I don’t know about anyone else, but when I wake up for the morning, the first thing that I do is grab my phone. I can’t help it - I’ve created the WORST habit for waking up. It’s like I want the instant dopamine kick of hilarious Reels and sending them to people and laughing before I start my day. I feel like if you’re doing it for five or ten minutes? Totally cool. But when it’s been an hour and you’re stuck in the time suck of the doomscroll - it makes creating your own content seem more daunting, it makes getting ready for the day more daunting, and it decreases your motivation. How do I know? I do it ALL THE TIME. So this is your reminder that if you’ve been doomscrolling for more than 10 minutes, put your phone down and start your day. Or put your phone down and say hi to the person next to you. Go ride your bike or go for a walk or listen to a record. Literally do anything. Then come back and say hi again, because we do like that you’re on social media sometimes - just like everything, though, things are better in moderation. There’s a reason it’s our jobs, after all :) We think social media can be a fun place to be, so long as you aren’t forgetting that there’s a real world out there that loves you, too.

🇬🇧👇🫐 il seguito di "Belladonna" uscirà all'inizio del prossimo mese e @pendragonsshop ha già annunciato l'uscita di una box extra per avere un'edizione che andrà a far compagnia a quella che vedete in questo post 🤩 Personalmente credo che leggerò questo secondo libro solo quando vorrò alternare una lettura leggera ad altre più strong, perché “Belladonna” è stata si una lettura carina, ma non è stato un libro dai grandi risvolti e scossoni, piuttosto una lettura placida e delicata letta con piacere e leggerezza... niente per cui strapparsi i capelli insomma, ma perfetta per staccare 😊 👉 “Belladonna” è uno young adult dalla scrittura estremamente semplice. L’autrice unisce un’ambientazione di stampo vittoriano a elementi magici, più cari al paranormal gotico che al fantasy 🫐🫐 Lezioni di etichetta e strane morti, crinoline e fantasmi. Un romanzo che ha il pregio di non annoiare, pur essendo estrememamene scontato. L'erede al trono è un idealista con sani principi, in lite però con il padre, molto più pragmatico nel governare. A peggiorare le cose, la pace precaria con i regni vicini è sempre in bilico e una guerra sarebbe la rovina per il regno... ago della bilancia in questo contesto sarà Violet, pedina del re sfruttata per il suo potere. Violet e Cryus hanno ideali molto diversi e sono sempre in contrasto tra loro, questo però non esclude un avvicinamento tra i due tanto intenso quanto pericoloso 🫣 un fantasy romance dal romance non troppo esagerato, ma intrigrante, che lascia il lettore con un finale inaspettato, con un colpo di scena che rimette in gioco tutte le carte.
