Just a reminder that the work you put into the off season is just as important as prep.🔥 These photos were taken two years apart. Between that time I learned a lot and was able to produce a better look at my last competition. In some ways, I think the off season can be harder than prep. I am continuing to play around with my training & running schedule to maximize muscle growth without too much fatigue. I have also been continuing to eat similar meals with some deviation on occasion (trying to minimize that, but Jackson’s chips are my new obsession) but it all goes straight to the muscles right? 😜 Still continuing to learn and grow. we had a strength focused leg day today. ⚡️ it ‘tisssss growing season my dudes & i couldn’t be more excited to build on what we have squeezed out of these last 12 months. great execution on my first cut & rebound, very proud of myself because i was extremely nervous to jump into the competitive body building pool. let’s make this bulking season look astronomically better than my first & of course enjoy some dirty breakdowns in the meantime. Stop judging everyone when you are in the gym✨ You have no idea what that other person is fighting, what their life is like, how they got there, how long they been working to get there, if they have kids, if they are married, NOTHING You may see the person for 2 mins your entire day and unless you are in a relationship with them you don’t KNOW them. If they wear makeup in the gym who cares, maybe they just got off work, maybe it makes them feel good, maybe they have some where to be and don’t have time to do it after. They are recording a set, maybe they need to send it to their coach, maybe they are trying to check their form, maybe it makes them feel good to post that they accomplished something They are scrolling on their phone on a machine, maybe they are in a rest period and that just takes their mind off stuff, maybe they are dealing with work, kids, or something else that requires their phone. Are you losing sight of optimal training? This could be the reason you have started to notice less change in your body recomposition. Not only does this cause unnecessary loading and instability which is the most common for injury in the gym but it is proven that the most stress we can cause to our muscles when training them is through eccentric movements and lengthened positioning. growing season 🌱 Currently holding around 167lbs, weight training 4 days a week & eating 6 meals a day. PSA — Building bigger muscles requires pushing heavier loads!! There are several factors that aid in your ability to push heavier loads: 👉🏼Adequate sleep 👉🏼Proper calorie intake 👉🏼NOT BEING LEAN AS HELLLLL …. We’re gonna focus on this one. Do you ever see super lean power lifters? No. Why? Cause having a little cushion helps with the pushin! 😂 Personal experience? Being 10lbs above stage weight ain’t it. 20+ lbs? Noooow we’re talkin. Now the weights are moving. Last week I finally shoulder pressed 40s like butter, which I hadn’t done in YEARS… the only thing I can attribute to that is my current body fat % 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes it’s uncomfortable. Yes every day will probably be a mental battle. The lines fade, the separation fades, the “I need to cut immediately” thoughts creep in.. But it’s only a season 😌 and when done with proper guidance & structure, the result is 100% worth it! In order to reach aesthetic goals, you MUST shift the focus away from the mirror & onto strength! Don’t JUST barely get uncomfortable & then shift gears. STAY THERE for a while. It’ll all make sense. Stay the course💪🏼

It’s okay to start over from scratch. Let the comeback be personal. 4 weeks into the improvement phase, slowly but surely things are escalating. Main movements across the Leg Session- mainly focusing over proper ROM and execution, not weight. Regardless keeping it heavy and intense enough to get the most out of the sets. Week 6 Growing Szn Update / Thoughts 🌱 Food got bumped up again, I got a compliment on my front pose, AND I have a free meal this weekend… It’s about to get nutty 🥜🤪 Weight is literally just a number on a scale. I’m around 10lbs up from my lowest weight and I love the way I look, even more than the physique I had at my smallest. My shape, skin, and hair just look way healthier. Just a reminder that the scale is used as a tool to help you reach your goals, but is it the most important and indicative of change? No. I encourage you to take photos and videos to record your changes. New training week starting off strong 😌 Squats • 281x3 — depth was better, thank god • 4x4 @ 241 Banded Bench • 1 @ 145 • 6x3 @ 120 4 and a half weeks into another round of @75hard.challenge and happy with how things are going. Slowly losing weight while eating more food, and strength is maintaining overall. Really trying to get my squat back to where it was last spring, it’s been frustrating, but we’re getting there, slowly but surely. The tippy tappy toes during my sets give me power ✨ Sometimes going down in weight to focus on form and tempo is necessary to lift heavier and better. Strength-training, correct form, and challenging yourself with progressive overload helps promote muscle growth. Ego-lifting is fun but so is not f__king your back up with incorrect form 🙃 Update: I’m about 8.5 lbs up from my lowest weight.
