John Rylands Library 📚 Nestled in the heart of Manchesters city centre is a neo-gothic library built over 120 years ago. The library was built in memory of John Ryland who died in 1888, the following year his wife, Enriqueta commissioned the library to be built. It took ten years to construct and opened to visitors on the 1st January 1900. The building is free to enter and has over 4 million books. De locos el entorno, las torres, la historia de los pirados que han pasado por allí, … el salseo histórico de nuestros Austrias y Borbones es un patio de colegio al lado de lo hijo frutas que eran los Percy y el resto de familias coetáneas. Cómo será el tema que las casas 🐺🌹🦁🐟🫎 de #gameofthrones de R.R. Martin y sus personajes se inspiran en ellos 😂😂. Buscad info que es histo-marujeo rico. 2. Alerta friki 🚨. En este castillo se rodaron escenas de #hogwarts de Harry Potter y de #downtownabbey 3. Nos fuimos a experimentar juegos tradicionales ingleses. Para partirse: tiro con hacha🪓, arco y al plato (láser 😂), cetrería🦉, baile típico, golf, lanzamiento de bota y tronco 🪵(aporto vídeo de lanzamiento perfecto, que tiene que quedarse recto y dar vuelta completa✌🏻) 4. Vuelta a Newcastle.Paseo por el centro admirada por dos cosas: a) La #graystreetnewcastle y b) la inmunidad al frío de las jóvenes autóctonas.Yo con plumífero, ellas con sandalia, tirantes y bien bien de pestaña tupida… Newcastle Shore… tremendos estilismos. El chonismo ibérico en comparación está ready para ir a Royal Ascot. Dicho lo anterior, porque es impactante para mi cerebro lavado, OLÉ ELLAS. Nunca he visitado ninguna región en la que la mujer esté tan flagrantemente libre de complejos autoimpuestos como el norte de Inglaterra. Ni siquiera en LDN es tan evidente. La molla es bella, la vida es bella. 5. Cena y fiesta en el @stjamesparkne1 con visita al estadio vacío. Aunque no seas de ⚽️, la experiencia mola. 6. En nuestros tours libres por la ciudad hemos preguntado a gente random. Casi todos acogedores y serviciales con el turista ❤️. Tienen dialecto propio (el geordie “llordi”) del que no pillo prenda, pero se cambian al inglés nada más les hablas. Conclusión: la gente es estupenda en todos lados y como iguales que somos, tenemos un tonto local, necesario para apreciar mejor la “majura” del resto ❤️
YORKSHIRE DALES. A day which started with fog, then light rain, then heavy rain followed by a stunning sunset. Few weeks back I went to a day photo trip to Yorkshire Dales in North England, which has fantastic limestone sceneries all around. The pristine valleys often intersected by Viaducts, most of which are not operational now. As the day excursion started, the usual England weather greeted us with light rain which turned severe after few hours. The thick cloud cover helped us to create stunning moody shots and some of them are presented here. Not to forget the gorgeous sunset at Ribblehead Viaduct at the end of the trip. Querido #diarioviajero , “abandonaíco” te tengo. Te cuento el 3er día por #northengland que te enfrías. 1. Dejamos el hotel de York y nos fuimos a la catedral normanda s.XI de Durham (pronunciado “daram”), patrimonio de la humanidad, en la que el prota es San Cutberto, que era tan misógino que hasta en la tumba hay una línea que no pueden traspasar las 👯♀️ (mirad 📸 #durhamcathedral). Contiene las 1as arquivoltas dentadas para hacer más livianos los arcos románicos y las 1as cúpulas nervadas en la nave principal (germen gótico). Curiosidad: tiene una aldaba en la puerta para que los perseguidos por la justicia pudiesen “agarrarse” y pasar a ser juzgados por el obispo (que nunca condenaba a muerte) 2. 🥩Comida en rodizio @estabulorestaurants . Estupenda con vistas al río Wear. 3. Visitamos 🏰 #castlehoward en #northyorkshire , la “casita de campo” de la familia Carlisle, de la estirpe Howard. Alucinantes los jardines y un sacrilegio romper la magia albergando una exposición temporal de arte moderno en halls y salones que se carga toda la estética. 🤦♀️ 4. Paradita en el #northangel ,😇 estatua contemporánea de 200 toneladas de poco gusto, 20 metros de prescindibilidad y 800.000 libras de saldo a favor de los ingleses. 5. A dormir a Newcastle,… dormir quien quiera. Vaya vida nocturna!!! 🕺🏻💃🪩Cientos de garitos, pubs, miles de jóvenes por la calle. No titis, a Magaluf no vienen a desfasar… sólo son ellos mismos 😳. Os dejo las vistas del hotel en stories 🥰. Cena en @blackfriarsrestaurant , comedor s.XIII, refectorio de los más antiguos de UK. 6. Aquí también tienen paro y otras prestaciones, pero lo chuli es que en cualquier momento te piden demostrar que estás buscando trabajo, o te ofrecen uno, y si no acreditas o lo rechazas, hasta luego parásitos 👏 7. Es ALUCINANTE la cantidad de chavalitos que trabajan en hostelería. Nos comentan que es habitual que se ayude en casa, ya no sólo por necesidad: por obligación de contribuir (eso también lo pone en nuestro código civil 😉) 8. Aquí no hay incendios forestales, y por cada árbol talado hay que plantar uno. Envidia cochina tengo con la primavera que llevamos en Valencia 😓. Besos ingleses (xx)
