On todays fullmoon, at 11h11 we kicked off round 2 of Moon to Moon🌕 I am more than happy about this formula which is the essence of what I believe in after 40 years of bodywork, on the quest for balance, far away from seeking for perfection or beauty. Dzisiaj tak jak planowałam wjechało Office Body oczywiście od @codziennie_fit 💪🔥 To był bardzo przyjemny trenio i melduję, że udało mi się zrobić 3,5 powtórzenia trzeciego bloku. Całkiem nieźle, ale postaram się następnym razem zrobić 4! 🙂 Co prawda dzisiaj miałam lenia i czułam pośladki po wczorajszym ich kolędowaniu z użyciem mini bands, ale jak już się ubralam w strój sportowy to już nie było wymówek i głupio było nie odpalić treningu. 😜 Ale jednak udało się! Hejka ❤ Ufff... Did you know that good thoracic mobility is vital for the NECK, LOW BACK and SHOULDER GIRDLE to function normally?🤔 💮Thoracic spine and ribcage position dictates the function of our shoulder girdle and torso. In today’s society rounded shoulder/forward head is a common postural fault. Driving, working on computers and texting on cell phones all contribute to this dysfunctional posture, sometimes referred to as office posture🤷🏼‍♀️ Poor postural alignment and movement in the upper spine creates:👇 🔹Neck pain brought on by excessive forward head position 🔹Back pain due to poor spinal mobility 🔹Stiff, achey, or constantly beat up shoulders 🔹Really bad weight lifting technique ✅In ideal alignment the head floats over the shoulders, the shoulders are open and in line with the ribcage, the ribcage is stacked over the pelvis, the pelvis is in line with the knees and the knees track over the second and third toes of your feet. ☝The body is able to hold this ideal alignment with a minimal of energy expenditure and stress. When we don’t have this alignment the body must work hard to keep upright not to mention the daily activities we ask it to do. This lack alignment decreases mobility, inhibits sports performance and can cause neck, shoulder and back pain or injury. 💥Do this test to assess your thoracic mobility: 1⃣ Lay on your back, knees bent, feet on the floor, 2⃣ Reach your arms up to the ceiling and then overhead trying to bring your arms in line with your ears, 3⃣ Your low back should not arch and ribs should not pop toward the ceiling. One great thing about working and schooling from home is that we have more control around our movement habits. My son has a crazy tight back line (thing hamstrings, back, calves) from being a little on the low tone side since birth. He tends to sit in his joints and slouch and there’s not a ton we can do about it when he’s at school all day. When I first had him try the calf stretch even with this low mat (while playing his favorite math game) he complained that it hurt too much, but we backed off and mixed it up with the soft ball and by the end even he was impressed with how different it felt. He even said it felt better to do his favorite parkour moves during our movement break afterwards. I’m curious how much we can change while we are schooling at home. Next step will be hamstring lengthening while playing video games😉 Grownups working from home can get a whole body benefit from setting up a similar “foot playground” while at a standing desk or on the phone. Igår fik jeg tilsendt det her billede fra et stort Sennheiser event sidste år, hvor jeg guidede 150 mennesker igennem en Mind Your Business session. Det var vildt at stå dér foran et hav af mennesker! Og så blev jeg helt nostalgisk, for det er nok ikke liiiige noget vi kommer til at se igen foreløbigt. Eller måske er det grundet de stramme foranstaltninger🤞🏽 • Men nu når det er som det er og der pludselig er plads og tid til tanke sætter det virkelig skub i ting. For der er ingen tvivl om at vi mærker krisen økonomisk her hos os. Store virksomheds events vi skulle deltage i er udskudt med flere måneder. Det gør nas. For ikke at tale om andre mindre planlagte events, workshops, og vores regulære firma sessioner ude i virksomhederne. Ja det gør nas. • Men som alt andet bringer denne situation også forandring og en måde at tænke anderledes på, så vi tester for første gang det virtuelle space ud ift. vedligeholdelse af vores ugentlige guidet virksomheds sessioner. Noget vi har tænkt på længe, men ikke har haft tid til at teste, så nu gør vi det!
