"You can't be brave if you don't get scared." Before I start my review let me warn you this is a dangerously addictive book. The Mapmakers is the second book in this series and the book became far more fascinating than the first part The Hatmakers. This is the best YA fantasy series I am reading after Harry Potter, HP lovers can read this book. The map, Cordelia found in first book, unveiled a lot of secrets but sadly she is yet to find her father. Now Cordelia knows who Witloof really is, now she knows Witloof killed both her parents and is heading to destroy all the magic on earth. Every night when dark rain falls she knows Witloof destroyed another magical place that was hidden from human eyes. Cordelia must save magic, but for this she has to find out the lost part of the oldest map. Maybe after that she can find her father, she still has some hope. Witloof has something extremely dangerous, he possesses Leechglass which is ice cold no matter how warm the day, it sucks the life from whatever it touches. Watchmaker s daughter DAWN got sucked by it and never woken. Makers are scattered like broken pieces of clock, they must be united together to stop Witloof. It's the toughest thing to do for anyone. The book is highly gripping, enriched with brilliantly created characters and their backstory is canopy of exhilarating chronicles. It's a fast paced superbly crafted adventure journey, the book wouldn't let you take break before finishing it. Verdict - don't miss #quotd Recommend me any adventure book Book courtesy @penguinindia (Fantasy, Book Review, Series, YA Adventure, Book Readers) #theladylivesinbook #penguinbook #penguipublishing #themapmakerstrilogy #themapmakers #bookreader #yabookclub #yafantasyseries #adventuretime

Nowadays a very distinguished Gora Sahaib captured all my attention. A British Tehsildar, an assistant Commissioner, who loves Indian lush green fields more than Britain's snow, he likes romancing with long stretched peaceful landscapes of Hindustan more than his own country's alley. He knows he is a ruler in India still he is eager to see Indian villagers learning in schools, keen to establish a good infrastructure for better learning fecility, actually he wants to make his tehsil a prosperous and developed place for his lady love, his mind is not bound to only enjoying power rather equipped with various ideas for a developed Hindustan. And then murder happened in the village, it was a result of a long-term rivalry between two casts. Small skirmishes start happening every day and the situation seems to go out of control, Gora Sahaib isn't very efficient to handle such things... What happened next I will tell you soon, first let me finish it. Have you read Ali Akbar Natiq's book? I wanted to read more continental authors, wanted to discover the various voices from Indian continental literature. Ali Akbar Natiq is a Pakistani poet, novelist and short-story writer, and one of the brightest stars in Pakistan's literary firmament. His voice is one of the finest in the literary world that tells us the melancholic story with warmth intertwined with humour, feather touch tone that neither let you feel succumbed to despair for the inhuman condition in Indian villages nor let you feel relaxed. The flavour of real Indian village life is alive with its raw essence with a hue of peacefulness. I don't know how the author gathered this innocent peaceful tinted voice while narrating colonial India. This is an amazing narrative. The commentary is very slow and simple, I am enjoying it in this scorching summer because the texture of his voice that gives me a beautiful relaxing feel. It's a very different read and I love reading different books.... There's a child inside everyone and that child loves reading stories. Stories that are filled with enchanting adventure, innocent friendship, love, hope and magic that would heal our tormented hearts. That's why YA adventure novels are always my comfort genre. It's a story about the Makers of London. There were Makers, Hatmakers, Bootmakers, Glovesmakers and Clockmakers and they didn't talk to each other for centuries. 12 years old Cordelia Hatmakers is the littlest of Hatmakers family. On a dark rainy night she lost her father. Her father's ship drowned in the ocean. Cordelia doesn't believe that her father is dead, he is definitely alive, he is just lost in water, Cordelia wants to go to search for him, and for this she needs a ship. But here's brewing something sinister, some horrible idea in someone's mind. Someone is trying to defame all the Makers and wants to throw them into prison. The book is not only about magic and adventure, it is lamented with sublime teachings, it teaches us to respect all creatures on earth, friendship, bravery, hope. How our thoughts influence our work, how the drifted mind determines our work, it teaches us with utmost easy language which makes this book more interesting. This wisdom is timeless and not only for kids but a pleasant reminder for adults also. With magical elements and adventure @tamzinmerchant narrative is absolutely a treasure trove and keeps me glued till the end. Every chapter shutting with some twisted revelation that makes the book compelling and utterly atmospheric story telling is the power house. The colorful characters and myriad complex incidents make this book a rollercoaster ride. Besides being richly equipped with a fascinating plotline this book also offers a visual treat. It's beautifully illustrated. At the end Cordelia received a map, now she has to solve the riddle inside this map, she believes this map will lead her to her father Prospero Hatmakers. This new expedition of solving riddles depicted in the second part of the book in the series. I am now reading The Mapmakers. Will tell you about The Mapmakers in my next post 💖💫 Thank you for the copy @penguinindia

