I snuck an afternoon off work and paid $45 for an IMAX ticket for the full cinema experience for Dune: Part 2. I was too close, packed like sardines with no leg room but was worth it. After Part 1, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) travel with Stilgar (Javier Bardem) and his Fremen troops. They head to the Fremen stronghold Sietch Tabr while carrying out guerrilla attacks on the Harkonens. Stilgar believes in the prophecy and Paul is Lisan al-gaib, the Messiah foretold, whereas Paul is reluctant to fulfill the prophecy planted by the Bene Gesserit. His love interest Chani (Zendaya) isn't a believer but falls for Paul as he ingrains himself in the Fremen way. Angered his nephew Rabban (Dave Bautista) can't control the Fremen, Baron Vladimir (Stellan Skarsgård) replaces him with his younger, sadistic brother Feyd-Rautha (Austin Butler). Timothée Chalamet is fantastic. Gone is the boy fighting for survival, replaced by a man torn between the man he wants to be and the one he fears he'll become. Austin Butler's is cruelty and malevolence as Paul's antithesis Feyd. Stilgar's expanded role is welcome, his faith in the prophecy is undeniable, even if it puts him at odds with the northern Fremen. As is Zendaya's Chani, who falls for the man, not the Messiah. The action sequences are spectacular, guerrilla attacks genius and Feyd's introduction unforgettable. The sound is excellent and cinema rumbles when the Bene Gesserit use The Voice. It's one thing to watch a film, not all you can feel. Part 1 was perfection and Part 2 very nearly is too. At times the third act sprints to the end. The final battle feels more premature conclusion than climax. At just shy of 3 hours, it speaks volumes that I wanted more. I'm hoping Dennis has extra footage for a directors cut a la LotR. And like LotR, Part 2 is akin to the Two Towers, ending with a completely open story arc. Dennis Villeneuve is the best director on the planet and he'd originally planned 3 films. Dűne Második részét először premier előtti vetítésen láttam, egy életre szóló és nagyon fantasztikus élmény volt. Márciusban megnéztem Dűne Második részét feliratosan, Imax, 4DX és, ScreenX formátukban moziban. Imax-ben monumentális, lendületes és pazar látvány és élmény volt megnézni. 4DX-ben nagyon jó és fantasztikus élmény volt megnézni, féreglovaglásos jeleneteket elképesztő volt átélni. Imax-ben és 4DX-ben nagyon éreztem én is filmben a szereplőkkel együtt vagyunk és sodródunk az eseményekkel addig, míg véget ér a film. ScreenX-ben sivatagi jelenetek jók voltak. Hiányoltam azt, hogy nem tudtam ScreenX-ben megnézni Giedi Primemon játszódó gladitáros jelenetet. Történet ott veszi fel a fonalat ahol az első rész véget ér. Paul és az anyja, Jessica csatlakoztak a fremenekhez. A film okosan és ügyesen egyensúlyoz a szerteágazó történetmesélés és az elképesztően látványos jelenetek között. Dűne Második része akciódúsabb, de közben sokkal jobban megismerjük a szereplőket és a motivációikat. Első részben az ármánykodás volt jellemző, itt már minden szereplő nyílt lapokkal játszik. A filmben szépen bontakoznak ki az érzelmek és a misztikum. Paul belső vívódását is nagyon jól bemutatja a film. Paul nem akar Messiás lenni, egy akar lenni a barátaival, és nem vezetni akarja őket. Stilgaron keresztül mutaják be filmben, hisz abban Paul a kiválaszott Messiás, aki a népüket elvezeti a paradicsomba. Chani józanul gondolkodik, nem hisz abban Paul lenne a kiválasztott. Az egész profécia csak arra van, rabszolgává tegye a fremeneket és így uralkodjanak rajtuk. Első filmben Paulon keresztül követhetjük nyomon az eseményeket. Második filmben Chanin keresztül követhetjük nyomon az eseményeket. Dűne Második része, sűrűbb, sötétebb, mélyebb és zavarba ejtőbb, mint a Dűne első része. Történet egyszerre szól egy monumentális konfliktusról és a belső őrlődésről. A filmben minden apró