MINIMALIST MONDAY 🍄 Are you physical copy, kindle or audiobook reader? I’ve only had my kindle for a couple of weeks but I’ve used it every day so far. Title: The One with the Kiss Cam Author: Cindy Steel Length: 304 Pages Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I flew through this delightful romcom! The audiobook just released on Hoopla and it's also available on Kindle Unlimited. So I grabbed both formats and switched back and forth between them. I think I finished it in under 48 hours! I was invested right from the start. The opening scene at the basketball game with the kiss cam was SO good. I wondered if the book would hold my attention after that. Where do you go from there? Kiss cam is right there in the title and the kiss cam scene was over. But Steel did a great job of crafting a story that was so fun to read! There were so many call backs to those first few chapters throughout the book that it didn't feel disjointed to me. It felt more like you were on the inside of an inside joke. And I am here for the dirty dancing lift scene! I adored the banter in this book. Duke's sense of humor reminded me so much of my husband! I just kept thinking "Ben would say that". It had me laughing and smiling throughout the whole book. If you're looking for a light-hearted, feel-good romance, this should be your next read. After enjoying Faking Christmas by Steel, and now this one...I think she is becoming an auto-read author for me! Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book! I voluntarily leave this review! Wild Fruit is forbidden for those as young as Badger and his friends. There is always a risk of danger when eating it. But surely it couldn’t be as bad as the rumors say? Yet when Badger and friends cause hijinks to acquire Wild Fruit, they could never predict what would happen. While each of them carries a power, when they bite into the fruit it amplifies their abilities, and for some, it will forever change them. Savage Wild is such a wholesome tale. This is the perfect beginner fantasy novel for young adults. The friendships between Badger and his friends are so heartwarming. They support one another, and their strengths and weaknesses pair so well. Even when one makes a mistake, the others try to make them feel better by acknowledging the mistake, but not letting them dwell on it. These characters are certainly the friends you want to continue having adventures with. And adventures they have! Each step of the journey is filled with picturesque imagery. The forest seems majestic as they travel into the wilds. But what starts as a simple quest to find a friend, turns into a fight for the throne. Little do the friends know, the wilds are in an uproar as two opposing sides seek to become king. Badger and his friends will unwittingly be swept into the battle and have to use their combined strength to make it through. Savage Wild has a wonderful array of representations. It is also one of those tales that while it does deal with darker elements, the characters make it easier to read. Heartless by Elsie Silver - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As soon as I finished Flawless, I went straight into Heartless because I was so excited to read Cade's book. And oh my goodness, "Daddy Cade" Eaton is the one. Willa, Summer's best friend, really made me laugh during her text exchanges in Flawless so I was well prepared for the humour in Heartless. This book follows Rhett's older brother Cade who owns a ranch in Chestnut Springs. He is a single dad since his ex-wife Talia left them both when son Luke was two-years-old. With his current babysitter getting older, he is hiring a nanny. But Cade is the grumpiest man alive and hates everyone that the family interviews. Summer has the best solution - her friend Willa. Willa is hilarious right from the start and this is definitely for the age gap (Willa is 25) and grumpy x sunshine fans. It also has a trope that I hate (that I will not share because of spoilers) but I still gave this book five stars. Willa's feelings towards Cade and his son Luke were handled beautifully, with Willa being the type of person Cade needed. Someone to help put himself first for once. Oh and the spice is top notch 🌶️

🧡 Review of Funny Story by Emily Henry 🧡 Daphne always loved the way Peter told their story. That is until it became the prologue to his actual love story with his childhood bestie, Petra. Which is how Daphne ends up rooming with her total opposite and the only person who could possibly understand her predicament: Petra's ex, Miles. As expected, it’s not a match made in heaven – that is until one night, while tossing back tequilas, they form a plan. And if it involves posting deliberately misleading photos of their adventures together, well, who could blame them? But it’s all just for show, of course, because there’s no way Daphne would actually start her new chapter by falling in love with her ex-fiancé’s new fiancée’s ex... right? 🧡 Emily Henry is one of the best romance writers out there and what she does to elevate herself above the crowd is not only write heartfelt love stories but she does so whilst exploring serious issues. The balance between lightheartedness, humour and the more serious issues is perfectly balanced. Funny Story might be Henry's best book so far in my opinion. I adored the relationship between Daphne and Miles. I think I might have fallen in love with him myself a little bit. The humour, as always, is spot-on. (I also listened to audiobook and Julia Whelan, the narrator, was perfect. As always in Henry's books, the main characters are surrounded by a host of loveable (and sometimes not-so-loveable) supporting characters. Daphne's library co-workers, in particular, felt so richly drawn that they really came to life. If you're looking for a laugh-out-loud novel with spice and that will give you all the feels, then I definitely recommend checking out Funny Story. With complex characters, angst, chemistry, and memorable storytelling, this is far more than just a romance novel. I loved it. Funny Story is out now. I also didn’t expect any spice in this book so it caught me by surprise ngl 😂 but this book has friends-to-lovers, second chance romance tropes, with past and present timelines, and I loved it so much. I’m ngl though, the only thing is I just couldn’t picture what they looked like 🫠 but I can definitely see why this was so hyped! I had a smile plastered to my face almost the entire time bc of how cute it was. 10/10 def recommend if you’re looking for something light and cute with a little heartbreak 😂🫶🏻 qotd: have you read this? what were your thoughts?