Middle of Diamond India proposes a revolutionary idea - that India has long ignored its largest and most talented segment, citizens in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 districts, its Middle. Author brilliantly discussed the topic along with in-depth research, reveals the hidden stories of those in its Middle who have been ignored owing to their location and language. By examining India's revolutionary past, its culture, its citizens, its innovators, and its spirit, the book illuminates this Diamond shaped India. What makes this book interesting is it's replete with characters, anecdotes, insights, research and accounts of an annual pilgrimage on a special train-Jagriti Yatra, and an enterprise ecosystem established in Deoria district, the book outlines a new vision of India focussed on its rising Middle. It tries to establish a very distinguished perseverance and perspective. It proposes a Banyan Revolution over the coming twenty-five years of Amrit Kaal, using the tool of enterprise or Udyamita that can ignite a national renaissance. The book argues that by recognizing and awakening the entrepreneurial vitality of those in small towns and districts, we can create meaning for millions of citizens and define a new modernity for India. Sounds interesting isn't it? I liked the argumentative voice of this book which perfectly conveyed the message with uncomplicated language. It's a brilliant, thought-provoking and enlightening book. I savoured this book. The Secret of The Palamu Fort captured all my heart, if you have read Satyajit Ray's Feluda series then you can resonate with my feeling. @drraziahmed delivered a great tribute to the legendary man and not only that, he is able to won all the heart that swayed by the name of Satyajit Ray. This book gives me back my school day's essence when I devoured Satyajit Ray's books. The book takes you to a meticulously researched plot that blended history, mystery and murder investigation themes. Every bit of the book offers you in-depth research work on Palamu fort intertwined with murder investigation story line. In the backdrop of Palamu Fort and King Medini Ray's dazzling saga, the prominent protagonists characters are sweet reminders of Feluda, Topse and Mr Jatayu. Author brilliantly waves the murder sequence, the jaw-dropping mysterious character that came alive from the past made a superb ambiance, and the thorough process of uncovering the culprits was a great delight. It's 250 pages full of rolling journeys and for people like us it was echoes from childhood days when we were free to bury ourselves in Feluda 's books. Every page is evidence of the author's dedication and his writing ability. If you like mystery and if history intrigues your senses then don't miss this book. Kalpana started writing stories back in 2000 and won a contest in Femina magazine. Since then, she’s written a bunch of stories. Her first book, “Beneath a Sea of Emotions,” was published in Mumbai. People liked her writing style, and she got featured in The Hindu newspaper. She even got a story published by Unisun, a group supported by the British Council, India. She’s written more books, like “Recollections from a Crawlway” and some novels, including “Abstruse,” “Die if You Must,” and “When Hope is All You Have.” She also wrote a book called “Say Namaste” about Hindu religion. Aakar Publications published some of her books. Aside from writing, she also helps out with writing and editing for online media. Guess what I am reading? Are you surprised to see this book? Yes, I love reading diverse genres. This book thoroughly discussed what does it mean for a country to be rich? The book expertly talks about India's strong points. It argues on the advantages that India should utilise such as exports worldwide and what mistakes have been made to elevate manufacturing over all else as the means for India to grow. India is at a crossroads today. Its growth rate, while respectable relative to other large countries, is too low for the jobs our youth needs. Intense competition in low-skilled manufacturing, increasing protectionism globally and growing automation make the situation still more difficult. Divisive majoritarianism does not help. India broke away from the standard development path—from agriculture to low-skilled manufacturing, then high-skilled manufacturing and, finally, services—a long time back by leapfrogging the intermediate steps. Rather than attempting to revert to development paths that may not be feasible any more, we