I have the post-Disney blues! 🥺 We only spent one day in Magic Kingdom (it was a a test run for us; my first adult visit and the first for my son) and 2 nights at the Ft. Wilderness cabins. We followed up with 3 nights at Madeira Beach, which we also did last year, but sadly after Disney, it didn’t hit the same at all. We tried to make the best of it, but we longed for more time at the park(s). Now I’m home, and the biggest comfort (aside from the memories of course) is being among my full perfume collection. For some seratonin I’ve layered classic Velvet Petals with Viva La Juicy Sucre. VLJ Sucre is a whipped cream and almond take on the original’s super sweet candied floral. I feel like VP is the perfect layering partner. It’s giving me Disney princess vibes, which is what I’m channeling now…until I start planning the next trip! Disney World: See ya real soon! 🍭💫🎀

Well, it has been a week, and I'm firmly in the post RunDisney blues. Last week was the expo, and honestly, the expo may be one of my favorite parts of the weekend. One tip: If you have the time, I highly recommend hitting the expo the second day to get some fun pics. Day one is very hectic with lines EVERYWHERE! I went back to the expo day two with @jdion1122 @jcard83 and @noolrunnings to grab bibs. We had a blast with no lines for photos. The castmembers don't feel as stressed and with no one waiting are more able to spend that quality time to make the photos special. Even the runDisney volentees came out from behind their desk to pose with me under the sign that happened to be my bib number 20500. 54 days until Marathon Weekend
Another amazing time in the Disney bubble. What is it about going to Disney and disconnecting from the rest of the world? Absolutely exhausted but we ran our first family RunDisney 5k and I finished our the RunDisney weekend with the challenge (10k/half). We spent so much time with dear dance friends doing workshops, performing and taking in the park magic together. We started our trip at the last Halloween party of the season and ended it with the first Frozen Holiday Surprise castle show ❤️. I bought these tickets months ago not realising they were on the same day as Jayce’s half time event at the Gabba, so to say it was a full on day is putting it lightly! We had literal front row seats, my phone died before the intermission so couldn’t get too many photos, but we embraced the Disney magic yet again and Jayce had an absolute ball! Part of your world… My post Disney blues are Monday blues but elevated so seemed like the perfect day to share this one. This book is the pick me up everyone needs. Alexis and Daniel both have family pressure to follow a set path, when Alexis literally crashes off the path things take a turn. I love the development of Alexis; you see her make connections and realisations that it is time for her to take control of her own life. There are parts of the story where you don’t necessarily like her ie the Girls Trip but then she gets it. It’s real, I guess- we are all flawed and it just makes you cheer more when she gets it. Daniel flies the flag for the perfect book boyfriends, thoughtful, caring and mature; despite being ten years younger than her. He made me hold my breath right at the end but to find out why you’ll have to read it. Small town joy, comedic writing, quality friends- his friends made me laugh from the start. This is my first Abby Jimenez book but it definitely won’t be the last. I paired it with a Prosecco because I felt Alexis deserved the cheers of females worldwide- she maybe from a Champagne background but learns that Prosecco has its place too! This one is from the Tesco Finest range and was super lovely sat looking out to sea. Beach and bubbles; perfect for such a bubbly read. Set between a big city and small town, where would you prefer to live?