részlet a helyén van, a díszletektől kezdve, az operatőri munkán át a vizuális effektekig. Critique de : Dune : Deuxième partie ⏳️👣🪱🏜🎬 Avant même de poser mon regard sur l'écran, je savais que cette expérience cinématographique serait un défi. Le premier volet m'avait laissé un goût mitigé, et je redoutais de me lancer dans cette suite. Après avoir finalement franchi le pas, je me retrouve face à un résultat qui ne surprend ni ne déçoit : le second volet de Dune, à mon humble avis, ne parvient pas à se hisser au rang d'exception. Je ne qualifierais pas le film de mauvais ou de terrible ; il regorge en effet d'idées captivantes et de scènes visuelles grandioses, notamment celle du vers. Cependant, l'histoire peine à captiver et à entraîner le spectateur, en raison d'un rythme laborieux que Denis Villeneuve a du mal à instaurer. Les longues séquences et les dialogues pompeux alourdissent le récit, bien que la fascination du réalisateur pour les aspects politiques et religieux soit compréhensible. Malheureusement, la narration manque de fluidité et laisse un sentiment d'ennui, accentué par le manque d'empathie envers les personnages, compliquant ainsi l'investissement émotionnel du public. Les scènes d'action ne parviennent pas à convaincre non plus. La première d'entre elles tombe à plat, s'intégrant maladroitement dans l'intrigue et semblant trop forcée. De plus, elle paraît simpliste en comparaison des scènes grandioses et mystiques qui suivent, magnifiées par un travail sonore et musical remarquable. Bien que le film soit très beau dans ses image et qu'il soit techniquement abouti, ces qualités ne suffisent pas à compenser une durée excessive, au rythme plat et peu méritée , aboutissant à un ensemble plutôt fade et peu mémorable, accentué par une conclusion bâclée en moins de dix minutes. ***** #critiquefilm #film2024 #duneparttwo #dennisvilleneuve #zendaya #critiquecinema #suite #etdedeux #desert

RESEÑA de “ DUNA PARTE 2” 🎥 Dirigida por Dennis Villenueve. Elenco: Timotheé Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Broslin, Stellam Skarsgard, Dave Bautista repiten sus papeles con las nuevas incorporaciónes de Austin Butler, Christopher Walken y Florence Pugh. Pocas secuelas hay superado a sus originales ( Terminator, Aliens, El señor de los anillos: las 2 torres etc). La cinta supera, mejora y profundiza su relato con intensidad absoluta, sin perder el eje de su poderosa historia. El director logra que la adaptación del famoso libro de Frank Herbert, sea fiel, respetuosa y una obra maestra de ciencia ficción! Paul Atreides (Chalamet) y su madre (Ferguson) se integran a los Fremen. Mientras sostienen la profecía y promesa de un futuro paradisíaco para el pueblo que los adoptó, diagraman la venganza por el asesinato de Leto Atreides. Inevitablemente, ambos caminos se conectan, y Paul se ve obligado a fraccionar su persona para ser mesías y justiciero implacable al unísono. Su doble personalidad le trae numerosos conflictos con los otros y con él mismo. conocemos a fondo a los Atreides restantes y atravesamos el decoro de formalidad que ocultaba su verdadero carácter en Dune y alcanza su verdadero potencial en el desvelamiento de la crueldad de la Casa Harkonnen. Si el pueblo Fremen los caracteriza como combatientes épicos, el de los villanos de la saga los detalla como auténticas bestias sanguinarias. Destacándose Austin Butler como (Feyd-Rautha), en un magnífico rol secundario. También brillan, el veterano Christopher Walken ( el emperador) y Florence Pugh ( Irulan Corrino). Timotheé Chalamet, Zendaya y Rebecca Ferguson parecen haber nacido para interpretar estos papeles, por su madurez, complejidad y seriedad intuitiva! • Todo encaja perfectamente : efectos especiales realistas y muy bien conseguidos, el diseño visual simétricamente hace simbiosis y se une la magistral banda sonora compuesta por Hans Zimmer!
