Me encantan los cómics de Dredd y me encanta la peli (si, si, la de Stallone... la otra me parece basura) y recuerdo comprar la banda sonora con mucha ilusión. La cinta contiene mucha mierda, pero tiene algunas joyas por las que vale la pena tenerla. Reviewing Street Fighter; I just watched this and it’s good. As for the storyline After War Lord Bison has kidnapped people and giving 3 days to pay the ransom of 20 Billion it’s down to Colonel Guile but it turns personal when he realises what his plan is to take of the world. As for the cast I liked Claude Van Damme Raul Julia and Ming Na Wen and others good too. Overall it’s a good but cheese action film got fun too. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003) dir. Jan de Bont While exploring a lost temple of Alexander the Great, adventurer Lara Croft stumbles upon a magical orb that pinpoints the exact location of Pandora's Box. Finding herself in a race for the box against an evil scientist, Lara turns to an old friend for help. We finally got around to checking out the second Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider movie - definitely not my first rodeo on this one, but it is Allen's. I enjoy the first movie more, but this movie is still a fun time. Allen echoed a lot of the same sentiment. This movie has a larger budget and more dramatic set pieces, but it somehow doesn't feel as fun as the original movie. One improvement is Lara's Croft Boy which is a young, pre-300 Gerard Butler. He and Jolie have a lot of chemistry and their relationship/dynamic is what drives most of this movie. For our villain, we have Ciaran Hinds, who does a fine job. I think I prefer Iain Glen's villain more, but they're comparable to be honest. The treasure is kind of just okay. It's basically the ark of the covenant, but Greek. It even looks like it! I do wish that Jolie made a third one, it would have rounded the films out nicely - especially if they had focused on TR4 which is supposed to be Lara's Last Crusade. But Jolie wanted to move on from the role and I can understand that. But this role was very important for her, especially in defining her personal character moving forward. Will we watch the reboot? I'm not sure. A true 80’s action classic, ‘Commando’ proved that Hollywood was finally ready to embrace Arnold Schwarzenegger as a muscular, over the top, bad ass action star. The best way to describe this film is; “It’s the length of a Disney movie and it’s nonstop one-liners and kills from Arnold.” Indeed Arnold goes on quite the rampage in this film as he seems to find a way out do himself with each quip and each kill. Vernon Wells nearly matches him with his own over the top villain performance. A young Alyssa Milano plays the daughter, Jenny, of Schwarzenegger’s John Matrix, who he must save after she is kidnapped by some mercenaries who have a past with Matrix. Rae Dawn Chong does a solid enough job as Matrix’s reluctant partner and Bill Duke gets a really fun fight scene with Arnold. Dan Hedaya plays a South American dictator who hires the mercenaries and David Patrick Kelly has one of the best scenes in the movie after a car chase with Matrix. Really, if you’re a fan of 80’s action movies or Arnold Schwarzenegger, then this film is a perfectly enjoyable way of spending 90 minutes of your time. Have you seen ‘Commando’? Quizá no sea la mejor de Van Damme ni la mejor película en general, pero considero que a día de hoy, visto lo visto, es la mejor adaptación live action que han hecho del mítico videojuego. Que no sea buena, no la hace menos disfrutable. En mi opinión es divertida de principio a fin y tenemos a un Van Damme desatado, en una época en que los excesos estaban en su punto culmen. Y ver a Raúl Julia, en la que fue su penúltima película, siempre es bien. Acompañándoles tenemos a otros intérpretes más o menos conocidos, como Ming-Na Wen en el papel de Chun-Li, a la que hemos visto en series como "Stargate Universe", "Mandalorian", "El libro de Boba Fett" o "Agentes de SHIELD". Wes Studi, al que vimos en "En último mohicano", la disfrutona "Deep Rising" o "Heat"... Podríamos seguir repasando filmografías y veríamos que la película tampoco tuvo problemas de presupuesto en la época al elegir el elenco... Schoedsack e Irving Pichel, 1932) que cuenta con el atractivo de mirar el medio televisivo de su presente, situándolo en el futuro distópico, y enfrentar la cara visible del espectáculo y la oculta donde se mueven los hilos, aquella que actúa según los intereses comerciales y políticos. Aunque la acción prevalezca, que para algo es una película con Schwarzenegger, sus responsables introducen durante la caza humana el tema de la manipulación mediática que guía la opinión y las simpatías del público, potencial consumidor de los productos publicitados y de la “telebasura” que también en la actualidad continúa llenando las pantallas televisivas. La acción de Perseguido se desarrolla en 2017, dentro de una sociedad que se encuentra totalmente alienada y controlada por la televisión, que a su vez es un medio de control del gobierno para someter y engañar a sus gobernados. Session Judge Dredd ---------- Judge Dredd 🙂😏 Danny Cannon (1995) Dredd est accusé du meurtre d'un haut dignitaire, il a été filmé et ce sont ses munitions qui sont retrouvées dans le cadavre. Il esquive la peine de mort mais ça sera prison à vie pour lui. Sur le trajet de la prison le convoit est attaqué et Dredd se retrouve en terres sauvages. Et ben moi je l'aime bien ce film 🙂, ok il a pleins de défauts mais on voit aussi qu'il essaye de faire de son mieux. Pour les défauts il y a le fait qu'on voit toujours le visage de Dredd, mais à la rigueur c'est expliqué dans le scénario. Il y a aussi le comique relief Rob Schneider qui est très fatiguant, mais en vrai ça passe. Le pire ce sont les one-liner, c'en est bourré, chaque phrase finit par une blague. C'est chiant et j'ai fini par hurler "MAIS TAISEZ-VOUS !" à tout bout de champ mais en réalité ça m'a quand même fait marrer 😏. Sinon les décors sont chouettes, les sfx sont encore très jolis (sauf la poursuite volante à la fin 😅), les acteurs sont bons (Stallone 🔥), il y a des phrases cultes (La loi c'est moi ! Et l'ordre !). Bref, c'est un bon divertissement, parfaitement en adéquation avec son époque. ---------- Dredd 😀🙂 Pete Travis (2012) Dredd a la recrue Anderson avec lui, il doit l'evaluer mais ils vont tout les deux se retrouver enfermés dans un mega-block. Ils sont maintenant la cible de tous les voyous de cette ville. ⚠️ coup de cœur 🤩 Qu'est-ce que c'est bon ! Du vrai Judge Dredd, c'est une adaptation parfaite. L'action s'enchaîne sans temps morts, il y a de la violence visuelle, le monde est riche, et il y a pleins d'idées visuelles. I’ll review an action film title that I watched 🎥🎞️ Commando (1985) コマンドー This movie is depicted the battle of a former special forces member who confronts evil in order to save his beloved daughter who has been kidnapped. The plot of movie is about, “John Matrix”, a former commanding officer of the Special Forces, now he lives a peaceful life in a mountain cabin with his beloved daughter “Jenny”. However, their mountain lodge is attacked by an armed group and Jenny is kidnapped. In exchange for Jenny’s life, the criminals demanded that Matrix assassinate the president of a certain country. In order to rescue Jenny, Matrix boards the enemy’s hideout with Cindy, a flight attendant who happens to be with her. My thoughts about this film, It’s overkill situation about that, but it’s very entertaining, and so strong that there’s no father to rely on more. I felt the unfathomable power of how strong it would be if the enemy really made him angry. Honestly, I think a sequel could be made.
