Maybe you had temper tantrums to get attention or to create a diversion from something bad that was happening. Without safe adults to move you out of that behavior, you didn’t learn other ways to be and the temper tantrums stayed. Now they come out as rage. Your relationships are fraught with battles. Maybe you felt unheard and ignored even when you did speak so you got louder and louder. You yelled, interrupted, cried, and demanded attention trying to be heard. Now as an adult those behaviors drive friends and colleagues away. You’re still not heard. Maybe you didn’t feel safe as a child or you were teased or mocked at home. You retreated and became invisible. Attention feels excruciating to you. As an adult those behaviors keep you playing small and deny you the life, love, and opportunities you really want. I get it. When we’re little we think and solve for life with a child’s mind, because we are CHILDREN. It’s not bad or wrong. It’s appropriate. Now, as adults, we need to mature and update our thinking and responses. We need to create new ways of responding and feeling safe. The behaviors and coping mechanisms you created when you were two years old, or five, or 12 helped you survive the stress and fear and worry and sadness of childhood. Now? For you as an adult? They hurt you and hold you back. Whatever coping mechanism you created, I get it. In the context of your childhood, it probably made a lot of sense. Without safe, nurturing guidance as you grew, you didn’t create new ADULT and mature ways of being, thinking, and coping. My coaching can help. May 03, 2024. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬... It’s 2024, when people my age most probably don’t write diaries any more. Some may do. Many others have digital journals. And here I am opening a pile of my old diaries, while I continuously crave for more. People have many kinds of collecting hobbies. Some collect stones, some tickets, some old coins, some bottle caps, while here I am, eyeing on diaries because they look so pretty to me. At the same time, the empty pages of my half-filled diaries are staring at me asking to fill the rest of the pages first, but I am busy awing more. At the age, when our world only resolved around schools, some of us have that one diary that we took roll calls on, when we played teacher. Another one from the days when we hit puberty and collected all kind of cringe poetical stanzas, the old face book memes, the not so laughable jokes that made us laugh so hard at that time, that we wanted to preserve them for generations. And one from the time, when we rebel against our parents. That one has spot of tears and I wondered how every new entry discussed the same problem. On some of those diaries we painted our true selves, we spread the colors that echoed what we were born to be. Those diaries witnessed the conversion of words into poetical expression and give space to someone’s emotions. Someone liked being a writer, so some of those diaries have the pieces of their imagination, half-written on the pages, waiting to get completed. And what is fascinating is how all these diaries are the record of us growing up over time. From an artist to a writer, from a cry baby to someone finally standing for themselves, from the handwritings that were barely eligible to neatly crafted words erased with tears. This is how we grew up – being a kid who loved writing diaries (and collecting too). Miamas là vương quốc của những câu chuyện của tích, tại đây người ta giao dịch với nhau bằng những câu chuyện hay. Mirevas là vương quốc của âm nhạc. Miaudacas là vương quốc của lòng dũng cảm, mọi người sẽ đến đó để fill can đảm và tiếp tục hành trình sống. Mibatolos là vương quốc của những chiến binh. Miploris là vương quốc lưu giữ nỗi buồn, tại đây, người tứ xứ đổ về để quăng những bị nỗi buồn thật to của họ. Sau này, bà ngoại còn bàn với ông Alf để cho ra vương quốc thứ 7, có tên "Tôi tha thứ" 🙂. Elsa lớn lên cùng những câu chuyện của bà, và cả những trò quậy phá của bà nữa. Ai cũng nói là bà ngoại là một bà già gàn dở không giống ai. Bà ngoại là người sẵn sàng ném cục phân vào mặt cảnh sát chỉ vì muốn Elsa nhớ đến ngày hôm đó không phải bằng kí ức bị bắt nạt, mà bằng một kí ức khác lố lắng mạo hiểm hơn. Trước khi bà ngoại mất vì căn bệnh ung thư, bà ngoại đã giao cho Elsa nhiệm vụ gửi đi các bức thư bà để lại. Và hành trình người đưa thư của Elsa bắt đầu. Trong hành trình đưa thư đó, Elsa nhận ra rằng tất cả những người sống cùng toà nhà với Elsa và bà ngoại, hay cả cô cảnh sát, đều là những người bà ngoại đã quen từ rất lâu, là những người bà ngoại đã từng giúp đỡ khi còn trẻ. Nhưng những gì bà muốn gửi đến họ khi cuối đời đều là lời xin lỗi, những hối tiếc của bà trong quá khứ, hay những việc bà cảm thấy mình chưa trọn. Cuối cùng, Elsa nhận ra rằng hoá ra tất cả những câu chuyện cổ tích bà ngoại kể đều là những câu chuyện riêng của bà, của những người trong toà nhà họ sống. Cũng thông qua hành trình đó, Elsa nhặt được những mảnh ghép về cuộc đời của bà ngoại mình. Và lời xin lỗi cuối cùng bà ngoại gửi là dành cho Elsa.
