🎬 Back to Black 2024 annonce de nombreux biopic et j'attendais celui-là avec impatience !! J'ai grandi avec ses chansons et je suis heureuse que le cinéma s'intéresse à cette grande artiste. En seulement deux albums cette artiste à fleur de peau a bouleversé le paysage musical et a réussit à marquer des générations entières. Ce biopic prend le parti de se focaliser sur le côté personnel d'Amy. On la voit en famille entourée de musique et d'amour mais on sent qu'au fond d'elle des fêlures profondes (sûrement marqué par le divorce de ses parents) Même s'il y a des raccourcis et des libertés quant à la chronologie de son histoire, le fait que le film illustre les grands moments de sa vie par la traduction de ses chansons et ses passages dans les salons de tatouage reflète complètement l'univers d'Amy Winehouse. En effet, c'est une artiste qui ne chante que ce qu'elle a vécu et qui scelle les moments clés de sa vie sur sa peau tel un livre ouvert sur ses bonheurs et fêlures. Pour moi le bémol de ce film vient du fait que le rôle des deux hommes de sa vie est passé au second plan. Même si on vit pleinement le coup de foudre entre elle et Blake, je trouve que son côté manipulateur et sombre est minimisé et passe à la trappe car il passe limite pour un gentil. Tout comme le rôle de son père qui ici est traité comme un appui alors qu'il a été dans le déni de sa descente aux enfers. Marisa Abela est incroyable dans ce rôle (bien que plus propre que l'originale dans ses moments sombres) et elle a le mérite d'avoir doublé la voix pour la partie musicale (même si les voix sont différentes cela apporte un côté original et plus réel à l'histoire) Même si ce film a quelques longueurs et se permet des libertés d'écriture, je l'ai trouvé réussi et fidèle à l'esprit de cet artiste. Monthly Movie Roundup - After 3 months of what I would call good movie watching months, April was disappointing. 13 of the 19 movies I watched fell below a 7/10 for me. Which means I only really enjoyed just over 30% of what I watched! Not good. I think this has caused me to turn more to shows than I normally do. I quickly worked my way through the 2nd season of Invincible, which I felt wasn’t as good as season 1 but I still really enjoyed it. I’m also staying up to date on Deal or No Deal Island which I’m loving (Go Boston Rob!). And I just started First Man Out which is another survival reality competition show (I love these types of shows). Challengers. Art (Mike Faist) and Patrick (Josh O’Connor) have been best friends and tennis hopefuls since a very young age when Zendaya’s Tashi comes between them and quite literally turns them in to rivals on the court and in the bedroom! I’m not really sure if this was supposed to be a rom com or something else and I don’t think they did either! The tennis live action scenes were really good but the rest of the film was just a bit meh. 🎬 The Challengers "Le feu et la glace" : pourquoi faire un choix quand on peut tout avoir ? C'est la trame de ce triangle amoureux entre rivalité et jalousie sur fonds de compétition professionnelle et de rêves brisés. Zendaya est la parfaite marionnettiste de ce trio et c'est elle qui tire les ficelles de la manipulation entre de ces deux hommes : le feu et la glace, le fonceur et le réfléchi, le raisonnable et le croqueur de la vie, le looseur irrésistible et le gagnant malléable. Pour moi c'est le bon point du film car elle sait être sensuelle et calculatrice, ce qui ajoute une palette à son jeu d'actrice. Mais quand je vois les critiques dithyrambiques je me demande si je suis allée voir le même film ou si je suis passée à côté de l'intention du réalisateur... Je me suis retrouvée devant un film long, ponctué de ralentis inutiles et de musiques qui masquent presque certains dialogues et où il ne se passe pas grand chose au final. Les flash back auraient pu nous éclairés mais cela créé encore plus de confusion sur leur relation. On assiste à un jeu de pouvoirs simpliste sur fonds de guéguerre sportive. Au final le sport n'est qu'un prétexte pour donner de la matière au film qui en manque cruellement, hormis les 20 dernières minutes qui ont le mérite de nous tenir en haleine et qui permettent à elles seules de rendre ce film intéressant. Pour moi ce n'est pas le meilleur film de Luca Guadagnino... Bref j'avais beaucoup d'attente sur ce film et je suis déçue !!
