This morning I told me I’m done with it The holidays are over and in 1 or another way, the December month is a weak excuse to execute the lifestyle that I, with some effort, had created. The lifestyle that gave me more energy, 14 burn-out kilos (that’s what I call them haha) lost weight 💪🏻, no more abdominal pain, slept better etc. I have hardly eaten bread for such a year, almost no potatoes and more vegetables. But they were exchanged for chocolate, Christmas rolls (in plural yes) and bread because: Well it’s tasty and (almost) Christmas, isn’t it? Apparently the short-term joy is sometimes still too tempting. Against better knowledge in 🙄 I had already reduced alcohol and had inserted Q4 2022 the rule that I only drank alcohol when I really felt like it. Not because I was out for dinner, we got visitors, because the sun was shining, it was Friday or other excuses. Was I out for dinner and don’t feel like it? I took a water. ‘I love water and that ‘’rule’’ actually gave me peace.’ ‘Why would you impose something on yourself because ‘’it should be’’?’ Now I will not forbid myself chocolate, but hops, the fresh soups, salads and vegetables will come back. And I have to tell you honestly that the pumpkin soup tasted delicious again this afternoon 🥰 🍷 1 month no alcohol to detox from it 🍞 Max 2x per week bread 🥝 At least 1 piece of fruit every day Time to pick up the thread again and back to the routine 🙏🏻. Gameweek 4 Am heutigen Sonntag empfingen uns die @virginguards.magdeburg zum nächsten Auswärtsspiel dieser Saison. Nachdem unsere A-Jugend ebenfalls in Magdeburg mit einem Sieg in die Saison gestartet ist, wollten die Seniors ebenfalls den nächsten Sieg einfahren Bei bestem Wetter ging es motiviert ins Spiel Leider war heute nicht der beste Tag unserer Mannschaft und so verlief der Start etwas holprig. Den ersten Touchdown erlief dann unsere #2 Jan Eisenbraun. Selbiger könnte auch den PAT verwandeln. Neuer Punktestand als 0:7 für uns. Allerdings ließen die Magdeburger nicht lange mit der Antwort auf sich warten und machten ebenfalls einen Touchdown mit PAT Das Spiel war auf beiden Seiten umkämpft bis zur Halbzeit jedoch mit dem besseren Ausgang für Magdeburg. Kurz vor der Halbzeit verwandelte #2 Jan Eisenbraun noch ein Fieldgoal So ging es mit 14:10 in die Halbzeit. Auch die zweite Halbzeit war eine enge Kiste. Nach einem weiteren Touchdown durch #18 @jan.rub18 mit PAT und einem Fieldgoal durch die Magdeburger ging es mit 17:17 in die Overtime. Hier konnte unser QB #11 @elliotbodman einen Touchdown erlaufen. Leider gelang uns die Tow Point Conversion im Anschluss nicht. Auch Magdeburg konnte nochmal einen Touchdown erzielen und nutze die Chance des PAT. Endstand 24:23 Jetzt heißt es Mund abputzen und den Blick auf nächste Woche gerichtet. I remember an animated discussion I once had while in college with a friend of mine. The phrase “It’s not whether you win or lose… it’s how you play the game” was popular at the time, and he was a very competitive individual.