must embark on a truly Indian path. The book tried to explain how we can accelerate economic development by investing in our people’s human capital, expanding opportunities in high-skilled services and manufacturing centred on innovative new products, and making India a ferment of ideas and creativity. India’s democratic traditions will support this path, helped further by governance reforms, including strengthening our democratic institutions and greater decentralization. The book delves into where the Indian establishment has been successful but are clear-eyed in pointing out its weaknesses. It urges India's peoples to focus on the possibilities of the future. It's a great book for entrepreneurs and young people. The book is not like any business book rather the narrative is candid and uses uncomplicated words to convey the message. Nonfiction lovers shouldn't miss this. #theladylivesinbook #nonfictionreads #business #entrepreneurship #entrepreneur #businessopportunityseeker #penguinbook #penguinpublishing #penguinbusiness #penguinrandomhouse #businessbook #bookforentrepreneurs #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner

#BookmailAllert Blurb: Vega Gopalan is adrift. Still reeling from the death of her sister years earlier, she leaves South India to attend graduate school at Columbia University. In New York, Vega straddles many different worlds, eventually moving in and out of a series of relationships that take her through the striving world of academia, the intellectual isolation of the immigrant suburbs, and, ultimately, the loneliness of single motherhood. But it is the birth of Vega’s daughter that forces the novel’s central question: What does it mean to make a home? Written with dry humor and searing insight, Habitations is an intimate story of identity, immigration, expectation and desire, and of love lost and found. But it is also a universal story of womanhood, and the ways in which women are forced to navigate multiple loyalties: to family, to community, and to themselves. A profound meditation on the many meanings of home and on the ways love and kinship can be found, even in the most unfamiliar of places, Habitations introduces Sheila Sundar as an electrifying new voice in literary fiction. Sounds interesting and very intimate narration is about to unfold, isn't it? I am going start this... A murder in a locked room and superb language that brings back the old classic detective narrative, it's a national bestseller and soon going to be adapted, I really want to watch this on screen. Coming up with the book, author @divyaroopbhatnagar brilliantly blended Rudyard Kipling, Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie in one narration, that is the most precious thing in this book that captures my whole heart. It kept me up the whole night, the mystery was so creepy! An impeccably awesome plot waved two mysterious deaths that happened 60 years apart and solved only after the second murder happened. Both stories captured the reader's attention in simultaneous recitals. These two murder have some similarities, both are the lonely ladies from wealthy backgrounds, both excluding social life and trying to find peace in spiritual practices. They both gave up their envious fortunes to the spiritual association and the both ladies died at night while sleeping in their locked bedrooms. But, there's one more thread that connects these two murders from the 60 year gap which was discovered later. The plot delves into beautiful, smokey, mussoorie that gives me some spooky vibe and the mystery under the locked room itself has some chilling sensation. The conclusion was absolutely jaw-dropping, I didn't have any clue before but when the book was 80% done, I was smiling, ya, ok I sensed it and my prediction became true 😄 The book perfectly conveyed the old charm of Sherlock Holmes and Poirot. If you read Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot and you are a detective novel fan like me, you must not miss this book. Rating - 5/5⭐ Last book that keep you up till the morning? After a chunky book of the first part The Nandi's charg (544 pages), this is Varaha's Vengeance is a little short and nice size as a book in this historical series (400+ pages). SEVENTH-CENTURY INDIA. A GRIM STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL UNFOLDS. It's a story of valor, love, redemption, rage, dedication. After months of setting their plan in motion, three gallant Pallava captains march forward, driven by King Narasimhavaraman's vow to avenge their clan's honour. In response, the indomitable Chalukya King Pulikeshi launches a fierce counterattack, aided by his brother, Kubja Vishnuvardhana. Backed by their powerful allies, the Chalukyas spare no effort in their attempts to decimate the Pallava army, ambushing the enemy on both land and sea. The very survival of the Pallavas hangs in the balance. Can they withstand the unbridled force unleashed by the resurgent Chalukyas or will they succumb to the overwhelming might of their adversaries? Can they rally their defences before all is lost? The enigmatic ambience is still going on in the second part. The majestic writing style swiftly takes you to