Hey guys tonight’s movie was Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin This movie is completely different and I feel has no connection to the last ones, this is about a women name Margot who seeks her mother who abandoned her as a baby soon finds a contact that leads her to an Amish family where her mother grew up but the longer she stays the stranger the community gets and finds out a deep dark secret that changes everything she knew. This movie definitely felt different to all the others, it did start slow at the start but the story gets there. New stuff I've gotten the past week. When I saw three Phantasm movies I gotten so excited, looked for the other two for a good bit but alas it was futile. I'm going to be making another Hellraiser post soon to show off The Hellbound Heart with the rest of my collection. Both The Craft: Legacy and Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin complete their respective franchises for me so I'm going to have to make posts for them later also. I still need Rise of the Beasts to complete the live-action Transformers franchise and way more V/H/S movies to complete that one. I've ever only played one Prince of Persia game so it's nice to finally get another one. I might wait to get more X-Men funkos before I show off that side of the collection again. Honestly, it's probably just a Wolverine away from doing it though.

I rewatched Jingle All The Way and I’ll Be Home For Christmas. These are both awesome movies! My favorites! Lastly I rewatched Paranormal Activity Next Of Kin. This is one of my favorite found footage horror movies. I know it doesn’t go with the other paranormal activity movies but I never seen any of the others so I thought this movie was really good. I do think they should have called this movie something else because it’s a way different movie than the other Paranormal Activity movies. Horror movie review: Paranormal Activity Next of Kin Was this even a paranormal activity movie? I thought it actually started off strong, for once I really liked the main character they seemed like such a nice person. But 30 minutes into the movie I realised There's nothing paranormal happening?! It fell off so hard and just didn't feel related at all. A big fat let down. Pero puede ser que ellos no sean Amish, si no algo mucho más siniestro... ¡Y por fin he acabado esta saga! Esta se debería llamar, Paranormal Activity: "El insulto final" No tiene nada que ver con las otras de #ParanormalActivity . Es como esas malísimas películas de #Hellraiser donde meten a #Pinhead al final para justificar el título. Esta tiene en común con las otras que es #FoundFootage , ¡Pero hasta eso está mal hecho! El "Metraje Encontrado" tiene unas normas básicas sencillas: Cámara de mano,planos de cámara temblorosa, calidad de imagen cuestionable, sonido ambiente; y forzando, se puede meter planos generales en plan cámara de seguridad. Aquí se lo saltan todo a la torera: Calidad de imágen de HD para arriba, tomas perfectas incluso en medio de persecuciones con una estabilidad increíble, planos imposibles (incluso tomados desde la entrepierna de los personajes), postproducción con cámara lenta; y lo mejor de todo... ¡Banda sonora! 🤦‍♂️ Ah, sin olvidarme cuando la prota se pone delante de una cámara, y aprovecha la visión nocturna para leer una nota. A ver... La visión nocturna de las cámaras, NO ilumina. Si no, ya no sería "visión nocturna" ¿No creéis? Y no era mala historia, con sectas demonios y demás. Pero es que aún encima los protas son tan estúpidos como: "Mira este agujero profundísimo rodeado de sangre" "Vale, vete bajándome. Day 10 of Winter Horror Movie Recs is Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin (2021). Margot, a young woman who was abandoned by her mother as a baby, travels to a secluded Amish community with a documentary film crew seeking answers about her mother and extended family. This is a bit of a departure from the rest of the films in this series, which annoyed many people but that's one of the reasons it absolutely worked for me (not a found footage fan - don't @ me). 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN Day 7 : PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: NEXT OF KIN The last - or at least the most recent - PARANORMAL ACTIVITY film ventures into folk horror territory, albeit through the usual found-footage lens. It is one of the best in the series, building to a terrifying and bloody climax. Unfortunately, it's a PARANORMAL ACTIVITY movie in name only, being the first in the series to not connect to previous instalments. Now I've watched all the films, how does PARANORMAL ACTIVITY measure up as series? Well, the first one doesn't really have much of a plot, but - like THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT - it's more of an experience than a story. The plot comes with the second film, but at the expense of scariness. The third film is the best all-rounder - entertaining and frightening. The fourth has it's moments, but is ultimately unsatisfying. The fifth is excellent, the sixth sporadically entertaining but convoluted, and the seventh is great even if it doesn't belong in the series. It’s a bit over-hated on. While it’s not exactly good, it’s not bad either. It’s an entertaining story and that counts for something in my book. Film Fun Fact: Originally conceived for theatrical release but due to the COVID-19 pandemic Paramount decided to change its release strategy and make it as a Paramount+ exclusive; making this the first Paranormal Activity film to not be given a theatrical release. Just watched this. Is it the most recent in the series? I’ve not seen all of them. Quite slow for first half and went full-tilt monster horror second half. I introduced #paranormalactivity to my youngest son, we watched the first two movies he loved them, I think the first three Paranormal activity movies are the best out of the series although, I liked #paranormalactivitynextofkin was pretty good! 'Paranormal Activity: Allegados' (2021). Golosísima esta última entrega de la saga. Esta vez unos chavales se van a grabar a la casa de una comunidad amish con la intención de investigar los orígenes de la madre de una de ellos, que la abandonó de bebé y había crecido en Ia comunidad. La historia está bien pensada, hay buenos sustos y mal rollo, y el desarrollo es interesante. Probablemente una de las mejores de la saga, pero yo de esta saga me como hasta los andares.
