Ive come down this morning to the beach hut to get it sorted and i spotted a seal just off the rocks so started to follow it to get a picture. [AD] Did you know @campsitesuk not only host great campsites but great glamping sites too? From pods, to treehouses, lodges and beautiful Shepherds Huts like the one I stayed in this past weekend @morndyke.co.uk just outside of Thirsk near the North York Moors National Park. The Shepherds hut was beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed for a cosy girls weekend getaway. And unlike some shepherds huts the bathroom was inside the hut, which makes a massive difference especially during unpredictable English weather (it chucked it down on Sunday so I was very glad I didn't have to go outside to the bathroom) There are a few huts on the site, but spaced well enough apart to not hear anyone else and I only saw other guests on check in. You have your own outside seating area and BBQ with lovely views across the fields, especially at sunset (see the last image) and a wash house, with washing machines and an honesty box system to buy things like locally made cakes and extra wood for the fire and BBQ. Each hut sleeps up to 3 people. You are a 9 minute drive away from the centre or Thirsk and a 20 minute drive away from the edge of the North York Moors National park. 30 minutes from Knaresborough and about 40 minutes from Harrogate, so it's a great base to explore. Oh and if you love fishing 🎣 they have their very own private fishing lake on site. Overall we had a lovely weekend and even though this is an Ad, I highly recommend this place to stay ☺️ #itsgreatoutdoors

Scrolling this morning and see one of my old homes is for sale. Mixed emotions … so many memories about this beautiful cottage that I called ‘home’ for several years. A bird I'd been looking forward to seeing for a while, but as they are a Welsh and northern England resident it's been hard to catch-up with them. At the weekend we were 2 mins down the road from a spot a pair had been frequenting so it would have been rude not to! The #dipper is our only aquatic songbird, favouring fast flowing streams in which it dives underwater to look for food. It flies similar to a kingfisher, low over the water with fast, constant flaps and if you're not paying attention just a brown blur before it's gone. Similar to wagtails, dippers will often bob up and down when stationary, which is entertaining to watch.
