Every other year I make the trek to Death Valley to ring in the new year, a trend that started 5 years ago. There’s something about the solitude in the remote parts of the park that makes for the perfect reset. Di sekitar prasasti terdapat 2 buah lumpang (bejana dari batu) yang mungkin digunakan untuk menumbuk/menyimpan air, ada bebatuan yang mohon maap aku kurang tau fungsinya. 4 September 2022 — Situs Batu Bale dianggap sebagai peninggalan purbakala zaman batu (megalitikum). Situs yang berada di antara ladang warga ini terdiri atas susunan beberapa batu besar –satu batu lebar datar dengan satu batu besar di ujungnya dan batu lainnya yang berserakan– Kalau untuk sejarahnya sendiri, secara harfiah Bale dapat diartikan sebagai rumah atau bangunan. Nah batu yang ditempatkan pada ujung batu lebar disebut menhir, menhir bisa juga berdiri sendiri tanpa ditumpuk diatas batu lainnya. Biasanya menhir memiliki pahatan pola tertentu (aku ngga melihat adanya pahatan pada situs ini). 11 Juli 2022 — Candi Risan merupakan candi yang berlatar belakang agama Buddha, dibuktikan dengan beberapa bangunan bercorak agama buddha dan adanya Arca Awalokiteswara (emanasi/pancaran amitabha -buddha yang menempati arah mata angin sebelah barat). Arca yang pernah dicuri pada tahun 1982 ini kemudian ditemukan di Singapura dan berhasil dibawa kembali ke Indonesia (saat ini arca tersebut disimpan di BPCB DIY) Candi ini berada di Desa Candirejo, Kecamatan Semin, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul. Awalnya agustus tahun lalu aku pernah berniat mengunjungi Candi Risan setelah penjelajahanku dari Candi Sirih, karena jarak antar kedua candi yang lumayan dekat (kurang lebih 5,6 km) tapi niatan itu gagal karena sedang ada pengecoran yang masih berlangsung sampai sekarang. Candi Risan sendiri merupakan kompleks Candi yang cukup luas jika dibandingan dengan Candi Sirih. Candi ini merupakan kompleks candi hindu yang terdiri dari sebuah candi induk menghadap ke barat (280°) dengan tiga buah candi perwara di depannya, dikelilingi sebuah pagar yang dilengkapi dengan talud serta tangga masuk halaman pertama. Candi ini kemungkinan didirikan pada masa kerajaan mataram kuna yang berkuasa di wilayah jawa tengah dan sebagian wilayah jawa timur pada abad 8 - 10 Masehi. Terdapat arca tokoh dewa, lingga patok (brahmastana), 3 buah kemuncak berbahan pasir tufaan, lingga berbahan andesit serta aneka ragam pecahan tembikar/gerabah polos maupun berhias. Frankston has some really cool places that make our city hum 😉. Sadly, things are a little quiet at the moment, but in these lockdowns, we're also grateful to have natural gems on our doorstep too. They give a chance to take a breather when things feel a little tense or unsettled. 💚💙 Here are some of our local favs for places to get your nature fix 👉 Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve - This 98 acres of beauty was only opened to the public in 2016 after being closed for 95 years! It's a natural treasure trove for walking, jogging or cycling. Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve - With a network of pram and wheelchair friendly tracks, it's a perfect spot to walk for all skill levels. A former military reserve, it has a pretty cool history too! You may even be lucky enough to spot a koala or swamp wallaby... Sweetwater Creek - Not far from Olivers Hill you'll find this hidden oasis. Explore the boardwalks, bridges and creeks. Dogs on a lead are welcome too 🐶🦮 Seaford Wetlands - There is a great cycle/walking trail that extends around most of the perimeter of the wetlands.