the riveting saga of Indian history which has happened but never been documented as lavishly as it is now. All characters are revealed now with their position, and firmly rooted to the plot with their background stories. With subplots this second part feels more interesting, an emotional rollercoaster, and unfolds various emotional aspects of life. Kannan, Sadiyan, Mutthuvel, Elango, becomes prominent and relatable. Lots of things happened in their lives and a lot of things are yet to happen, eagerly waiting for the next part :) Any new book are you waiting for? {Indian History, History, Historical Series, Bookhaul, Bookmail, Book and Coffee, Reading} #theladylivesinbook #TheBattleOfVathapi #TheBattleOfVathapiTrylogy #harpercollinspublishers #harperbooks #harpercollinsindia #indianbooks #indianhistory #indianbookblogger

Blurb: Chanchal Mitra wakes up in a far-off desert town, sharing a dingy hotel room with the flamboyant Mr. Kapoor, who is planning to abduct a billionaire. Kapoor insists that the billionaire tycoon is an impostor. Chanchal is unwittingly drawn into the plot. Soon they are joined by the mystery woman Sujata, her eyes dark like murder; and then a crutch-clutching ex-sailor, who is quick with a gun. In the smog-swathed capital city of Aukatabad, an organic chemist engaged by the tycoon to design a mind-altering drug, is found dead from an overdose. Elsewhere, the billionaire industrialist's chocolate factory is contaminated by salmonella while Sujata fights a fiery death at the hands of hired killers. ..... The story seems really interesting, doesn't it? With a beautifully crafted, enchanting narrative the author started his story, but too much description makes reluctant to flourish the plotline. I am sorry I couldn't continue it. Although the characters are very well rooted and described in sumptuous words, still they are blocking the progress which didn't go well with me. There's some slang and some names also make the ambiance uneasy, I couldn't get into the story despite a lot of efforts.... I feel tired after 50 pages.. Maybe I will try it some other time. #theladylivesinbook #bloggergirl #bookreviews

Instruments of Torture is author Aparna Sanyal's mesmerizing literary venture that is unique in the way of its culmination process and remarks a gorgeous wordplay which will make you fall in love with her narration voice. I stumbled upon her words. She was toying with words. Playing with words like she is playing fencing. And I can't praise the cover enough, it's tantalizing, brutal and shows artistic voice just like the content inside this book. Darkness of heart and curves is a prominent topic of this book. The book talks about various historical instruments that are used for torturing; that meticulous research work presented with stories that depicted psychological suffering, and anguish that makes connection with each instrument portraying every individual's pain and helplessness making the book a compelling read eventually created a kaleidoscope of humanity. Stories are perfectly mirror every torture instruments and that is an incredible idea to show how our society working, what lies at the edges of our vision that we couldn't connect yet. Characters bore impeccable dimensions which makes me astonished, they are very real and relatable yet very unknown from you and me. It forces us to think how much we know the people around us. The first story of a dwarf boy made a voiceless cry, its' rawness is able to make scratch in your heart, another story of a beautiful and proudy wife is showing some confusion, a sublime nameless pain is painted brilliantly with a hinge of sarcasm. Everyone is different here, every pain is different but not difficult that you can't recognise. Aparna Sanyal is playing with human complexities like a juggler. She seamlessly telling us stories that lets us experience the darkest torture chamber of the soul. Where rapacious dreams dwell and nightmares are forged. In these pages, the mind's darkness lies revealed. If you love history and complexities in the human mindset then you must read this book. Don't miss it. Ponder A While by Mohit K. Mishra is true to its name, this book compelled readers to take time and think about what is depicted in the book. I am astounded by the simplicity and devotion in his expression. It's a wonderful literary expedition that tries to decipher the meaning of religion, faith, belief, illusion and never let your spirit succumb to materialism, the essence of spirituality will engulfed your heart and your total being yet this book won't forced you to submitted in belief rather it asks you to think and grow. How to simplify the large concept of religious school he showed it. His proliferation in writing poetry and penning his thoughts on everything that happens under the sun is an admirable ability that showcases his resilience and his seeker nature. The poems make me absolutely humble and Kudos to his simple maneuver which is sharp, on point and unfolding great depths in his thinking process. Some poems are referring to his transformation journey which was my favourite poem. Recommending a highly captivating Indian Mystery thriller that is packed