All snacked up! While I enjoyed the unique and rather hilarious experience of teaching puppy yoga classes (with seven completely gorgeous Dalmatian pups) this morning, K did a grocery run. Post-lunch compote-making session done. While that was simmering away (pears, plums and apples) I made these beauties. The colder weather can make us both feel like a bit of a snack is required - these will be a great fix. Sesame seeds, walnuts, dates, cacao nibs and orange - a satisfying winter pick-you-up. Sticky sesame chicken 🐔 Fake-away-Friday! This better-than-takeout, 40 minute sticky sesame chicken is so ridiculously delicious. To make this recipe gluten free, replace the cornflour and soy sauce with gluten free versions. To save time, you can prepare and cook your chicken while the rice is cooking. Cookbook: Meals in a Flash
The perfect Date Night-In dessert. Choc covered strawbs 🍓 Line a tray with baking paper or use your oven Thermomat. Chop your chocolate for 10 seconds on speed 10 if you need to. I used Callebaut dark callets & skipped this step as they are small enough. Melt 150gm for 3 minutes/50°/speed 2. Dip strawberries straight into bowl and pop onto lined tray. When you have dipped all strawbs, put in fridge to set. Tip: use strawbs straight from the fridge so the chocolate hardens quicker... so you can eat them sooner. Extra tip: when you're done, add 250ml of milk to your thermomix and heat milk for 5 minutes/80° /speed 3 to make the chocolatiest hot chocolate ever! That is a dessert and hot chocolate and you've only got a bowl & lid to clean up. And with the pre-clean mode, there's not much cleaning involved at all. Winning!!
