"Satanic Panic", bara "Panic" eller "Delivery Macabro", från 2019, i regi av Chelsea Stardust. Samantha (Hayley Griffith) får jobb som pizzabud, och den sista körning hennes första dag blir ut till ett exklusivt villaområde en bit utanför stan. Tyvärr visar sig kunden inte bara vara snål med dricksen, utan också ingå i en satanisk sekt som just denna kväll samlats i huset Sam kört till, för att offra en oskuld och på så vis återföda Baphomet. De har emellertid tappat bort deras oskuld, men när de får se okyssta Sam får dom en idé... När jag där i våras nån gång fick ett mindre flyttlass film skänkt till mig, låg den här i en av alla kassar. Kände inte till den alls, men tyckte den verkade rätt skön. En satanisk sekt, praktiska effekter och ja, den kunde nog bli kul att slänga på! Fast nä, det var den ju inte. Alls. Helvete vilka grava tonproblem den lider av. Den ser ut och känns väldigt billig, karaktärerna känns inte trovärdiga eller... ja, färdigskrivna. När det ska bli kul blir det aldrig mer än lite småfyndigt, och skräckelementen blir aldrig vare sig läskiga, spännande eller äckliga. Tyvärr hade jag nog mest tråkigt med denna. Synd på en annars rätt kul premiss.

X-MEN is a film from 2000 written by David Hayter and directed by Bryan Singer. It tells the story of two mutants who are saved after an attack and join a private academy where the superhero group the X-MEN resident there, who then have to fight against another mutant with similar powers. I love these characters and seeing them in a live action form from this film was awesome. From Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Sir Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, and Sir Ian McKellen’s Magneto, everybody plays these characters in their true form and don’t disappoint whatsoever. Bryan Singer’s direction in here is solid and the writing is good here from Hayter. It’s a great introduction to a group of characters we haven’t been introduced to in its live action form. TV renewal news. Paramount+ has renewed Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for Season 4, the website TVLine has learned. The show is currently in production on Season 3, which eyes a 2025 debut. This is by no means a “good” movie, but it’s so badass and I have a lot of nostalgia for it. It really doesn’t have much to do with the comic book character of the same name (we thankfully get that in the Netflix show and in War Zone), but just taken as a straight-up, no holds barred action movie... it’s pretty entertaining. #ThomasJane certainly looks the part and he’s excellent at brooding about for a couple hours. The villains are somewhat laughable - being over-the-top mustache twirlers full of cheese. #JohnTravolta is hamming it up and I kinda dig it. The score has a very classic feel to it and gets me hype whenever it comes on. It also has an EXCELLENT turn of the century alt rock soundtrack that I owned on CD and would happily buy on vinyl should they ever release it. The action is the obvious standout and it’s pretty great. It opens with a brutal execution of an entire family, but thankfully gets more “fun” as the movie goes on: from an all-too-short (but still exciting) car chase with a tricked-out Pontiac GTO, the iconic fight with the Popeye-lookin’ Russian beefcake, and a final showdown where Castle just waltzes up to the bad guys place and wrecks shit. Punishment.” . 20 years ago today, for me, one of the best Marvel and comic book movies in general was released. I absolutely love this one. Thomas Jane (again, for me) played the role of Frank Castle perfectly. I think he portrayed the role of a tortured man who lost everything and took out his brand of justice on those responsible to a tee. As much as I love Jon Bernthal in the role now, for me Thomas is the perfect Frank Castle. John Travolta is also great here, even if his performance is a little OTT at times. On this day 20 years ago, #ThomasJane stepped up into the role of #FrankCastle and unleashed punishment on #JohnTravolta’s #HowardSaint and his family in the 2004 film adaptation of #ThePunisher 💀 Released in US Theaters on April 16, 2004 by Columbia Pictures - the movie is loosely based on the origin story of the #MarvelComics character as depicted in #PunisherYearOne, the works of #GarthEnnis, and takes inspiration from the art and style of #TimBradstreet. This #JonathanHensleigh directed film came out the same year as #SpiderMan2 and was during the pre- #MarveStudios days when comic book movies were just starting to be produced into big Hollywood film projects. Jane is the second actor to play the role after Dolph Lundgren did before him, and he would later be succeeded by the late Ray Stevenson and Jon Bernthal. Personally I liked this film a lot, and Tom Jane’s depiction of Frank Castle as a former FBI officer turned into a vigilante seeking to avenge his family’s death by The Saints was simple and easy action film viewing. I even got the #MarvelLegends figure based on Tom Jane’s likeness (not the one pictured here) - produced by ToyBiz and an action figure way ahead of its time. The movie even featured #RoyScheider as Frank’s father and #KevinNash as The Russian enforcer, and #RebeccaRomijn of #XMenMovies fame co-starred as Frank’s apartment friend and love interest Joan. He even gets to take out John Travolta’s Howard Saint in the most brutal and satisfying way possible. Too bad this never got a true sequel, but Jane would return to voice the role in the PS2 video game “The Punisher” as well as do a fan film playing the character in #DirtyLaundry. @aaronastanford appreciation!! Aaron played Pyro in 2 X-Men films. He’s returning to the franchise 18 years after his last appearance, for a role in Marvel’s DeadPool 3. Aaron and Rebecca had no lines to one another, and yet their onscreen relationship was very well emulated. Mystique is quite motherly towards Pyro, she embraces him. X2: X-MEN UNITED In my opinion, the 2nd X-Men film is superior in almost every way to the first. Yes, Scott, and therefor James Marsden, is still really underused and even though Storm gets more to do, Halle Berry is still a bit wasted. But besides this and some other minor quibbles, I love this film. It has a great villain in Brian Cox as William Stryker. Who is genuinely a threat to every mutant out there and is cleverly linked to multiple of our main characters. In this way he is boy a personal and psychological villain and a villain who has plans on a broader scale because he wants to wipe out all the mutants. One of my favourite things in stories is when heroes and villains have to work together to face off with an oponent that threatens them all. Then you come to the "an enemy of my enemeny is my friend". In this case the X-Men have to work together with Magneto & Mystique which makes for some great interactions. Mystique is such a cool character, and this film uses her best in live action probably. She uses her powers to the max and it's so cool to watch. Rebecca Romijn was really amazingly well cast in this. Ian McKellen as Magneto will always be iconic and one of his coolest moments here is his prison escape. The other cast members are all great and all feel more comfortable in their roles, which makes for a better viewing. The best new addition is Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler. What a charachter and one of the coolest introduction scenes in a comic book film. VFX is much better and John Ottman's score is great and he wrote a theme that I'm glad got reprised during later films, because it's a really strong one. X-Men: The Last Stand | Movie Review The human government develops a cure for mutations, and Jean Grey becomes a darker uncontrollable persona called the Phoenix who allies with Magneto, causing escalation into an all-out battle for the X-Men. What was originally the end of the X-Men franchise back in the day, I thought it was kinda disappointing. But on revisit, I really liked it. Yes, it does feel a fair enough different from the quality of the previous two films and they do kinda short change some of the characters. Such as, Cyclops, Angel and Mystique. They also kinda alter Xavier and Magneto again with more flawed behaviors and motivations. But I think this film still really works. It's got some good action set pieces, a solid plot, some emotional weight and development with Storm fitting into team leader. But a big stand out was Kelsey Grammer as Beast, he was awesome and stole each scene he was in. The finale itself was fun and you do feel a sense of finality to it as well. I liked the Cure aspect because it really stirs the pot of both sides of this ongoing war with humans and mutants. I do wish Nightcrawler returned from X2 but hey, still got my fun here.