with gripping narration of a storyline that is expanded on four timelines. I am still in awe of this book. It's fast paced, extremely interesting plotting ready to unveil a treasure hunt theme. If you love reading mythological mysteries, fantasy and riddles, this is your pick. Shades of Hues Author - Pragati Tiwari Genre - Poems collection Rating 4.6/5 Would you like to read something that reconnects you with emotions that you long forgot due to overburdened life? Would you like to read poems that feel like a conversation with you? If you ask me I will say "Yes". Overburdened life reconnects with the world of emotions. Pragati Tiwari's poems collection simply takes away readers from daily life and tries to talk with them, the intimacy is genuine and the windows are open to embracing all the feelings that we negotiate in darkness, the response is sublime but now Pragati gives them shape with her words. Pragati Tiwari's Shades of Hues is a huge canvas that she filled with emotionally colorful patchwork. The book is an astonishing literary journey of untold feelings that pouring into the pages like a deep splash with a promise to touch your inner voice and reflect innocent urges, and sometimes questions too. Shades of Hues is immensely capable of bewildering you with its finesse in wordplay. The narrative slowly explores a bouquet of themes. A selected collection of seventy-five poems that combine into the characteristics chapters of Dusk, Midnight, and Dawn. My favorite chapter is Midnight. Pragati Tiwari shares her idea that both light and darkness are the necessities of life and we must go through both of them with equal acceptance. It flawlessly delved into an emotional journey that expands our concerns, wanted to be a voice for what darkness may emotionally feel like as it comes and goes out of your life, and the best thing is, it's vividly picturized conversation with you that is unfolding a delicate dance between separation, and emptiness; bewilderment, jealousy, anger, anxiety, helplessness, pain and sorrow, fear, isolation, hope, silence, love, healing, gratitude. Occasionally exposing a tingling effect in your heart which makes you resonate with the narrative. Formatting the question that plunges into the realm of a compassionate story strengthens the author's grip on the reader's heart. The Mars Conspiracy by @drraziahmed is an amazingly articulated, gripping sci-fi adventure novel that meticulously blended together History, Egyptology, and scientific fantasy expeditions. The plot is divided into two timelines, 1300 BC, Ancient Egypt and 2021, Simdega, Jharkhand, both stories simultaneously captured the reader's mind and gravitated enormously that you would not want to leave your seat without finishing the book. It's a well researched book on Egyptology and extremely engrossing. Author brilliantly used the history of Ankhenaten and the great Pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty—Amenhotep III to merge it with science fiction. 1300 BC became vividly alive with words and took readers on an exciting journey. While ancient Egypt became an eventful and engrossing page turner episode at the same time the present timeline narration is lagging the package of elements and feels quite slow, uneventful, monotonous which makes the middle of the book quite loose. I have to push myself to read those middle chapters, it felt unnecessarily dragged because I was expecting the same intensity, the same excitement from both timelines. Overall it's a really delightful sci-fi adventure read for those who have an interest in astrophysics and ancient Egyptians, like me. Go for it guys you will enjoy it 4/5 Do you like reading on Egyptology? A book filled with sparkling shards of pain. The book reopened the pain of partition and probably the best unbiased narration I have ever read on this topic. Two things that are new to me here, first, it's a story driven narration not a character driven plot which is clearly visible. The difference is a very unique approach to me. It feels like an aerial view of the massacre. And the second one is this is my first Panjabi literary experience, of course it's a translated literary expedition. Translation was good but could have been a little smooth. I don't know why I am so much interested in partition novels, maybe I don't want to forget what we have paid for this independent country, how invaluable the price was . Do you read any era or any topic again and again? Like me? This is magnificently researched and enormous information beautifully presented in this book. This book, Jagadish Chandra Bose The Reluctant Physicist by Sudipto Das gives us a comprehensive look into his life, his research, his personal life and friendships with Tagore, Vivekananda, Sister Nivedita and their presence has deeply crafted his life journey. It seamlessly waves story about J.C. Bose's radio invention, Bose was the first to have created millimetres wave for radio communications which we are using now in 5g. His struggle for almost single handedly establishing a scientific research institute Cultivation of Science and the way Tagore and Nivedita helped him, it was truly heartfelt equally proudest saga