📚 𝑺𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓 𝑻2 : 𝑺𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓 𝒆𝒕 𝒍𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐̂𝒎𝒆 📚 J'avais bien aimé le premier tome, alors quand le second est paru, il était évident que je le lirais, même si je me souvenais pas des masses de ce qui s'était passé. Skandar a découvert que sa mère était encore vivante et que c'était la pire criminelle de l'île. Pourtant, il ne l'a pas encore dit à sa sœur, craignant qu'elle ne souffre plus que de ne pas avoir de licorne. Lors de son entrée en seconde année, une prophétie est prononcée annonçant la destruction de l'île par les éléments. Tous sont persuadés qu'il en sera l'auteur, alors Skandar va tout faire pour sauver l'île qu'il aime tant. Dans un même temps, sa sœur, Kenna, va souffrir plus que jamais de ne pas avoir de licorne et va voir la possibilité d'en avoir une s'ouvrir à elle. Si le premier tome posait l'univers, celui-ci nous le détaille plus en profondeur, notamment l'île et son histoire, sa création, celle de l'école, le premier dresseur de licorne etc. Nous en apprenons également plus sur les pouvoirs de Skandar. Il est encore plus puissant qu'on ne pouvait le penser et j'ai vraiment hâte qu'il mette ces pouvoirs en action ! L'amitié entre le groupe d'amis est mise à rude épreuve à cause de la réputation du héros. Il va être temps pour lui de découvrir s'il s'est bien entouré ou non. Les intrigues sont prenantes, même si celle sur la prophétie de l'école était prévisible, ce n'était pas le cas de celle de Kenna qui ne se termine d'ailleurs pas dans ce tome. Je me demandais sincèrement si Skandar allait parvenir à l'aider ou si tout allait mal tourner. Le dernier chapitre met l'accent sur le suspense quant au troisième tome qui fait que j'ai très hâte de le lire ! Єдинорогами не місце в казках, вони частина ваших кошмарів. Принаймні так, автор подає нам знайомство із цими істотами у своїй книзі і переконує, що це жахливі та кровожерливі істоти, яких можна приручити, але й тоді вони дуже небезпечні. Скандер та викрадення однорога. А.Ф.Стедмен🦄 Щоб затягнути читача у власний вигаданий світ і залишити там надовго, автору потрібна особлива книга: своїми героями, світом і зрозумілою, або добре поясненою сюжетною лінією. І я очікувала, що саме ця, такою і буде: пригоди, герої, єдинороги, перегони, остання надія. Спочатку мені було навіть цікаво. Що за магія стихій, бо саме слово "магія" автоматично робить мене зацікавленою. Чи справді Скандер той самий герой? А як взагалі все усталено в тих єдинорогів, хто вони такі і яке їхнє походження? Герої мені здалися дуже симпатичними, а стрімкі перегони і елементарна магія, додавали своєрідного шарму історії. Не скажу, коли я від неї втомилася і в який момент все посипалося. Чи коли я зрозуміла, що автор використовує давно заїжджений шаблон для успіху. Один обраний троп, заборонена магія, сюжетні повороти із загубленими родичами. Я ніяк не могла перестати порівнювати цю книгу з Гаррі Поттером і Персі Джексоном. В даному випадку, це порівняння було невідворотним і не на користь книги про єдинорогів. Разом з тим, у намаганні зробити розповідь динамічною, автор зробив так, що у книзі одночасно відбувається багато подій, що ніби й ок, але сюжетні дірки у ключових моментах історії, він чомусь залишив без пояснень. Абсолютно точно, якби я прочитала цю історію в підлітковому віці, я була б в дикому захваті. Бо поза тим, що я як буркітлива бабка, знайшла купу недоліків цієї історії, вона справді варта уваги. Бо як не крути, але кілька героїв книги, мені все ж дуже сподобалися. p.s. Кажуть, в young adult literature книги часто схожа одна на одну, так ось цей то випадок. p.p.s Але я не можу не відмітити просто фантастичне оформлення від @ranokcomua воно надзвичайно красиве і якісне! Тому, попри те, що книга мені не зайшла, вона абсолютно точно залишиться на полиці... ⁉️Розповідайте, хто читав? Як ваші враження? Може мені досить читати фентезі, бо щось якось воно 🙈? #escape_books

мені, направду, ніколи особливо не подобалися однороги, хоча з одним навіть мала світшот. тепер, коли я прочитала "Скандера.." я розумію чого мені в них не вистачало. однороги для мене хоч і допитливі, розуміючі істоти, але дуже норовливі з дрібкою величі і, можливо, зневаги (знаєте, як у котів буває). а якщо сюди додати ще й кровожерливість? от тепер одноріг перестає бути банальним і зацікавлює більше! саме про таких однорогів, що буквально є крилатим жахом, пише авторка. підліток Скандер завжди мріяв стати вершником однорога. і коли хлопчик сягає того віку, за якого можливо спробувати скласти іспит (а це 13 років) та відчинити браму до Розплідника (саме там знаходяться яйця з однорогами), життя починає набирати обертів, бо все складається не так