I need a full size mirror 🪞 A six week holiday would also be nice 😂 I can't believe it's already the end of April. This year is going so fast, it needs to calm down. We had hotpot for the first time as a family. It was incredible. The kids absolutely loved being able to cook their own food and eat as much as they wanted. Good wholesome fun. Apparently it’s Kevin Rudd’s favourite when he’s in town! There you go, then. And I wore my new dress from @love_daphne_retro. It’s a stunner. This is what I did this past Saturday on 420, is see Nicki Minaj with my beautiful daughter, her boyfriend Kyle and her friend, Sierra in Detroit. It was so much fun. I remember taking so many things for granted in my 20's and my good health and mobility was definitely one of them. Having a congenital heart condition which has resulted in different cardiac issues, a pacemaker at 35, chronic pain, and other chronic health conditions makes me really engage with the good, positive, and what is most beneficial to my mental well-being. It is vital that we cling onto some morsel of goodness, positivity, an optimistic crumb to hold onto and this concert was mine. I've been looking forward to this day since December, LOL when my daughter called me at 1:30 am asking if I wanted to go with her since she knew I had wanted to go. I was ecstatic and just more pleased that she even thought to invite me. I get so happy about the smallest and grand of gestures. Even the thought always counts in my book haha. Between doctor's appointments, procedures, tests, physical therapy, and working; life is usually a bit challenging haha, but I try my hardest to not complain, so this made me even more thankful. I feel so extremely happy and proud for having such a kind and loving daughter that I have had the pleasure of helping to raise along with my husband since she's been 5. She's a true gift to spend time with indeed. It's pretty cool getting to hang out with your kids as adults, pushing the threshold of 30's....eek, that's a whole other saga. Haha. The concert was 10/10!!! If anyone who knows me knows that R&B, Hip hop and Rap have always been my music genre of choice. I grew up singing Whitney Houston, Michael J and Prince haha, so invite me to any of these types of concerts and I am there!!! 😂 It was fun seeing all the cool outfits everyone had on and so many body-positive plus-size baddies. Możemy je usuwać lub nie, ale nie pozwólmy nikomu wmówić sobie, że owłosienie ciała nie jest aspektem naszej kobiecości i po prostu - bycia człowiekiem. Włosy na ciele są ludzkie, kobiece, naturalne. To, że ktoś ich nie goli, nie oznacza że ta osoba o siebie nie dba. Golenie włosów na ciele nie jest żadnym aspektem higienicznym, to po prostu nasz wybór, preferencja. Każda osoba może zadecydować za siebie i nikt nie powinien być zawstydzany ani za swoją decyzję, ani za swój wygląd. Owłosione łydki i kwiecista sukienka? Czemu nie 😉 To kultura wmówiła nam, że te aspekty się ze sobą kłócą. Że bujnie owłosione łydki są cechą męską. Dla mnie golenie ciała to nie tylko dyskomfort wynikający z wrażliwej skóry i nadmiernej potliwości, ale także traciłam na to za dużo czasu i pieniędzy. Przy szybko odrastających, gęstych włosach, musiałabym depilować się co kilka godzin, żeby zachować idealnie gładkie ciało. Moje podrażnienia na skórze dostawałyby podrażnień. Podziękuję za taką wątpliwą przyjemność 😬 A poza tym, moje owłosienie ciała pozwala mi celebrować moją kobiecość. Skoro włosy naturalnie rosną na moim ciele, nie chcę się ich pozbywać, nie czuję takiej potrzeby. I rozumiem, jeśli ktoś czuje inaczej ❤️ Bo właśnie o to chodzi w depilacji - o wybór. Każda osoba ma prawo do swojego komfortu. Kobiety, mężczyźni, osoby AFAB, AMAB, niebinarne. Nasze ciała to nasze domy, to nam ma być wygodnie - nikt nie powinien nas wyśmiewać, zawstydzać. To nie w porządku, że zawstydza się nas nawet za lekko odrastające włoski, za niedokładnie wydepilowane nogi. Że wiele z nas wstydzi się latem ubrać krótkie spodenki i zapewniać sobie komfort termiczny, jeśli nie mają akurat ogolonych nóg.
