It safely allows for one arm to be out and one arm to be in, which makes the transition much easier on your little one. Step one: When it’s time to get your baby out of their arms-in swaddle, begin by swaddling with one arm in and one arm out for 2-3 days (I like to rotate which arm is swaddled in and which arm is free, every other nap and nighttime). It’s ok to follow your baby’s lead on the timing of how many days you do this for. Releasing one arm at a time helps them get used to the freedom without it being too overwhelming. Step two: After a few days or when your baby seems to be doing well with one arm out, graduate to both arms out. It's time I post another unedited photo. This is me, with zero editing to my face other than the moody brown filter I add to make my feed flow. It does ZERO to alter my skin or face whatsoever. Minimal makeup, no hairdo. I'm posting this because a couple wks ago I posted a reel asking for advice with some mud. It was a very cold day. I'd been working in the barn, early am, no makeup, unflattering angle and light, with no thought to my appearance. This all on top of spending the last several months moving my entire family, including 3 horses, 4 dogs and a squirrel, 1000 miles, mostly single handedly, with the exception of the actual loading and unloading. Oh and lets not forget losing the love of my life less than 3 weeks past. I was not looking my best to say the least. I got a message from a concerned follower asking if I was ok because I looked different. Now it was kindly meant, so I'm absolutely not calling this person out. But it stuck with me and I finally figured out why. So I'm posting this with wrinkles and spots and all to say this...We all present only our best to social media the vast majority of the time. I cull 100s of photos to find the best few to post. I share snippets of my life, snapshots. You dont generally see the crap thats around me all day. The huge bucket of horse shit i painstakingly roll to the manure pile every day, the husky hair all over my clothes and floor. The dog pee I clean up from my baseboards because Chihuahuas have notoriously tiny bladders. The bad hair days I wake up with every single day. The fat rolls when I'm bloated. So, just a reminder because I think it's a really really important thing to keep in mind when you scroll, social media isn't real life. I don't look like my posts 95% of the time. I look like an average 56 year old woman (who was maybe a hottie in her younger years, haha). Thats all. And it always involves grabbing a day to just kick back and diving into the things that relax the mind.