як він собі гадав. зрештою, Скандер потрапляє в академію, знаходить свого однорога Талана Пройдисвіта, а ще друзів. та окрім цього з'являється надто багато таємниць, які треба розкрити, щоб зроуміти і самого себе. мені ця історія була дуже ностальгічною. я постійно згадувала поттеріану. тут так само є магічний навчальний заклад, розподіл про факультетах, точніше приналежності до провідної стихії, випробування, коло друзів (тільки тут їх четверо), антагоніст, з яким пов'язаний головний герой. і це не мінус цієї історії. що мені ще сподобалось? • магія стихій — кожен вершник та одноріг має свою провідну стихію: вогонь, повітря, вода, земля і... ще одна, про яку я не скажу жодного спойлерного слова. власне, вершники є тими, хто вчаться спрямовувати цю магію стихій через однорогів. • особливості однорогів — вони прив'язані до вершників, народжуються в один день з ним та чекають 13 років, поки вершник прийде відкрити браму. якщо вершника немає, однороги стають дикими, живуть вічно, але нагадують розкладених смердючих зомбаків 🙈 • легкість історії, її завершенність. звісно, перша книжка це лише початок масштабної пригоди Скандера, але відчуття фіналу і завершення саме цього епізоду з помітним натяком на наступний присутнє. п.с. ми з @jannei._ разом читали книжку і так сталося, що обоє заговорили про те, що хочемо фото з однорогами. тому дякую тобі за натхнення, Янчику, і все ж, що змусила публікувати їх ❤️
Happy birthday to the amazing drummer, percussionist, songwriter and former member of The Humperdinks, The Dharmas and their later alias Steadman who has collaborated with artists like Barbara Dickson, Troy Donockley and most importantly with his longtime creative companion and friend Midge Ure since 2000, nowadays as a member of his band Band Electronica alongside Cole Stacey and Joe O’Keefe besides recording and touring with their India Electric Co., releasing his own darkly funny song and music video as a response to the second lockdown in 2020 and always staying busy, the family man with a witty sense of humour and a passion for his musicianship, fishing and travelling, the likeable, talented and kind Russell Field! Through his work with Midge Ure whose work, as one of my all time favourite artists and voices, is implanted in my DNA thanks to my mum and India Electric Co. whom I instantly fell for upon discovering their music after seeing them live as a part of Band Electronica, he has contributed to important parts of my life and its accompanying soundtrack that have been through thick and thin with me, providing a sense of home, emotional support, comfort, familiarity, nostalgia, inspiration, intrigue, pleasant, uplifting and joyful qualities at all times. Забудьте все, що ви знаєте про однорогів, тому що зараз мова піде не про створінь з веселковим розмалюванням шерсті та добродушною аурою навколо! Мова піде про норовливих створінь, які повʼязані з магією стихій 🔥 Однак ця магія не найголовніша, адже найцінніший зв’язок в житті однорогів – звʼязок зі своїми вершниками, якими можуть стати 13-річні підлітки після того, як пройдуть іспит, що є їхнім квитком до Брами Розплідника. І тільки якщо її вдасться відчинити, знайти яйце та допомогти однорогу зʼявитися на світ, у підлітків є шанс стати вершниками та навчитися керувати магією разом з однорогом. Саме такий шанс ледь-ледь не втратив Скандер. Адже була вся ймовірність, що він далі лишиться жити на Материку разом з батьком та сестрою, так і не потрапивши на Острів, щоб знайти свого однорога. Однак доля опиняється на його стороні: окрім свого одногорога на ймення Талан Пройдисвіта, він знаходить друзів, яких у нього ніколи не було, а також купу таємниць, повʼязаних з його силою та минулим. Ця історія як захопила з перших сторінок, так і не відпускала до останніх! Головна причина тому – ностальгія за підлітковими читанням однієї з моїх улюблених серій того часу – «Персі Джексон та Олімпійці». Сюжети цих книг різняться, однак емоційно протягом читання «Скандер та викрадення однорога» я ловила флешбеки до пригод в Таборі Напівкровок. Неможливо передати словами, яку насолоду я від цього отримувала 🥹 Настільки, що готова заплющити очі на дещо поверхнево прописану лінію з антагоністом та його мотивацією. Можливо, то я вже як доросла чіпляюся [все ж таки серія позиціонується як дитяча], але тут мені хотілося більшої пропрацьованості. А ось від змалювання дружби між Скандером, Боббі, Фло та Мітчеллом, які представляють як різні стихії, так і максимально різні характери, а також їхньої взаємодії з однорогами, моє серце тануло 🤎 Перша книга – це тільки початок великої шаленої пригоди. І я вже в очікуванні продовження від @ranokcomua! А поки сміливо рекомендую цю книгу не тільки підліткам, а й дорослим, які засумували за підлітковим пригодницьким фентезі.
