J'ai commencé de courrir dans cette commune, commune de mon enfance, par un tour, une boucle qui fait 2km. Lors d'un entraînement il m'est venue l'idée de m'amener à faire au minimum le marathon et pourquoi pas m'amener au 50km en faisant le hamster 🐹 sur cette boucle. J'ai décidé d'embarquer les habitants de ma commune pour ce défi, pour m'aider à faire cette boucle. Ils pourront m'accompagner en courant ou en marchant et on comptabilisera les tours de chacun pour arriver à un record de tour. Pas d'objectif de temps, vu que je sors de mon marathon. C'est plus un défi symbolique de distance que d'exploit sportif. Another beautiful morning before the rain comes. Supporting bed hair as normal. Lovely miles round Devils Dyke. Coffee from @the_wildflowercafesaddlescombe was very welcome. Tucked away in Saddlescombe Farm it was just opening as I finished. Perfect 👌🏻 Got back to the car only to find a teradactly sized bird had emptied its oversized stuffed belly over my car. I was not under a tree so this was a flyby airborne attack. I had dead half digested worms, bugs and all sorts of yuk over the car. Fortunately as a trail runner and dog owner I have endless amount of wet wipes and poo bags in the car. Not a pleasant job and how the heck did it get behind the door handle 🤢🤮 Anyway still had a fantastic time. WELL I MUST HAVE PLANNED IT RIGHT I was one of the lucky runners in the sunshine this afternoon 😎 After absolutely loving volunteering last year I was really looking forward to running the @tape2tapeuk Lincolnshire half this morning. To be honest the kit was laid out and I was all ready to go but with advice from my physio and also my own gut I decided to run my own miles. My confidence over the last couple of weeks has massively decreased and I have been almost feeling afraid to go out on a run. It band issues are a bloody nightmare - all feels good until the miles increase then the pain starts! But over the last couple of days sticking to my new plan I am definitely feeling improvements and todays 11miler actually felt not bad🙏(thanks for the positive vibes along the way @bdrose77) I am doing everything I can to get to the @londonmarathon start line I feel I have worked so hard and don’t want it to slip away from me - the race today wasn’t my priority and I’m proud of me for making that decision because us runners can be so stubborn! Woke up, raining. Drove to Devils Dyke, chucking it down. Got out of car, stopped raining. Ran most the route, no rain. Last 2 miles, chucked it down. Soaked. Lovely run this morning. Pinched a route from someone on Strava/IG @richwillrun Although I’ve done Devils Dyke many time it was also nice to do parts I’ve never done but always looked and thought where’s that path go then. Nice lot of hills and the cows were all in other fields 🐄 Enough mud to have a slip slide and a swear. I knew my training plan had an easy 6.8mile run scheduled today, and I knew when I woke up, I didn't want to run 6.8 miles, so I didn't and I ran an easy 3.13. Sometimes you've got to do what your body and head tell you!
