Sowohl #ExxonMobile als auch Koch-Industries gingen aus eigenem Profitinteresse gegen die Dekarbonisierung vor, also gegen das Ziel, Energie nicht länger durch Verbrennen von fossilen Rohstoffen zu erzeugen. Wenn man Schäffler also reden hört, kann man sich schon fragen, wessen Interessen er vertritt. Und wenn dann mal wieder von den Rechtsbrechern auf der Straße die Rede ist, von der Minderheit der »Demokratieverächter«, die einer Mehrheit ihren Willen aufdrängt, von härteren Strafen, dann lohnt es sich, den Blick zu weiten. The big driver behind Koch’s success is fossil fuels, almost instantly inferring that this book is full of profit-driven corruption in the shadows, and that inference is mostly right - the book also shows what one person can do if their highly driven for 60 years non-stop.