that was staged during a turbulent phase in Indian history. It was the third greatest institute in colonial India and he was the first Indian scientist who was internationally recognised from colonial India. He was the bearer of the torch representing as national aspirations. His work yielded out of box concept. Do you know Tagore dedicated one of his work to Bose? Bose reported his experiments in Artificial Retina and On a Theory of Vision to Royal Society Of London and it has never been published. Just imagine - if he was acknowledged and was regarded with essential equipment for research then what would happen? Maybe we would have acquired an artificial retina for the needs. His research work, his enthusiasm was bewildering. Western Media Narratives on India - From Gandhi To Modi by Umesh Upadhyay Rating 5/5⭐ It's Blood boiling truths on media news that are constantly reporting biased and baseless news, it proves that they only represented the commercial interests for those who had invested. It's a meticulously researched work that is penned to serve the truth. If you read how the biggest media organisations like Reuters, API, PTI started their journey you will grasp the motive behind their news and why they always targeted India in their nasty fake news business. It's a brilliantly researched, blatantly written account that dissecting News presented by Western Media. From the very beginning to the news media culture that goes back to the 17 th century to recent published news on Chandrayan, everything painstakingly discussed and scrutinized every word that was carefully articulated by world renowned media and publications. Sometimes it's funny how Western media used age old data, almost pre-historic knowledge when they sit down to write articles on India.... This is insane, cruel, they are still carrying the hundred years old misconceptions that were tactfully projected by imperialist mindsets. It's a very useful and handy book for history students, mass communication, journalism, and imperialist history students. Absolutely loved it. Do you believe all the news you read on big news paper? Any Futuristic novel you read this year? Meghna Pant's new book The Man Who Lost India is a masterly crafted novel which is brilliantly chiseled from geopolitical aspects of today's world. It is a well nourished writing combination emerging from thoughtful imagination that is delving into the sci-fi genre from the geopolitical perspective with a dash of supernatural elements. It's a dystopian sci-fi, but rather than sci-fi I found it's a political futuristic fiction. An imaginary India is under the control of China. Author tries to explore the normal people's lives under the control of imperialist power that is improving towards the worst with a hinge of mystic. Meghna's bold sarcastic take on social and geopolitical atmosphere, love, life and supernatural created euphoric impression, I must say her imagination power is highly compelling and appreciated. Her metaphors are dark, reflecting mundane poignant life so exquisitly making readers engaged throughout the journey. It's a brilliant and captivating cocktail blend. The way author uses the current affairs in state craft and slowly switches to people's lives in the future world, it is utterly brilliant. The horrible life under the imperial power, the imprisonment of living vividly narrated with realistically portrayed characters. Poignant ambiance, and socio-economic characteristics twists heavily outcast the plot making the atmosphere gloomy. Characters are extremely powerful with their idiosyncrasy, and significant structure that leaves a lasting effect on readers'minds. The man who lost India is a bold, fiery, brilliant attempt to poke the lethargic soul. Ravenous her narrative, captivating her plot execution. A dystopian novel that will shriek your blood. My Soul Twin is that kind of novel that you won't like for the story, not for exploring the tapestries of emotions rather you would fall for the writing prowess. One of the solid writing that I wanted to read for years, and I can assure you that this is one of the writing that I haven't read for decades. "But i felt no remorse only infinite emptiness" "When you denied things little by little you start forgetting them" Believe me I didn't know it would ruin me. The artistry of mixing words is so delicate yet so powerful. It has the power to give you pain in a very different way. Pain is surreal here. Leni, Tulia Ivo mother, father everyone is romancing with pain. Incredible exploration of suffering. The book depicted flawed characters flawlessly while gliding through an emotional whirlpool. People say it's a modern Wuthering Heights, I didn't read that old classic but I was more interested in how the author plays with the delicate emotional intricacies in today's circumstances, and the author makes it happen brilliantly. These delicious emotional intricacies are only comparable with old classics. Internal struggle of flawed characters, layers of unbound emotional wave, everything is so atmospheric. Stella's complexity, not so straightforward past, not decorative life groped her, makes her feel small in front of her husband; I