🇬🇧 On the road - Yorkshire & Peak District 🚂🐑🌲 ⭐️ ITINERARIO {Salva il post per il tuo prossimo viaggio!} ⭐️ Questo viaggio ci ha lasciati letteralmente senza parole, la bellezza della campagna inglese, delle sue colline costellate dalle pecorelle, i cottage, ed i villaggi che abbiamo visitato ci hanno letteralmente rubato il cuore, è un viaggio che ho sentito nostro e che mi sento di consigliarvi dal profondo del cuore! 🚗 Abbiamo noleggiato la macchina da Manchester con Green Motion ad una tariffa di 178€ compreso di assicurazione per 4 giorni interi 🗺️ La prima notte siccome siamo arrivati tardi a Manchester l’abbiamo trascorsa nell’alloggio trovato su @airbnb il The Alexandra Apartment a Sale, la posizione è leggermente fuori Manchester ma ci serviva solo come base di appoggio per la prima serata, se però volete visitare Manchester vi consiglio comunque di alloggiare qui, il prezzo è basso ed il centro città è comunque facilmente raggiungibile anche con i mezzi in mezz’ora 🐑 GIORNO 1: Abbiamo raggiunto il primo villaggio nel North Yorkshire a due ore di macchina da Manchester, Thornton Le Dale, piccolo e grazioso, il secondo villaggio che abbiamo visitato dopo altri 20 minuti di macchina è Hutton-Le-Hole, anche lui sempre piccolo ma grazioso immerso nelle colline, ci siamo rimessi in macchina e dopo pranzo attraversando il parco nazionale North York Moors National Park, nel pomeriggio abbiamo raggiunto Robin Hoods Bay, un piccolo villaggio di pescatori oramai dedito a case di villeggiatura circondato da scogliere a picco sul mare, ci siamo poi diretti al nostro secondo alloggio 🦄 Il caravan a tema UNICORNI ✨ “Carro dei pastori unicorno, Redcar and Cleveland” trovato sempre su @airbnb nei pressi di Saltburn-By-The-Sea, alloggio spartano ma magico se si viaggia con i bambini, bisogna un po arrangiarsi ma con tanto spirito di adattabilità si può fare ed i vostri bimbi avranno un ricordo unico, ogni caravan nel glamping ha un tema diverso, dategli un occhiata! {ITINERARIO PT. 2 NEL POST SUCCESSIVO} #yorkshire #moorsnationalpark #england #northengland #whitby #visitengland #visityorkshire #travelfamily #travelcouple

Sí #diarioviajero, dos entradas seguidas hoy (he estado haciendo detox de móvil y charlando bastante con el que vive en mi casa, majísimo @raulperez.martinez por cierto 😂) Vamos con el día 2 #northengland ! 1. Ayer fuimos a los #yorkshiredales, las tierras “altas” de por aquí (recuerda que no hay montañas). Todo hipercuqui: casitas de piedra 🏡en aldeas, bosquecillos, caminitos súper cuidados… 2. ⛪️ primera parada #riponcathedral , del s.XII, grande pero no mucho, bonita pero no tanto. Mucha lápida y poco efecto wow EXCEPTO la maravillosa estancia de coro y órgano con una talla en madera tan delicada que recuerda más trabajos de orfebrería que de ebanistería. 3. Me habría quedado 5 horas empanada sentada en una piedra en #fountainabbey . Os garantizo que ni un fraile murió en esa abadía de un infarto. Uno de los monasterios más ricos del s.XII, con unas dimensiones… en fin, que lo de la austeridad no cuela, Fray Peter. 4. Otro fav de mi vida 😂🍺. Visita y cata en una fábrica de cerve, @blacksheepbrewery producto nacional por excelencia. Ahora me gusta más visto el proceso, los ingredientes… Nota curiosa: estamos tan arriba en el globo que en verano los días tienen hasta 20 horas de sol, así que con tanta luz, a veces les da tiempo a hacer varias cosechas de un mismo cereal en l misma temporada 😳. 5. Cena en @thestarinnthecityyork , brasserie al ladito del rio #Ouse que cruza #York. Atardecer merece la pena desde terraza. 😓🐟No paro de preguntarme cómo en una isla no se da más protagonismo al pescado en las cartas (no me refiero al fish&chips, claro). Es, a mi parecer, su enorme tarea pendiente. Os dejo que hoy también estoy de guirivuelta 💃🎒
