Feeling this quote so much lately. 48th chemo and 42 targeted therapy infusions this weekend. Nausea, barfing, and chemo headaches seem to be the current norm shortly after treatment. #imnotafan Scans are scheduled for next week. As long as there is no growth I can have another 3 week break. I didn’t think an extra week would make such a difference but it totally did and I am so hoping for another one. I also have fun summer plans that were made with my previous chemo schedule in mind that can’t be moved and that I will miss out on with this current schedule. Extra prayers and good thoughts for good scans would be so appreciated!

Thanks to my gf, I was FRONT ROW at the @lionelrichie concert in Philly last night. Bucket list item has been checked off but this concert was so much more than that. Hands down this was the best concert I've been to! This man is 74 years old and when I tell you he has not aged in decades, that is an understatement. If Jacki Vanderhoef did not make sure she was the flictographer I would have no documentation of this amazing night. I was in awe from the moment he took that stage. I never even looked at my phone and that in itself speaks volumes. I also don't want to brag but I will. Yours truly got to duet Lionel as a Diana Ross fill in for "Endless Love." 📚 REVIEW: I'M A FAN 📚 • The halfway through review • This is written in such a frantic way, with lots of coma splicing and never-ending sentences, which is certainly effectual in making you feel breathlessly manic – just like the protaganist herself. From around page twenty, however, this became quite tedious. Take a breath, woman. 🤫 The divisive, generalised portrayal of 'white' as being London-rich, unfeeling, rude, organic fruit buying, fake and famous-for-nothing is, perhaps, a deliberately hyperbolic caricature of white privilege, but it still stings. The narrator swings between political rants to professing an unhinged obsession with a no-good narcissist, making her notion of right and wrong seem rather questionable. She is desperately unlikeable. There is very little plot, and I am struggling to plod on... Nevertheless, this is an eye-opening, well written novel and it is rarely a bad thing to be pushed beyond your comfort zone and see new perspectives, so I will keep reading (however joylessly) 🙁 • Overall review • Nothing actually happens! I thought about not posting this but here we are.... I always have mixed feelings with Mother's Day. I usually stay away from social media on that day because of it. I love being a mom please don't get me wrong but Mother's Day is a no for me. I don't take the day off from motherly duties, I don't ever ask to be alone, I don't ask for a gift. Society has even done a fantastic job of making it seem normal for a mom to ask to be left alone by the children she created. Mother's Day is mixed emotions for me. I love letting people in my life know what a wonderful mama they are on such a day but I also hope I encourage them even more than just one day. I lost my mom unexpectedly 5 years ago. We weren't on the best of terms when she passed so there is a lot of regret that the relationship wasn't mended but I also remember mother's day being a very stressful day for me because of what she expected. I know moms who are reminded of their loss or wishes of being a mama and this day brings alot of pain and I hate that for them. Or I see women "flaunt" about motherhood but don't shed a single ounce of gratitude on Father's Day for their husband, father, men who are trying to conceive with their wife, adoptive fathers, step fathers, dad's who have lost dads, dads who have lost children and that REALLLY bothers me.
