So much to celebrate! Not only did my NY Knicks win 50 games this season and made it to the playoffs as a 2nd seed, but I just found out that my A1C went DOWN to 5.8 🎊 (still in pre-diabetic range, but much better than 6.2 or 6.1, I was so worried I was going to go up higher and instead it went down!) This means I can continue eating my good quality carbs (bread, pasta, rice, fruits etc. not high amounts but small amounts obviously!) No more strict keto because that wasn't sustainable for me with my family eating this stuff around me. I still love Dr. Berg and Dr. Ekberg because they're the ones that got me on this wholesome Foods Journey 🙌 someone that I can relate to a little bit better is: @carnivoreishh He's always looking for healthy food options so definitely give him a follow if you're on IG and also @dr.mindypelz for women's intermittent fasting, varied fasting times and good nourishment is key 🙏) Just to be safe, I am still going to see a new endocrinologist in my network (my last one wasn't in network but I was desperate to rule out Type 1 diabetes) to check any thyroid issues etc. I still think my numbers go up and down because of perimenopause and genetics but it's better to be aware of it so I don't get carried away with bad food choices! *I love that my friends and neighbors think I still run and I do miss it but I do enough running around as it is with work and the kids!