was literally feeling what she was feeling in every page. Half of the book lets you vividly go through the psychological ecstatic intimacy and poignant echoes from the past slowly unearthed the root of the pain that is poisoning their present life. Sometimes you need to take a break to breathe to absorb the book After reading this You won't be able to read any other books for a long time.... Masala Chai For The Soul by Jairam Menon is a timely presentation of preserving thought that can be only called as Satirical Whim. Satirical takes on everything that is going around us, philosophical notes on every thing that can be discussed, he presented with a mannerism that called adda theme that we do while drinking evening tea. Jairam Menon discussed everything under the sun in his signature tone and summed up like rediscovering your soul but hold on, he brewed it with masala. You can say these are witty articles on everything that is happening in our daily life. His Witty narrative like a whiplash evokes fun equally profundity. He talks about - spot and stop a bore at fifteen paces (sometimes less, if the bore is yourself) - manage your boss while giving the impression that he/she/it is managing you. - discover that a lazy Sunday spent in bed is the best way to save the planet. - learn that to procrastinate makes better sense than to pre-empt. - succinctly sum up your innermost feelings as 'F***' or 'S***' A distinguished nonfiction book from a satiric wordsmith, do check it if you want to read something extremely different Thank you for this copy @rupa_publications #theladylivesinbook #satireart #nonfiction #bookbloggers

Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Bharat’s Quest for Ram- Rajya I liked the way author skillfully waves the 500 years of history and the religious struggle for re-establishment of lord Rama's temple. The infamous conflict was avoided with such graceful narration by the author unfolded with historical evidence making a riveting story crafted from painstaking research. The captivating unbiased commentary of ongoing incidents was penned with fine compassionate language and along with Ram's popular stories across the world which added a poignant hue and served as an engaging element. I enjoyed the historical evidence. Significance mentioning in history gave me chills, such a profound and vibrant history, it was an interesting exploration. Not only as Ram's birthplace but ayodhya holds significant position in the history of other religions books , jain , Buddhism and the remarks it left in travellers account like hiuen tsiang, witnessing such evidence was a thrilling experience for anyone. The way the author described this ancient city gives me a fascinating experience. Jain literature refers to ayodhya in various names, the more I was reading it I felt goosebumps, such a rich history author unearthed meticulously. Very enticing history of Ayodhya and remaking the journey of the ram temple kept me occupied the last few days. The culmination of a century old skirmish is now embodied in that gorgeously crafted temple. An excellent read. Mission save Mars by Vidyasagar Mundroy is a compelling literary work that tells the theme of the book in the title itself. Yes, how the restoration of earth saves Mars. This book is masterfully crafted as a setting of an inhabited land on Mars, their inhabitants are the people who would leave the earth because earth became incapable of living. Sounds quite normal as the rapidly changing atmosphere on earth isn't it? This gripping plot starts with melancholic and shocking story of a dilapidated Earth. With its myriads of complex situations that is the reason behind this human leftover and the pragmatic narrative brilliantly explore the reasons one by one with amazing details explanation makes it a page turner that you would want to read in one sitting. Building a story with logical explanations is another plus point of this book that is written so insightfully and strategically placed twists makes it an engaging read. It's sci-fi but it plays a role of a reminder of our horrible future coming towards us, reminder of how we miss using our precious Water, Air and other natural wealth. Take it as an alarming book for humanity or just a mere sci-fi novel the choice is yours but you can't ignore the fact that truth has been delivered inside it. Only one thing that I didn't like about this book is the length. Overall it's a gripping sci-fi with infusing realisation. Rating 4/5✨ #theladylivesinbook #scifithriller #scifibooks #bibilophile

