble. I could see from up above that there were many bubbles in the sink, all populated with people who believe their particular bubble is the whole entire world, the “one true path.” But I could never go back to existing inside one tiny bubble after I had seen the whole picture. And now I can only feel sorry for my family who are all still trapped inside. It officially feels “normal.” We’re doing this plane travel thing again. ✈️ This time, it will be my longest trip in 15 years - basically my entire life. First, it was painful to travel for 2 days. Then, we broached 3. 4 came around the corner, and we survived. But, 5…. 5 seems like a stretch. Well, now we are pushing 8 days of traveling, and, to be honest, it’s scary as shit. You see, I care deeply about my business. I try really, really hard for my clients. So, being out of my element traveling across the country, brings me anxiety. If this were 2 years ago, I probably would have said no. Life gives us what we need… not what we want. This travel is just one of many to come. During this travel, I get to meet and hang out with people who contributed to the free country we live in.