An ordinary man's extraordinary transformation story really makes me stunned. Two Years Author - Max Tower Genre - Self-help / Memoir / Travel Rating - 4 / 5 Somedays in life you come across some books that make you believe in life, make you believe that there's something yet to be uncovered that will fulfill your life completely, that ignites belief in fullness. The void in your soul that never lets you rest needs to be fulfilled that defies the purpose of being a living creature, this explains the meaning of containment, a satisfactory happiness that we all are allowed to catch and look for is hidden secretly inside us. Two Years emphasizes not only a man's journey around the world but stands out for the astonishing world tour that broadens his mind and adaptability, in simple words he tells us about the deep fulfillment of life. So true, it's one of the simple yet unique things that we need to explore again, need to establish once again. The book is an impeccable setting for finding your happiness, overcoming depression, imbalances in minds and relationships, and solutions of happiness which is a mystery for many people. One day when Max returned home, he was astounded by his mother's words, he realized achieving all the outside world has to offer made our life so small that we became painfully limited in our life, and longing for happiness has become something exhaustive. We are waiting for happiness and forget to look at the right path, the book is an alarm, and it is now time to look inside. The book doesn't have any formula or struggling method nor does it suggest any lifestyle hack rather it takes us to think, and it gives us a thorough journey that expands our thinking process. It says- Shuts your mind and becoming present in the moment is the solution for your yearning for sustainability and peace. That you can be able to adapt when you are free and close to nature. Reading real-life struggles and overcoming stories are far more fascinating than any self-help books, isn't it true? It's enthralling and sheds more impact which is deeply rooted. Do you believe being contained is the first step of happiness? Continued in comment ☕

Brigitta Visser @universallightwarriors is a non-fiction author with amazing story of her own life journey she is here to remind you your own soul power. Brigitta is a Soul Empowering Coach and Light Language Healer. Let’s not do much ado on it and jump into the point, it was a truly profound experience to talk with her; so lets hear about her book from her own voice. 1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background as a writer? Hmmmm, am I truly a writer? That question has lingered in my mind for some time. Though I’ve never considered myself much of an author, my spiritual guides – including ascended masters, archangels, and other beings of light – have repeatedly directed me to pick up the pen. At first, I hesitated. Me, write inspiring works that might awaken humanity? It seemed too daunting a task. But I’ve learned that when inspiration calls, you must answer the call. So, I began putting words to paper, planting seeds of thought and hoping they might blossom in readers’ minds. My first solo book details an enlightening spiritual sojourn in India that I know will captivate and inspire. Even more exciting is the forthcoming publication of “Becoming Empowered,” a collaborative book I co-created with 14 other phenomenal female authors. Our hope is that by sharing our stories of overcoming trauma and living empowered, fulfilled lives, we can motivate and inspire others to walk the path that sings true to the song in their own hearts. _________ 3. Your book explores the theme of pressure of life’s struggle due to a whirlwind of circumstances. What motivated you to delve into soul empowering subject? Our whirlwind of life experiences can leave us feeling disempowered and swayed by the opinions of others. But we all have an inner light waiting to be rekindled. Even after trauma, abuse, loss, heartbreak – the darkness tries to snuff out our spark. Yet we each hold the power to reignite our inner flame and return to our true selves. My journey has taken me down many dark roads. From childhood abuse to cutthroat industries, bullying, grief, harmful relationships. Read full review on my blog. It's a story of 14 women's journeys, are you interes

Music, When Soft Voices Die by Percy Bysshe Shelley Music, when soft voices die, Vibrates in the memory— Odours, when sweet violets sicken, Live within the sense they quicken. Rose leaves, when the rose is dead, Are heaped for the belovèd's bed; And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone, Love itself shall slumber on. #shelley #poetrybooks #theladylivesinbook #thoughts #thoughtoftheday

A few days ago I finished a thought provoking book that deeply examines some toughest issues and questions about social and political activities. Penetrating to the roots of some news decoding the falsehood with discussions of some simple facts that are strategically curved to fulfill the political agenda. It offers a first hand account of research work that debunked the statement of love jihad and other falsehoods. In depth research was very captivating and captured the electrifying truth. Behind the scenes matter is described in skilled projection. A well structured narrative is intriguing. Beautifully scrutinized political statement, agendas understand better when it is placed under a microscope and presented by proficiency and well articulated writing style. This book is brilliantly crafted through painstaking research work and reflects some truths that were forced to be carefully hidden behind the curtain from long time. The book provides nothing but the well excavated facts and rest is up to you. Thank you for the copy @alephbookco What's your thoughts on this?
